The Federal Courthouse in downtown Oakland on Clay St. is pretty ugly. The mob have vandalized nearly all small businesses (mostly Asian owned shops) in Broadway. The grafiti on the courthouse and surrounding shops is ugly ("Kill the cops!", "ACAB" or "FTP").
There's still bullet holes in the windows where Patrick Underwood, Federal security guard was shot and killed. I read somewhere that they tried to burn down the courthouse (ironically named for black Democrat Congressman Ron Dellums), but have not been as persistent as the mob in Portland.

Let us compare Kyle Rittenhouse, who was protecting property and friends businesses and providing first aid to people injured by rioting animals the night he defended himself to the alleged leftist shooter and Democrat hero in Portland Michael Reinoehl:

Who's saying it is? Polling is getting notoriously inaccurate due to people refusing to tell what they're actually thinking. A lot of people are seeing for themselves (thanks to the Internet) EXACTLY what's going on without massive media spin. At a certain point, those who don't have a lot of 'sunk cost' in their ideological political affiliations are going "WTF? I can't support this - but I don't dare tell my spouse/SO/friends I'm not voting for Biden." So they maintain the fiction.
There's others who won't care - they're die-hards who'll vote for the D because they've always voted for the D and they're good team supporters. They don't care about the ideology or the results thereof, they're Ds because they've always been Ds, and that's it.
And there's folks for whom results matter. They see what's going on and are changeable in their political affiliations, they'll go for whoever promises the best results long-term. Dems have shown that results don't matter. They're promising a LOT of pain, hate and discontent if they get elected. Who would willingly vote for a metaphorical kick in the nuts, continuing for 4-8 years?
So - I'm cautiously optimistic that Trump's got an edge, not reported in the polls. But we'll see in November.

1. That third person had a gun

Just watching the videos, of all four shootings, I had gotten the impression that Jake Blake was not actually "in custody", but rather was resisting arrest, and that Kyle Rittenhouse was being chased by a mob shouting "Get his ass!". I don't think it's a surprise that there are protester / rioters who aren't interested in just tweaking things a bit and instead want to tear the whole thing down. I think they may confuse Joe Biden, though, chanting "Death to America", he may think it's 1980 and start talking about how his opponent is a danger to the country and can't be trusted. Oh, wait...well, as long as he doesn't mention the Shah or "voodoo economics" nobody should know the difference.

So if No True Democrat would ever stand for this chaos, and the Republicans are hopping mad about it too, when can we expect the Democratic mayors of these shitholes to turn their cops loose and put a stop to the lawlessness? Total BS. He was the one being attacked, and he was not just retreating, but actually running away. The guy who he shot in the arm was pointing a handgun at him. The other one had attacked him from behind and was trying to kill him. They were a bunch of people trying to catch him and kill him. That was what they were yelling. And now they are trying to figure out his cell, so that they can kill him in jail.

Most of the sources I've seen regarding Carillo describe the Boogaloo phenomenon as "extremist," with qualifiers that include "libertarian."
It's not surprising, though, that Rebecca Kaplan would characterize the Boogaloo the way she did -- "without evidence," as they say. Kaplan is a far-left shrieking lunatic, as I know from my personal acquaintance with her (speaking of checking in from Oakland, though I moved away last year).
