The Hitler image is part of a teaser to "10 New Books We Recommend This Week."
Here's the article on Jenna Bush Hager's new book, "Everything Beautiful in Its Time." I've got to admit, I think the sentiment in the title is utter bullshit, and I myself would be tempted to put a photograph of Hitler next to it to make it look especially stupid, so I'm just pointing out that the NYT did this.

NYT has a front page story today how BLM closed the 11-Worth Cafe in Omaha because one of the breakfast items was named The Robert E. Lee.
The 11-Worth Cafe was beloved in Omaha. Always packed. Like The Cottage Cafe in Madison.
One word: Bushitler.
"Everything Beautiful in Its Time."
I've got to admit, I think the sentiment in the title is utter bullshit...
Including Ray Stevens circa 1970.
Remember, the democraticals and their LLR-lefty trained lap poodles called W a literal Hitler, a coward, AWOL and a deserter, a mass murdering criminal, head of the Bush Family Evil Empire, a traitor for "allowing" and possibly executing the attack on the twin towers with internal placed explosives, that he literally was incapable of reading, said he stole the 2000 and 2004 election, and on and on it went.
Sound familiar?
It should since the marxist dems and their housebroken LLR minions have said that about every republican going back to 1948 when Truman called Dewey a "Hitler AND a Stalin".
Looking back from the time of Trump, even BushHitler is beautiful to the NYT.
Well they left Hitler up but took down Jenna Bush. The Hitler description just begs for TDS comments, so that's probably why.
See your optometrist Althouse. That's a picture of Trump. It's even labeled so you can recognize it.
I didn't read the book, but VP Pence's daughter was on C-Span a while back plugging it. She wrote about her travails on the campaign trail. He dog died and she didn't have proper time to grieve for it. You can't get more innocuous than that. Pence's daughter is extremely cute and personable. Iirc, she's a communications major or was at the time. I wonder why we don't see more of her. Maybe if she expressed some reservations about Trump, she could land a network contract, but she doesn't want to go down that route. I guess she'll have to wait until her father leaves office before achieving the stardom of Chelsea Clinton.....Jenna Bush is likable. I would never read her book, but I don't instinctively change the channel when she appears on tv. Chelsea Clinton has a kind of negative magnetism. I like to hate watch her. Although she doesn't have Mom's sex appeal, she does have some of Hillary's charm. She's infinitely worse than Fredo. I'd like to see more of her. Perhaps she could do a series of investigative reports for NBC on the pernicious effects of nepotism in government.
Did y'all know Hitler was bad? No really, he was bad. Real bad. He did bad things. And bad things are bad. And we have a man now in the White who does bad things. He is bad too. Just like.........,,
"NYT has a front page story today how BLM closed the 11-Worth Cafe in Omaha because one of the breakfast items was named The Robert E. Lee"
Why can't the cafe owner sue BLM? You can't illegally harrass customers and staff and drive the owner out of business!
I'm sure jenna bush is likable, and not a crazy leftist, but I'm not going to defend ANYONE in the Bush family. Just because some Left-wing editor doesn't like them or wants to make them look bad, doesn't mean they're on our side.
I've got to admit, I think the sentiment in the title is utter bullshit, and I myself would be tempted to put a photograph of Hitler next to it to make it look especially stupid, so I'm just pointing out that the NYT did this.
There are a number of ways to read that "sentiment," only one of which I would agree is bullshit.
Bushitler, like tiki torches, seems almost quaint now, doesn't it?
Ann, when is your book coming out?
Worthless post.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. - Solomon
So what was it that Jenna Bush did wrong exactly? If the answer is "nothing" then sending us off to view "Bush twins" posts seems senseless at best.
At lease they didn't put an apostrophe in 'its.'
Progress.
"In its time?" I thought a thing of beauty was a joy forever.
Who would not agree that Professora sunrise photos are beautiful even in this time of turmoil in Madison WI
that is no bull shit.
I agree with rcocean, but I would like to point out that both of the Bush twins have done a lot to make this world a better place, particularly in attacking AIDS in Africa. I respect that. Next to them Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton are both a total waste of oxygen.
Three trimesters and counting. Life is beautiful.

Worthless post.
I hate to agree with R, and I do, even if that means that NYT anti-Bush, anti-R messaging, however sly or pointless, should be unopposed.
I agree with AA that it's worth pointing out, though for the Nth time who cares maybe; my objection to AA's writing the above - is your hatred of beauty to complement your love of ugliness and all that is bad, so thoroughgoing that your dull eyes cannot bear to read the word, beauty?
I find you shallow and superficial, Ann, and your taste to be a negative indicator; I suppose it's part of your charm by now, but what have you even understood the sentiment of the title to be?
At this point we are approaching to 100th anniversary of the Beer Hall Putsch.
Not saying Hitler is not worthy of study, etc. But the endless focus on him as some sort of avatar of the dread "far right" is a sign of how static our "official" understanding of history and politics has become. If you rely on sources like the NYT to understand the world, you are not learning anything except maybe by accident.
Jeff C beat me to it.
On the other hand, Solomon WAS a pussy-grabber, so there's that.
Lots of women getting the cruel neutrality treatment today -- Anita Hill, Clara K, Joan Baez, Bush Hager, even Princess Bride. And what was Bill really thinking as he watched Hillary! do her thing? Probably something out of a Roth novel (does Bill have an analyst like Portnoy, or is he now reduced to getting off like Mickey Sabbath?).
Only the vortex knows.
Rcocean:
1. BLM was on the sidewalk outside the business.
2. The owner didn’t want the grief so he closed it.
3. Good luck collecting a judgment.

Recursive post.
A Tale of Two Cities
Bush will vote Biden but the left still regard the Bush family as Hitler.
Wonder if they care?
HEY!!!! ONE MORE REASON for me to despise, detest, and DISTRUST the NYT!
"Here's my teaser line for a movie about a young white woman in the BLM protests of 2020: Sometimes protesting against white privilege is the most white-privileged thing you can do." Nailed it, you have.
The Democrats have styled on their latest tactic: what Trump “allegedly said”. The latest is from Bill Kristol. Which is odd actually, since Bill Kristol once allegedly said “I like to pop the cherries of six year girls but I have to look at Abu Ghraib photos first to get a hard-on.”
What exactly is your objection to "Everything is beautiful in its time." It's from Ecclesiastes which is one of humanity's masterpieces.
I think Bush is aiming for a specific audience, the Hallmark crowd (the TV channel, not necessarily the greeting cards, although maybe the cards as well). And for those people, it's not utter bullshit, it's at least aspirational, to see the world in this sweet and pleasant way. Probably there aren't a lot of those types in academia? But they are to be found pretty much everywhere else.
Anyway, I've wondered before how one of the Bush twins was able to succeed in mainstream (aka lefty) media but after reading the article I see why she's been accepted. I wonder if she's gone back to talk to that Muslim teacher who was so worried after election night in 2016, to see if she's still feeling the same way. Maybe the book reveals that but I will never know because I am never going to read that book.
What's wrong with the sentiment in the title?! That line from Ecclesiastes follows the poem (3:1-8) that everyone knows because of the Byrds' song:
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
Anyone who has been through some of life's highs and lows (let alone 9/11, Iraq War, Katrina) could resonate with that, and find wisdom in 3:11's big-picture perspective for coping with the worst of it. Certainly any member of any first family of any political party.
The rest of Ecclesiastes too.
“Everything Beautiful in Its Time” A Memoir by Michael Cohen
The ny times whose josef stalin obituary went something like,"If you weren't one of the tens of millions of people he murdered or enslaved, you got the privilege of standing in a line for bread" as if it were a good thing.
"Although she doesn't have Mom's sex appeal, she does have some of Hillary's charm. "
Very high calorie count on that one, William!
Keep the title, change the author's name to one of the Obama girls and you will see a picture of Harriet Tubman or Rosa Parks. We all know how this works.
Ecclesiastes was a funny guy.
AA poetic hero: "Besides in many of his songs, along with references from the New Testament, Bob Dylan takes more lines from the Old Testament than you can shake a candelabrum at." From the Untold Dylan website. https://bob-dylan.org.uk/archives/15200
I think maybe you are reading a little too much into this.
Hitler was a Pro-Choice ethicist (e.g. wicked solution), a rabid diversitist (i.e. color bigot, racist), an enthusiast of the redistributive change economic philosophy of the socialists. The Nazis were progressive beyond measure for their time. The prototypes of left-wing ideologues past and present.
Everything is Beautiful in its Time: Seasons of Love and Loss. Seems like an appropriate title for the book’s contents based upon the blurb I read. To consider the sentiment of thIs biblical reference utter bullshit and to have the desire to make it look stupid by pairing it with a picture of Hitler seems rather harsh. I’m surprised at your reaction given the level and quantity of bullshit and stupidity found written in the NYT everyday. I’d pair that nonsense with Stalin, Mona and Pol Pot to make my point.
My contempt for the Bushes grows daily.
"... and I myself would be tempted to put a photograph of Hitler next to it to make it look especially stupid..." Of course you would.
The artist who put that image there made a mistake. It should have been 43’s image. Perhaps they did not wanted Bushes in both columns.
The cruel neutrality meter seems to have moved a bit towards the cruel side today.
NYT editorializes from the safe space of close associations. Meanwhile, Palin's lawsuit moves forward. Sandmann is vindicated as a target of rabid diversitists and transhuman JournoLists, Democrat activists, et al.
"Everything Beautiful in Its Time." I've got to admit, I think the sentiment in the title is utter bullshit.
After puzzling over this for some time, I realized that there's no "is" in the title.
It's a quote from the Bible: "He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end." Ecclesiastes, 3:11
The first eight versus of Ecclesiastes 3 are the basis for the Pete Seeger/Byrds song. I guess it may be bullshit as Bush uses, but Ecclesiastes is quite deep and not easy to fathom.
