At the Friday Night Café...
... go ahead and write about anything.
As for that photograph, it was taken at 6:02 this morning, and we spent a lot of time trying to understand the unusual orange shape on the water — an elongated doughnut shape. It's a clear sky — Type #3 — sunrise. I've seen that many times. But the shape on the water brings uniqueness to this sunrise.

Nice framing...
Is this what they arrested Millie Weaver for?
We finally met Jacob.
Meanwhile, Jack is being Jack. You know, having a pretty boy play him and having his character be a doctor fooled a lot of people into thinking that he was a strong, smart leader. In fact, he has always shown himself to be weak, foolish, foolhardy, and both insecure and arrogant at the same time. Everything he's done has turned to crap.
Now Jack has a nuclear bomb.
If he was an average looking guy, everyone would have realized long ago that he's a putz that gets everyone around him killed.
Enjoy a Friday LinkSwarm.
Great looking shot!
Uh, Mark, I don't watch whatever show that is.
Lost, was too baroque in non interesting wats now alias held my attention throughout
Interesting.
Discrimination is okay because it wasn't harsh enough to wipe us off the planet forever.
Sounds as scared as Rh.
Or is it scarred?
I still say scared. I refuse to look it up. What if looking up "the" answer takes away from other answers equally valid the "looking up" eliminated?
I've gone from Gardner (C. the Senator not the Soros DA) losing by 15 to the yellow-toothed red-lipped Hick to Gardner merely losing by 5.
What is with this "I'm so intense you might confuse me for a meth or Adderoll addict!" vibe amongst most journolisters?
Uh Oh.
Sarah Cooper taking over for Jimmy Kim?
Anyone criticized Carrot Top $$#$## ^%^$ yourself now.
Gallagher is Mozart Comedy compared to this.
Okay more Trump...
Okay I see at 10:42 MST in her Trump a tiny bit of non-repulsion.
OH BEN STILLER BEN STILLER I GOTTA WATCH HE'S SO FUNNY SO FUNNY.
This is scary to me, and I could tell a story if I remember, it was a story at the Althouse blog that was scary in general but to me since I HAD MISREMEMBERED the details it brought home the horror of dementia.
So here we go: I watched O'Reilly (a guy on cable years ago) and he had on Ben Stiller and his gal pal Jeanine Garafalo.
They were all pretty* cordial, in fact there was little hatred even though disagreement.
*In hindsight they were all beautiful
Anyone who watched more than 30 seconds of The Larry Sanders Show could do way better. None of these "writers" have.
The Larry Sanders Show had gays* and blacks*! Even in the most racist and peculiarly oppressive society that has ever existed, L. F*^*^*^ A.
But look at what Judd is up to now.
Very interesting. I never had it, but I know I've lost a lot over the last few years.
Still sure though in a sane time the Crack's will say "damn that %$^$& can write" about me.
*And they made jokes about them as if they were actual people and junk
I think the shape on the water is a glassy patch of water that is simply reflecting the orange sky. The rest of the lake is slightly disturbed by light wind, and therefore does not reflect the sky as much.
Perhaps the donut is a projection map of lake depths. I'm not a limnologist, but I did SCUBA dive those lakes long ago and Wisconsin lakes have impressive depth-related thermoclines.
I'm not sure what the Internet crisis about the Wonder Woman cover is. It's a *variant* cover. That's when you get somebody, sometimes somebody quirky and not comics' associated to to do a "take" on a comic issue. Maybe you'll extract a few extra bucks from completeists and the artist's friends. Maybe not. But it's a common thing. The main cover, that will be on comic store racks and bookstore shelves (if either is open in your locale) will have an on-model rendition of Wonder Woman.
I mean, look, here's Red Sonja #17 main cover and here's Red Sonja #17 variant cover. What's the big deal?
Just watched 5 minutes of that O'Reilly knock-off on CBS.
They know. Trump has, and will, wiped the floor with them.
This was the gist: Every American, Republican or Democrat it doesn't matter, should be ALARMED that Trump has acted outside the Constitution and sent "shock troops" was the "hosts" terms, and Trump has expanded this and it is happening all over now but by Golly the media won't cover it.
Only that knockoff with his CBS late night show is covering it because.... We just don't know.
But Trump has sent "shocktroops" into Portland and taken away American citizens with bags over their heads into unmarked vans. Trump did this using "shocktroop" people without their name on a badge so that they can be identified and terrorized until eliminated.
They ended the segment with a joke about how funny the segment wasn't. That is funny after Letterman I think. Right? The more unfunny means the funnier?
Quick Demo of how masks (don't) help
Assuming one, presumably the primary, mode of SARS-CoV-2 transmission.
Can no one get through Biden's thick skull and deteriorating brain that "expodential" isn't a word?
WTF?!
I just want to shout out to RH and let him know:
Sometimes I'm the asshole.
I never really got what "apples to apples" meant but I bet you did.
And if you didn't, you figured it the &&^% out right away. Math.
Lots of different apple types. Lotsa math too.
I hate that SOB Pliny? ? ? no no Dillan. Yeah, J. Dillan.
This is a link text to text again but maybe different too?
The Trump of the wheels has seriously neutered educational indoctrination?
And people don't believe God has blessed America?
Mark - Great comments about Jack on LOST.
If you listen to the mainstream media you probably wouldn’t realize that today, an FBI agent who was a member of the Mueller team agreed to plead guilty for falsifying evidence that he submitted to a court. But we probably won't talk about that.

Durham now has more indictments directly stemming from the Russia collusion investigation than Mueller did (1).
And don't give me those process indictments of Manafort et al.
jersey.
Can carter Page sue Inga?
Mark - Great comments about Jack on LOST.
Meanwhile, Kate is like a puppy dog around him and ends up doing stupid stuff too. But she can show herself to have some skills when she gets away from him.

I go with a thermocline but since so many pictures have been taken without it showing up perhaps it is a themocline in motion. I've seen them in Lake Michigan, flowing colors, lines that are not always smoothly intergraded by depth.
