That's how it looks in The Washington Post. The top left 2/3s of the home page:
You may wonder: What about Trump's Middle East deal? Isn't that the big news? Well, it is over there on the right-hand side under the heading "Opinion," the 4th item down, a column by Max Boot: "Despite the UAE-Israel deal, Trump will leave the Mideast a bigger mess than he found it."
It's easy to understand. Whatever happened, it's bad for Trump, and it's important to the extent that it's bad for Trump.
I see I have a tag "going Washington Postal." I'm adding it because it seems randomly appropriate and because I want to publish and click on it to see what it really is.

Nobody here would put cash in an envelope and mail it. Why would you do that with your vote.
"Only scheme I can think of requires all Democrats, say, to discreetly mark a certain part of the return envelope. Then ALL the ballot receiptors know to keep them and throw away all the others not so marked."
Wow. Think harder, but not hard. Every single precinct has a long, long election history, and every address is tied to a precinct. All you have to do is simply can from heavily Democratic voting precincts to cheat for Republicans, and do the opposite to cheat for Democrats. And given the political donation history of postal workers, it is pretty obvious that Republicans would be at a cheating disadvantage. I would simply target precincts that vote 1.5 to 1 or higher for the Republican candidate- just toss all the ballots I collected from that precinct- I would not care what the individual vote really was- my method would be guaranteed to give the Democrats an edge.
“This is so stupid. The mail has no idea what candidate was checked on a mail-in ballot.”
As others have pointed out, they win if they play the odds - all they would need to do to bias the election is to throw out the ballots from precincts that voted for the other party 8n the last election. Sure, you would throw away some for your candidate, but a lot more ballots for the other party. My memory was that some USPS employee was caught doing just that.
Remember when Trump launched an effort to clean up the voter roles and Democrats sued to stop him? Whatever the problems may be with the post office, this act by the Democrats made vote by mail impossible.
I've mentioned this before: have you ever received misdelivered mail and written "Wrong Address" or "Not at this Address" on it? How many times have you done that in your life?
Now, how many times have you RECEIVED a piece of mail with a message like that on it? Stuff disappears.
@rhhardin, the contract didn’t cover “proportionate fixed costs” buy it was still a good deal for the Post Office. Suuuuuure.
But my real point Is that the system is overly stressed right now. Can it handle an influx of males ballots? No intelligent person thinks so.

For whatever reason, at one particular place I used to live, I got mail all the time for the same street address but different street. Sometimes I’d deliver it myself, sometimes I’d set it aside to deal with later and then forget about it, but most of the time I wrote “wrong address” and put it back in the mail (you have to write something on it because the stamp has been cancelled). Not once in the 5 years that I lived there did I receive a piece of mail with a forwarding note.
Asking the obvious question - why are we talking mail in voting anyway? There was an article over at Reason the other day about tit being inevitable. My question was why? Why do our “leaders” believe that it is both necessary and inevitable?
Even today, a combination of in person and absentee would work just fine. Most people would do just fine with in person voting. Just do the seal social distancing thing, keep the machines 6-8 feet apart, swab down the machines between uses, like they do shopping carts, and provide absentee voting for those with comorbidities, including age.
Much of the country is no longer in complete lockdown. So, again, why this demand for universal mail in voting?
My view is that the only rational answer to that is that the demand is coming from the top of the Democrat party. Palsi and Schemer, now Biden and Harris are demanding it, now Their propaganda arm, the MSM Is assuming it and screaming about how Trump and the Republicans are trying to kill everyone by not giving it to them. Dem Governors are doing what they can to give it to them. It whipped through the NV legislature and was signed into law by their Dem governor so fast, that their heads spun. No debate. Just introduction, vote, and signing, in a couple days.
Trump seems to be about the only one pushing back a bit. And now maybe Dr Faucci. Because everyone knows that it is both necessary and inevitable. Except, of course, it is neither - neither necessary nor inevitable.
What is going on?
My theory is that the Dems have several, interrelated goal here. The obvious one is cheating. They pretty much have to know that if the vote were held today, Trump would win. He has done much better than Biden and Harris could even dream of having done against both the pandemic and the violence by the Dems’ militant wing AntiFA, BLM, etc. Moreover, the long awaited SpyGate indictments have started to roll out, showing that they did the unthinkable. They used our national security apparatus, esp in the FBI and DOJ to spy on their political enemies, esp Trump, and then used them to attack him and hamstring his first three years as President. This was the Clinton people removing all of the Ws from all of the keyboards in the WH when vacating in 2001, upped by 16 notches. Soros bought Secretaries of State, along with election officials, across the country in 2018, and this is why: cheating.
Soros also put millions into AntiFA and BLM. They are both avowed Marxist, though some of their people are more anarchists and nihilists. Doesn’t matter. The goal is the same - to destroy this country from within, because they couldn’t defeat it on the battlefield. Instead the USSR fell, and the PRC is starting to totter. If they can’t cheat their way to power, they can at least destroy the will of the people in this country by keeping the results of the election in doubt for months. (And of course, they keep the threat of Trump not leaving the WH if he loses as their excuse to not concede even if and when it becomes inevitable that they should).
To think that but for what Trump is doing, mail in voting would be just fine, is to think that only Trump has an interest in skewing this election.
Now, does that make sense to anyone?
Here's a quick clip from a CBS news investigation.

3% of the test ballots they sent out didn't arrive. We should be talking about this. But obviously, this Trump conspiracy is a way of avoiding talking about how we are not ready for a national mail in vote, and to make it look like it's because Trump is cheating.
If Trump wins, it's because he hacked the post office. Not because the post office and states just cannot handle this. Which everyone has to know it can't.
We should be able to have a real conversation about this, especially after so many of the Dem primaries had really weird vote counting issues.
Does the fact that we can't even discuss whether mail in voting is a good idea mean we are too far gone, or does it mean the powers that be are obfuscating for their own purposes?
Even Postman Pat. Yes. My postman's name is Pat. Thinks this is a very bad idea. Not only for the reasons mentioned above but also because There is no way to confirm that the person on the envelope is the person voting. And with "motor voter" well. The fraud just commits itself.

My theory is that this is "an insurance policy" to keep the obvious from being seen. They want to cheat but I'm not sure the Democrats and their flunkies are smart enough. For example, the new Nevada system failed in the primary, sending 200,000 ballots to wrong addresses.
The real plan is to create chaos so the counting goes on until January 21 when, if Trump and Pence have not been sworn in, Pelosi takes over. I know it sounds crazy but all you have to do is read a few comments by ARM and Inga to see how there are millions ready to believe anything.
I doubt they can carry it off but there are plenty of idiots ready to believe anything that is TDS.
"As others have pointed out, they win if they play the odds - all they would need to do to bias the election is to throw out the ballots from precincts that voted for the other party 8n the last election."
And you only need to do this in the contested or swing states. It's a much smaller project than some are making it out to be.
Democrats favor making it easier to vote, for mail in voting, and any other changes to the system because they think these things will advantage them. Reason has been making the argument that voting should be a big deal and not simple or easy. I've thought the same thing for as long as I can remember. People that advocate change of any type are motivated by their displeasure with the outcome of the most recent election.
That's just the WaPo, WaPooping.
“This is so stupid. The mail has no idea what candidate was checked on a mail-in ballot.”
No? Tell that to Washington state voters who had to check their party preference on the outside of the envelope during the Presidential primary earlier this year. The Presidential primary that had only Donald J. Trump in the Republican field.

Does the UAE Israel deal benefits the USA more than having a postmaster general financial profit from running USPS into a ditch to suppress vote by mail?
Remember me to downtown Crapistan, you and your "fellow" gyrenes.
I thought you GAF about Beirut. Guess that was a lie. Too bad, you was all touching and shit. (Did that explosion of their bomb factory at the port give you wood? If not, why not?)
Meanwhile nothing happened at the post office. God what a snowflake. USPS sucks, has sucked for my entire life, will continue to suck indefinitely.
