"... and one realizes how slippery it is, too. As defined by [author of 'White Fragility' Robin] DiAngelo, white fragility is irrefutable; any alternative perspective or counterargument is defeated by the concept itself. Either white people admit their inherent and unending racism and vow to work on their white fragility, in which case DiAngelo was correct in her assessment, or they resist such categorizations or question the interpretation of a particular incident, in which case they are only proving her point. Any dissent from 'White Fragility' is itself white fragility. From such circular logic do thought leaders and bestsellers arise. This book exists for white readers. 'I am white and am addressing a common white dynamic,' DiAngelo explains. 'I am mainly writing to a white audience; when I use the terms us and we, I am referring to the white collective.' It is always a collective, because DiAngelo regards individualism as an insidious ideology. 'White people do not exist outside the system of white supremacy,' DiAngelo writes, a system 'we either are unaware of or can never admit to ourselves.'... Progressive whites, those who consider themselves attuned to racial justice, are not exempt from DiAngelo’s analysis. If anything, they are more susceptible to it. 'I believe that white progressives cause the most daily damage to people of color,' she writes. '[T]o the degree that we think we have arrived, we will put our energy into making sure that others see us as having arrived...'... It is a bleak view, one in which all political and moral beliefs are reduced to posturing and hypocrisy...."

It's hard for white people to talk about racism because you can't talk about American blacks having an average IQ of 86.
So all those disparate outcome racism panics are crap.
White fragility is another can't-talk-about coverup for that fact.
You can't solve what you can't talk about.
Second rated comment:
“ The biggest risk for BLM right now is to not eat its own allies in its quest for greater purity. Guess what? We're all imperfect and flawed products of our environment, including the author and fellow activists. What's important is that we find common cause and common solutions. Relentlessly attempting to indoctrinate people and then calling them "fragile" if they so much as roll their eyes at you only narrows your cause and helps your adversaries who benefit from the status quo.”
I would have said: participating in destruction and looting. But, as a proud deplorable, I also agree with the above.

It never ceases to amaze that all those POCs try to get into this racist country when Zimbabwe, the model of BLM, is available.
Go Freudian. White fragility represents female genitals.
Because when we do, WE get called RACISTS. Immediately.
“Any dissent from 'White Fragility' is itself white fragility. From such circular logic do thought leaders and bestsellers arise.”
And the buyers of the book are guilt white liberals. Just like the Creighton Law prof who told me to read the book.
Black risibility vs white fragility.
"Either white people admit their inherent and unending racism and vow to work on their white fragility, in which case DiAngelo was correct in her assessment, or they resist such categorizations or question the interpretation of a particular incident, in which case they are only proving her point."
If I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't then you can be sure that I will not talk about it at all. Just going to go about my daily life and leave the Fragility guilt to these folks.
Of course, there is the whole Silence is Violence thing, but that seems to be waning.
Party of science.
The overwhelming strategy of the Left is to delegitimize and silence their opponents because they are unable to win rational debates with their ideas.
It's hard for white people to talk about racism because you can't talk about American blacks having an average IQ of 86.
Try discussing the fact that less than 5% of the population commits over 50% of all violent crime.
Democracy Dies in Darkness!
Fragility like fear of losing your and future prospects (kids losing admissions to college, Prof Jacobson at Cornell, PG&E driver losing job for cracking knuckles while driving because it looke like ok sign)? Why would that make people afraid?
The Bezos WaPo exists to provide aid, comfort, and entertainment to its core readership of white progressives. You slag white progressives, and this is what you get.
Oh, and this is rich coming from WP who just ran a 3000 to ruin the life of a woman for a poorly received 2018 Halloween costume.
It must be awful to be black nowadays.
Back in the 70s they all said they were black and proud, and white kids tried to dance like them, and white musicians tried to sound like them, and white people got their hair afro'd because it was cool.
But now they say we hate their hair, so they have to spend tons of money on extensions and shit, and don't like whites copying their styles.
I wonder what happened.
Or there is such a thing as pan-European tribalism, which is probably translatable as "white supremacy". Over here it is detectable as a "thing", in a place that has been pan-European, in the summer anyway, for many decades. And, mind you, my specific corner of Europe is quite a lot more self-consciously ethnic than most.
The Euros tend to work out their communication problems fairly well, mostly using an English or French basis for a pidgin.
Like most American manias this one is absurdly parochial. Sometimes they migrate in a misunderstood form as a sort of fashion.
All revolutions go after the week not the strong. It is after the power structure has waned and has started reforms and liberalization that the revolution seeks their glorious future. Contemplate what the Glorious future of this revolution is.
One could speak of Hutu fragility or Sinhala fragility or Han fragility I guess, but though it's the same human thing it would sound absurd in those cases. That anyone takes such notions seriously in the US is your own strange issue.
It's Kafkatrapping. Accuse someone of something, and use their denial as "proof" of their guilt. http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=2122
"One very notable pathology is a form of argument that, reduced to essence, runs like this: “Your refusal to acknowledge that you are guilty of {sin, racism, sexism, homophobia, oppression…} confirms that you are guilty of {sin, racism, sexism, homophobia, oppression…}.” I’ve been presented with enough instances of this recently that I’ve decided that it needs a name. I call this general style of argument “kafkatrapping”, and the above the Model A kafkatrap." -- Eric S. Raymond
White fragility = silly convoluted term for "white people are bad".
Systemic racism = silly convoluted term for "white people are bad".
How many people have figured out that these protests, riots and statue topplings are anti-white racism aimed at white people in general?
It's hard for white people to talk about race because white people are only allowed to spout meaningless platitudes about race, and apologize for the sins of other white people. A white person cannot offer an independent opinion about affirmative action, or the welfare state, or "diversity policies" on campus. The white person can only mouth the liberal line on these issues, or be accused of being a racist. I don't see how these facts will ever change. Except perhaps over time, the label "racism" loses its power, and causes nothing more than a shrug.
But now they say we hate their hair,
"Burning down shit ain't gonna help nothing. You're burning down shit we need in our community. Take that shit to the suburbs. Burn that shit down. We need our shit.
We need our weave. I don't wear it, but we need it." -- Sherelle Smith
White “fragility” is really white guilt when you peel all the layers back.
Guilt is debilitating and counterproductive for your own mental and emotional health, and an unbelievably bad basis for any decision, policy, or anything in between. For example, it got Obama elected.
Do not recommend.
I've seen this meme floating around and have absolutely refused to read anything about it including this post. It's just more dementia producing mind pollution that's why I wear my mask so I don't breathe it in from The ether.
This comment thread is ripe with the crimethink.
So many facts that cannot be uttered. So much that will be ruthlessly oppressed when they can read our minds before we open our mouths.
So many opportunities for re-education. So many job opportunities for moral warriors and revolutionaries.
No need to read the book, of course, because it will only bang on the same point for hundreds of pages. The great Awakening is being shoved down our throats from all sides. It is systemic this and systemic that and we had to wait for Floyd, the con, to descend to hell to find out about it. Biden was right. For the current black population Floyd is,more impactful than King. Fits the age.
If you want to see white fragility, watch some interracial porn.
Some of those black men are huge, and some of those white women are very, very tiny.
I am Laslo.
I was getting slammed by a white liberal woman yesterday because I refused to kneel down in SHAME. She told me I was showing my white Privilege. I don't know what privilege THAT is, because I grew up poor with a mother who worked 3 jobs. I worked from the time I was 13. I never took money from the government. EVER. Just because I refuse to become a Karen, doesn't mean I have privilege...any more than Barack Obama or Michele Obama had. This is all going to backfire on the left...and it is not going to be pretty. THEY are dividing everybody by color right now, because dividing us by gender didn't work.
"Any dissent from 'White Fragility' is itself white fragility."
"That to deny the existence of witches is contrary to the obvious sense of the Canon is shown by ecclesiastical law." And denying such means you're probably a fragile witch.
The only reason why it is hard for White people to talk about racism is that when we do, we are told "shut up you racist!".
But now they say we hate their hair, so they have to spend tons of money on extensions and shit, and don't like whites copying their styles.
Colored people spend billions of dollars every year all around the world trying to whiten their skin and straighten their hair. White people spend billions browning their skin and curling their hair.
You could tell a lot about where race relations are now if you could bring Thomas Jefferson here in a time machine and show him some interracial porn.
The first thing he would probably say is "My God! That black man is fucking a white woman!"
The second thing he would probably say is "How did those people behind the glass get so small?"
Because he never would have seen a computer screen or a cell phone before.
Or the recorded images of people.
There would be a lot for Jefferson to take in, in this year of 2020.
Maybe it would be best to start him off with a rerun of "I Spy', and gently explain that the black man is a rapist.
Then show him "The Jeffersons". I bet the really tall buildings in the credits would scare him.
I am Laslo.
Who reads books like White Fragility? Someone who needs to affirm their own racist thoughts? Or someone who needs to affirm that everyone *else* is racist?
"White fragility" is an odd term to see bandied about when its counterpart -- "Black fragility" -- is more prominent everywhere in elite discourse (often with Whites taking vicarious offense on behalf of hypothetical Blacks). The whole notion of microaggressions, for example, is basically an effort to make Black (or non-white) fragility normative and encourage people to become even more fragile, as fragile as they possibly can be. And yet people think they're being clever when they mock significantly more modest White fragility.
It's just more dementia producing mind pollution that's why I wear my mask so I don't breathe it in from The ether.
So, you wear your mask over your eyes?
I'm not really surprised.
But as records of courts of justice are admissible, it can easily be proved that powerful and malevolent magicians once existed and were a scourge to mankind. The evidence (including confession) upon which certain women were convicted of witchcraft and executed was without a flaw; it is still unimpeachable. The judges' decisions based on it were sound in logic and in law. Nothing in any existing court was ever more thoroughly proved than the charges of witchcraft and sorcery for which so many suffered death. If there were no witches, human testimony and human reason are alike destitute of value.
I would ask the author if she would write about the fragility of any other group.
Because if the author would not, then I call her thesis nothing but flowery racism.
Does anyone really pretend not to understand the very simple, smart, succinct reason whites have trouble talking about racism? I think we all know. It’s a rigged game: you lose by talking about it. Every time. Blacks own the fake moral high ground, they are supported by terrified white liberals, and they will crucify anyone who dares talk honestly about race. Witness the Rush Limbaugh/Charlemagne the God interview. Charlemagne had zero fear, Rush was quivering in it. It’s no win every time.
But get out of the troika trials (which is almost literally what Charlemagne had on Rush) and whites will talk to very close friend whites or even Hispanics about race, albeit tepidly and often in code. Last Friday night I had my Hispanic friend over for the evening and he told me, “My question is, so my grandfather did something to your grandfather. When does it end?” My takeaway from that conversation: Dems better worry hard about losing the brown vote in their fake love embrace of the black vote.
"ahem" - so fragile, your job can be removed for your family associations. Generations of Kims nod from hell. Just found this at the blogfather's site.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson reported the stepmother of the former Atlanta police officer charged with fatally shooting Rayshard Brooks last week has been fired from her job.
Carlson said a “source familiar with the matter” told his show that Melissa Rolfe, the stepmother of Garrett Rolfe, was let go from an Atlanta-based company called Equity Prime Mortgage, where she had been human resources director.
“Rolfe was promised that her job was safe, but today she was told, and we’re quoting, ‘We have to terminate our relationship with you.’ No other explanation was offered,” he said.
Carlson said, “apparently,” her “only crime was being officer Rolfe’s stepmother.” He noted that Rolfe has been scrubbed from the company’s website.

Substitute the word “Jewish” for “white” privilege to see where this thinking takes you.
I was in a FB discussion yesterday and called out a friend-of-a-friend on her trying to censor out joint friend. The woman immediately fell back to calling me a White Privileged Man, as if that invalidated my opinion. There is just no intellectual heft there.
How many people have figured out that these protests, riots and statue topplings are anti-white racism aimed at white people in general?
I think that's an overly simplistic way of looking at things. If you don't think the current mainstream culture has aspects that wall off certain types, then I question how well you are really looking at the Country. I think it appropriate that some sort of protest is necessary - it's not like the Democratic Party, that for years has run on fixing this problem, has actually done anything. Perhaps this will move things towards a more equitable culture. That's a hope at least.
Balfegor, 7:45:
"The whole notion of microaggressions, for example, is basically an effort to make Black (or non-white) fragility normative and encourage people to become even more fragile, as fragile as they possibly can be."
This is key, I think. Before seeing the article our host references, I was thinking of the fragility instilled in people that makes possible the 3000-word WaPo piece on an offensive 2018 Halloween costume.
Or of the tweet that I saw in an article on the now infamous Prof. Uhlig, where six years ago (or thereabouts) he told his class he was rescheduling a lecture for MLK day, then looked at his black student and said, "That doesn't offend you, does it?"
The student's tweet, as part of the Destroy Uhlig! effort, was greeted with actual hundreds of responses like, "Oh, you're so brave," and "Thank you for your courage in posting this," and of course, "Outrageous! He should be fired! He should never have been hired in the first place!"
And I'm thinking, Why not call him out at the time? It was a dickish thing to say - or if he actually meant well, it was an absurdly misguided thing to say. I don't blame the student for being pissed. Try "What do you mean by that?" or maybe, "Professor, I don't appreciate your singling me out like that."
Oh, but he shouldn't have to, that's putting more of a burden on him than on his white peers. Yeah, maybe that's my white privilege talking - or maybe I wish for him the confidence to speak up, and very probably have the support of his classmates plus a prompt apology. The mob doesn't want him to have that confidence, because then he might not need them.
"From such circular logic do thought leaders and bestsellers arise." And also, as I have heard, psychiatry.
Boy that whole “electing Obama so we could move past racism” thing worked out really great, didn’t it?
Accusations of fragility can lead to unrestrained apathy.
I dunno. I'm calling bullshit on this entire collectivist trapdoor. Given the illustrious history of collectivism, I tend to look at its proponents as, well...stupid and unaware that what they think is their 'Voila' intellectual moment is just something that many people have thought of and tried out previously with great success. If you count success as murdering millions of people and wiping out entire cultures. The same thinking that gave us slavery of black people is the thinking that 'all white people are (fill in the blank), or all black people think (fill in the blank). And for anyone to take the Throne and declare that if you utter a retort, you are showing your guilt...well...we need to stand up to that and call it for the bullshit that it is.
I believe in the rights of all individuals to live for their own sake, as long as they do not infringe on others rights to live for their own sake. This country was founded on the rights of the individuals, natural rights (or God-given rights). These are not rights proclaimed by your Government, or your professor, the New York Times, or the Democrat Party, or the Republican Party. These are rights that every individual is born with. Our Declaration of Independence declared this, and our Constitution laid it in the law, specifically limiting the Government's rights- not your rights as an individual. But...
We failed horribly on this lofty goal by not killing slavery at that very moment. They could not have passed the Declaration of Independence without removing the 'slavery clause'. They thought they had done all they could for their time and that it would have to be remedied by future, more gifted generations. We have struggled with it for all of these years and continue to do so. But we have to get back to our original noble goals of the rights of individuals. There are no collective rights if you do not have individual rights. That is the core. There is no freedom for anyone if there are no individual rights. As you can see by this 'white fragility' argument, their answer is to put remove chains on one group by putting them on another. If you bend knee to this...you deserve the chains you are putting around your own neck.
Black Lives Matter is a fine thing.
All Lives Matter is white fragility.
So I ask anybody to explain which lives of the "All" do not, in fact, matter.
Expose the contradictions and let the racists expose themselves.
The Leftist Collectivists don't experience shame because shame does not help toward power.
And power is their only pursuit.
But you whittle away their support by exposing them for what they are.
I stop caring when rational discourse is no longer encouraged, or even possible. BLM and other race hustlers are not rational. Soyboy libs and KIT (Karens in Training) are not rational. It's all emotion and fallacy with them.
For a group of people who receive hiring preference, firing deferrals, admissions preference, and endless media sympathy and boosterism to claim they are oppressed is simply irrational. It has no basis in reality but it's also the starting point of all their arguments. That's all you need to know.
As apt and appropriate as quotes from THE MALLEUS MALEFICARUM may be in this context, I'd point out that I have friends who (apparently) sincerely believe that they themselves are witches who are able to cast spells and charms. I personally believe they are delusional.
I haven't worked out the analogy completely, so I'll leave that as an exercise for better thinkers than me.
"Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism"
It's not hard at all. It's just that progs don't like what most white people say.
By "talk," they mean: we lecture, you submit.
Which does make it harder: most white people don't go for conversations as struggle sessions. Yet.

Unfortunately, he was the wrong person. He was filled with hate for whites, even calling his Grandmother who brought him up a typical white woman for saying the same exact thing Jesse Jackson once said. Anybody who actually believes he was going to unite us like never before was foolish. (and the ones who still believe are crazy!!)
Does anyone really pretend not to understand the very simple, smart, succinct reason whites have trouble talking about racism?
To wit:
Phil Robertson.
Same thing, different -ism:
James Damore.
WOW on the step Mother being fired.
That is so wrong.
I expect a lot more police resignations. Why risk your family being punished?
So the step-mother of the Atlanta cop who killed a criminal in self-defense. Fired. So we've come to this.
In fact libs relish in it.
usually, it's not 'race', but culture.
usually the beef isnt with someone's DNA, but behavior.
Culture is critiquable and can be suspect/ dysfunctional.
Self-defeating culture will leave you at odds within a functioning system.
Along the lines of "the facts of Life are conservative", so too,
in a sense, "the facts of Life are white western european".
Certain norms have been hammered out over the proverbial anvil of time,
and taking it personally as an affront and trying to create an alternate
system will reap chaos, and further set you back.
But, that said, you can burn the 'muthahfucker' (ie your neighborhood) down
and punch a 92 year old lady, if you feel it will provide a good foundation
for your improved society.
Blacks are apparently frangible. If you say anything, they go to pieces.
the forum to speak is strewn with lethal landmines
is this "fragility" just timidity/apprehension of not wanting to be blown to bits?
As apt and appropriate as quotes from THE MALLEUS MALEFICARUM
Churchy LaFemme's is from Ambrose Bierce's "Devil's Dictionary".
There's a virus in white brains. So why bother?
“Rolfe was promised that her job was safe, but today she was told, and we’re quoting, ‘We have to terminate our relationship with you.’ No other explanation was offered,” he said.
We humans haven't evolved much or become more enlightened over the eons, have we?
There must be a big market for white racial navel-gazing literature.
That's what Freud used to say. If your analyst told you what your problem was and you agreed, that showed he was correct. If you disagreed, that showed you were blocking because he had pointed out an unpleasant truth, and also showed he was correct.
It is equivalent bullbleep.
I agree with the author of White Fragility that progressives whites are the ones who damage minority interests more than anyone, and even with the reason why. That white progressives are the main audience for this message is a clue that this is a cultish theory, besides the fact that any attempt to falsify it can only affirm it. It's a strange religion that our anointed class and its aspirants have developed.
What I am coming to think on this matter - having seen, in village after village, some monument or marker or giant church for that matter, dedicated to some local fellow who ended up creating some massive change far away. And thinking, too, on all the more ordinary men who did all that but more collectively. So much influence from such tiny places, on their own significant only for growing sheep or potatoes, or catching sardines or codfish, or making hats.
My own ancestor from Bergara (Vergara in Spanish) was an heir to a farmstead, of which the farmhouse still exists on these green, green hills. But he was a difficult fellow, and was exiled for his troublemaking. On the other side of the world he instigated a private conquest, which led to a great tide of settlers, and which now, 170 years later, is the home of some five million Christians. One of those great changes in the world far, far away.
And he was not the most significant man from the tiny town of Bergara, far from it. The list is long, of founders of colonies, of cities, of some great permanent influence. And EVERY little place here has such a list.
That European conquest of the world, from 1492, should be considered an astonishing event, unprecedented to that point, and there is no sign, yet, of any such thing starting from anywhere else. And the reason it happened, the secret of it, is in these nobodies, ordinary men from some little village with no special magic under their tile roofs. Or, rather, these men were the magic.
There is no comparable region of China, say, of similar size and population, that has had anything like this impact on the world. Look into any similar corner of western Europe though, and you will find the same things.
Call that "white supremacy" if you will. It is what it is.
Years ago black people used to say, "it's a black thing, you wouldn't understand". While that was somewhat dismissive to non-blacks, it was more honest and accurate than the bullshit being peddled today.
The race-grievance peddlers make up terms like white privilege and white fragility and talk like the problem for black people is that white people need to be fixed. No one wants to talk about the black/minority inferiority complex. It's easier, and possibly more lucrative, to blame "whitey" than to turn in the victim card and work on your own mental state.
I blame the leftist leadership- both black and white. They want and need a victim class in order to remain relevant, so they mind-fuck young people. Rather than focus on the progress that's been made in this country in regards to racism they choose to hold back young minorities by telling them they will fail no matter how hard they try due to "systemic racism". The leftist leadership are vile pieces of shit.

That said, reject diversity including racism, sexism, etc. and discover your dignity. Don't indulge color (i.e. low information attributes) judgments. Don't judge people... persons as color blocs. No African-Americans, 1/2 Americans, just Americans. Oh, and we should probably tear down the Transgender Rainbow -- which should never be associated with human life -- flags, which exclude black, brown, and the shredded remains of white. The politically congruent ("="), PP, etc. or selective exclusion flags, too, which are residuals from a progressive era.
Part of the treatment is that you have to clearly display the fingers. You have to hold your hand up high, where the subject can clearly see that you are holding up four fingers. Then you insist that you are showing him five fingers, and you demand that he agree with you. He must assert that he sees five fingers while looking straight at four.
The likely response to constant accusations of white fragility is white strength, is it not? And you wonder what is prompting the white supremacists to come out of the woods?
I have come to the conclusion that the reasons Europeans aren't still out conquering this or that -
- Colonies eventually became or came to be understood as white elephants. Europeans long since arranged most of the world to get everything worth having more cheaply, without having to spend money on securing places from predation by other Europeans. Or restless natives.
- As European interests ended up controlling most of the world, as they still do, conquering anything means, mainly, stepping on some other Europeans toes.
- Life became vastly better at home, through the economic fallout of technology. It used to be common for down-and-out Basques to go off and be shepherds or sailors in some foreign land, as my grandfathers brothers were. They don't do that anymore.
If conquering something still paid out, these guys would be out there doing that.
'White fragility'? Lol Go call a black the n-word and see who's fragile.

The white guilt memos issued by my BigLaw management team are something to behold. If they only knew I was treating today as just another 3-day weekend!
Law firms are *obsessed* with hiring people with that white middle-class marker, a baccalaureate degree. For EVERYTHING - even entry level assistant jobs that just need a knack for detail and some experience organizing. Seattle is probably FULL of marginalized people of color with a few college classes under their belt, toiling away at a paper-slinging/information processing type jobs with a fraction of the pay and benefits. I'll believe they are all about helping marginalized people when they start looking at job candidates in terms of proven skills generic to any white collar office. AND - a few years ago they began to outsource mail delivery and other services to another party - that offers lower wages and benefits. They got rid of the well-paying 'mail room' jobs with stellar benefits.
There's a name for that pernicious form argument (your denial of guilt proves you are guilty) - Kafkatrap. http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=2122
Black fragility - why it is so hard for Blacks in America to talk about the root causes of the problems in their community. Problems that are caused by black people, such as crime, drugs, poor parenting, etc.
See how easy it is? But at least I can measure the above problems. Good luck getting a measurement for white fragility.
White fragility?
"That must be Italian."
The inconvenient truth for the race peddlers is that the problems for most blacks and minorities in this country is not their skin color, it's the fact that they're born poor. It's the same problems that poor whites have.
But the hate-mongering race peddlers don't want to have that conversation. God forbid poor whites and minorities figure out that they have more in common with each other than with the wealthy "elite' assholes who get richer by pushing racial grievance bullshit.
As the civil war continues to heat up ….
A lot of folks in flyover country have completely lost patience with this crap. We're nice people. We've given way too much in an effort to placate the crazies and all their hateful assaults on the USA and on us.
We're done. The SJWs can F off. There's no pleasing those assholes.
Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism" in The Washington Post.
Wait. I thought we crackers were supposed to shut up because we know nothing about racism. White privilege and all that. And then we stupid honkies are supposed to say something because silence is violence.
Or maybe some of us refuse to play by your asinine rules and wave you off with a single digit.
I will tend my garden.
Is ”I don't give a fuck" attitude fragile?
Perhaps this will move things towards a more equitable culture.
Or, diversity will progress, affirmative discrimination, too, confirm their concerns, and, with cause, harden their hearts.
when Zimbabwe, the model of BLM, is available
Yes, Baby Lives Matter. Also, South Africa, China, etc., where apartheid is a progressive condition.
I don’t know about White Fragility, but White-Chick Fragility is definitely a thing. Uptight, upper-middle-class white women believe the rest of the world should conform to their desires and expectations, and become extremely frustrated when it doesn’t. Race plays little role except in passing. It’s all about class entitlement.
And if you ever want to see the platonic ideal of an entitled and fragile white chick, dial up some video of Robin DiAngelo. It’s what I imagine the Salem Witch Trials must have sounded like.
It’s a conversation stopper.
A lot of these young white protestors are college-educated. The blacks they know personally - the only ones they know personally - are schoolmates: nice, smart, cool and articulate. But these blacks, from Brown or Columbia or UCLA, are nothing like the tough, intractable inner city blacks who square off with police and in whose defense these protests have formed. Richard Pryor knew the difference after performing at a state prison. 'Thank God these dudes are locked up.'
There is no comparable region of China, say, of similar size and population, that has had anything like this impact on the world. Look into any similar corner of western Europe though, and you will find the same things.
China had hundreds of years of civil war, then the Mongols conquered them. The Mongol supremacy only ended with the Boxers about 1895. Then more civil war, then Mao. They have only begun to look outside the past 50 years, if that.
Unfortunately, he was the wrong person. He was filled with hate for whites, even calling his Grandmother who brought him up a typical white woman for saying the same exact thing Jesse Jackson once said
We could even call it the "Kaepernick Syndrome." Raised by whites and then radicalized to hate them. Both had loving whites, parents for Kaepernick, grandparents for Obama. Both gave them everything. All for naught.
White fragility is such complete BS. There are more and more interracial marriages these days. Blacks are becoming middle class. Blacks are not the only minority any more. So many people have nonwhite neighbors and co-workers without incident. They are not all racists.
The inner city black young men have a cultural problem. They despise the things like school that will get them ahead. They glorify violence and are ready to fight or shoot at a moments notice. They are virtually unemployable because of their behavior and attitude.
Yeah, Honky don't play dat.
"Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism"
Why it's so hard for the Left to hear what a bunch of racist shits they are
Fixed it for them.
Hints:
1: If you divide people into "white people" and "black people" you are the racist
2: The entire political agenda of the Left is racism now, racism always.
Robin DiAngelo has elevated her book to be a holy text that can't be critiqued. So this makes her a cult leader and her book and seminars are indoctrination. She makes $$$ peddling this toxic ideology. It's based on intersectionality/ critical race theory going all the way back to cultural Marxism.
know the game. If they get you to play their game, you lose. If you remain yourself and hold fast to Christ, you win. keep your eyes on Chriat.
I don't have to listen to you, but you have to listen to me. This is not the path forward. Maybe these days it is only on an individual basis that we can keep the situation between people real when race is there confusing our words and understanding. In the past there were collective things to do - repeal segregation, pass voting rights. But now we're slowly coming face to face with each other.
I'm white and I have no problem talking about race:
Blacks commit violent crime far out of proportion to their size of their population
Blacks commit violent crime more than any other ethnic group
"Affirmative action" is a scam that destroys meritocracy and harms society
"Systemic racism" is a myth
"White privilege" is a myth
BLM's founding story (Hands up, don't shoot) is a lie
99% of the problems blacks face stem from their own social pathologies
See, I don't find it hard at all.
