That is so inappropriate! A Last Supper fruit bowl?! And I don't even know what a Compact Electric 26 Pound Daily Production is. I do know that if you click on a Wayfair ad, you'll be forced to give them your email address before you can advance to the product, so I'm never going to find out what a Compact Electric 26 Pound Daily Production is or how much I would have to pay for that complicated and insane fruit bowl. Wouldn't something other than fruit seem more apt? I don't know... Necco wafers?
And then I keep getting these ads for Hawaiian shirts:
What's up with that, New York Times? I see Hawaiian shirts and I don't know about you, but I think: Right-wing terrorists. Is some algorithm identifying me as a consumer of right-wing costumery?
If you don't know what I'm talking about here's "Men wearing Hawaiian shirts and carrying guns add a volatile new element to protests" (in today's Washington Post):
They’ve appeared, sometimes carrying assault rifles, at protests in Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Atlanta, Philadelphia and dozens of other cities, often wearing Hawaiian shirts — a seemingly goofy uniform that, within the ranks of their movement signals adherence to a violent, divisive, anti-government ideology....So why is the New York Times festooned with the distinctively patterned shirts when I go over there? It's making me uneasy. I don't know if a Compact Electric 26 Pound Daily Production would help.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Sunday tweeted an Associated Press photo showing two white men atop an overturned police car in Salt Lake City, both holding what appear to be assault rifles. Spray painted on the side of the car is “4 George,” an apparent reference to George Floyd, the unarmed African American whose killing at the hands of Minneapolis police last month sparked the recent unrest. One of the men standing on the vehicle in the photograph was wearing what appeared to be hunting garb. The other was wearing a Hawaiian shirt, as was a third man filming the activity....
Adherents of one particularly radical fringe group, which goes by Boogaloo Bois and several similar names, openly anticipate a civil war.... The Boogaloo were the first to don Hawaiian shirts as symbols of their extremist ideas. As social media companies cracked down on their posts for violating various policies, the supporters adopted new names and images to avoid detection, such as “Big Igloo,” “Boojahadeen” and “Big Luau.” The latter gave rise to wearing the distinctively patterned shirts....
And I need to say for the record that — with the exception of buttons worn in 1960 and 1988 — I have never clothed myself in any sort of overt political messaging and I've always worried that I might unintentionally wear something that had a meaning I did not know about. Imagine wearing a cheerful floral-patterned shirt and being thought of as a member of some awful group that has for some darkly humorous reason adopted shirts like that as their signal!
So you won't have to ask, the answer is Richard Nixon and Jesse Jackson.

What a bunch of horseshit! I like wearing Hawaiian shirts and I'm not trying to overthrow the government. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
The "Compact Electric 26 Pound Daily Production" is an ice maker. Duck-duck-goosed the phrase, the 26 pounds is how much ice it can make in a day.
I have a few Ryn Spooner (Sp?)Hawaiian shirts Favored by Honolulu bankers. Do these qualify in the mind of the idiot who wrote that?
Let this be the 25th of 37 moderated comments saying: "It's an ice maker".
Those Hawaiian shirt adds are everywhere. Is it flood the zone so that everyone will be an unwitting terrorist if they buy?
Did you post anything earlier that discussed the Hawaiian shirt being a symbol of membership in this group? That might be enough for the advertiser's algorithm.
It's an ice maker. I own one.
1988 - that was when Jesse Jackson was outed (by two black journalists) for describing New York as Hymietown.
Its an icemaker. Watched Mustie1 on youtube fix one for his parents.
I see Hawaiian shirts and I don't know about you, but I think: Right-wing terrorists. Is some algorithm identifying me as a consumer of right-wing costumery?
WHAT? So the official uniform of right-wing terrorists is Hawaiian shirts?
Associated Press photo showing two white men atop an overturned police car in Salt Lake City, both holding what appear to be assault rifles.
This seems to directly contradicts that statement. They were on a overturned police car at a protest for George so how could they be right-wing terrorists? I thought ALL right-wing terrorists were racist? If they ARE right-wing racist terrorists what were they doing celebrating at a George protest?
I need to know! I need a definitive answer! Do I keep or burn all my Hawaiian shirts? Do I get rid of the Hawaiian shirts but keep the Cubans? SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO!
Out here Trader Joe's employees wear Hawaiian shirts and shorts almost like uniforms. I guess that's going to have to change to maintain a clean corporate image.
the supporters adopted new names and images to avoid detection, such as “Big Igloo,” “Boojahadeen” and “Big Luau.”
"the supporters"--both of them. Who also sometimes pretned to be antifa activists. That's just for fun, too.
The tasteful Last Supper Fruit Bowl is $96.99 with free shipping. 4.4 out of 5 stars with 7 reviews. Perhaps it is available thru Amazon via your portal?
This has got to be some 4 chan joke, like Pepe the Frog, that got picked up by the media because it fits a desired narrative and stokes emotions like fear and anger which generate clicks.
You need evidence of White Supremacy such as giving the "OK" hand sign, don't you?
And I still think that "accelerationists" is terrible latinate coinage, obviated by the Greek-derived word "catalyst."
In real news

I can't see Althouse in a Hawaiian shirt.
It also makes me think of Office Space.
Calling an AR platform an assault weapon is no different from calling a black man a rapist.
No one really knows until the trigger is pulled.
THe New York Times is now like Pravada, serving up PRopoaganda instead of new. Hey, what about writing an article about ANTIFA? Who are they, who belongs to them, what have they be doing in the riots?
Instead, we get an absurd article about "Bugbboos" in Hawaiian shirts(!) carefully "Wrecking" and "Subverting" the Peaceful Protests. And i love the bit about "they were seen carrying High powered rifles" Oh really? Seen by WHO and WHERE? And gee, why didn't Antifa or the reporters at the scenes of the riots, see anyone with a HIGH POWERED RIFLE? That'd kinda stick out would it.
So, what's next? The NYT telling us that KKK members in klan outfits were marching with Antifa and no one said anything? Or "Wreckers" and "Counter Revolutionaries" have been making "secret" OK signs while looting stores?
Its the same old crap. 6 nut-ball racists just walk around and the MSM gives us round the clock coverage. 5,000 Antifa loot, burn, and destroy, and the MSM won't even name them. They'ze jus' "peaceful Protesters".
That is so inappropriate! A Last Supper fruit bowl?!
Now it's 38% less inappropriate: $96.99 [was]$156.99 38% Off
And I don't even know what a Compact Electric 26 Pound Daily Production is.
The Compact Electric 26 lb. Daily Production Portable Clear Ice Maker is $179.99, that's what it is. Also available in white. 4.6 out of 5 stars.
I do know that if you click on a Wayfair ad, you'll be forced to give them your email address before you can advance to the product,
Apparently not, since I didn't give them my email.
They must be those "Boogaloo" terrorists Inga has been looking for everywhere. I have a closet full of Hawaiian shirts and I have an AR 15 in the gun safe, so I guess I qualify. Too old to stand on top of a car, though. Just don't come up my street looking for trouble.
Disappointing. I've got a closet full of Hawaiian shirts, I love'em. They are great for concealed carry. I thought they made me look like some harmless old guy.
so I'm never going to find out what a Compact Electric 26 Pound Daily Production is
Au contraire!
"They’ve appeared, sometimes carrying assault rifles...."
Can we get a picture of those with enough detail to show the select fire switch?
According to the NYT/Wapo every Tea Party rally was full of Right-wing racists with Confederate flags and Nazi Swastikas. Same with every Trump rally and same with those people protesting the lockdown. OR the reporters claim they "Overhead" some anonymous person say "Nigger" or some racist word.
Meanwhile, every Left-wing group that riots, are just innocent lambs out for racial justice or against income inequality or against climate change. Nobody is extreme or violent and if "Violence breaks out" its a never solved mystery as how it happened and who did it.
The fruit bowl is kitsch. It is in poor taste and excessively garish (but so is most great art and cinema).
To the NYT and WaPo, everything smacks of right wing terrorism. Disregard it~!
In one of the strangest turns of American political history, the cast of Magnum P.I. has reunited to incite a storm race riots in major cities across the nation, hoping to overturn what they see as an oppressive and unjust social order.
More Left-wing Professors and well-paid leftists at the ADL and the SPLC are tracking and survailing outnumber any "White Supremacists" by about 2-1. And that includes all the FBI agents who've infiltrated their organizations. And funny how the Left-wing ACLU isn't much concerned about that.
Because someone looks a certain way, we are allowed to now make judgements about that person?
I prefer to think Putin is behind the violence. It makes more sense than what the NYT and WaPo write.
Hawaiian shirts -- especially on white males -- is definitely a sign of white privelige and should now be avoided in polite circuses. If you look back to the shirt's history you find that it represents the white appropriation of the state of Hawaii.
I read that the shirts signify “going to a luau to roast pigs”. The ideological horseshoe meets at the extremes where left and right both hate cops.
Very silly

What a load of horseshit. But Inga will believe it.
Imagine being a white nationalist wearing all black, and drawing a circle with an A in it, cuz everyone knows A stands for America and America is #1, to adorn your hat and shirt, and going out on the town to see what's up, and being mistaken for some crazy Antifa anarchist.
Something tells me the NYT is trying to blow smoke up our asses.
Sounds like the boys over on Reddit are coming up with their next Hate Badge Hoax, like the upside-down "OK" sign being purported as a White Power secret sign, much hilarity ensuing when it was parroted on the nightly news.
Bart Simpson and his call-in for airport announcements, in other words.
On a different subject, I'm thinking the MSM missed a major opportunity yesterday to go for the trifecta: Announcing that a fake Antifa site had been taken down because it was attributed to White Supremacists. And nobody came up with the idea of Russian White Supremacists troll farm generating a fake Antifa site. Opportunities missed sigh.
Come on, we all know there’s only two kinds of guys who wear Hawaiian shirts: gay guys and big fat party animals.
I've always worried that I might unintentionally wear something that had a meaning I did not know about.
At the community pool where I used to live in Brooklyn, they wouldn't let you in if you were wearing gang colors. I'm a middle-aged white guy bringing my 18-month-old daughter to splash around in the kiddie pool. Why should I have to know what the gang colors are?
“What's up with that, New York Times? I see Hawaiian shirts and I don't know about you, but I think: Right-wing terrorists. Is some algorithm identifying me as a consumer of right-wing costumery?”
Boogaloo on down to the Althouse comments sections! Also, that 26 pound thingy is probably a little portable washing machine for those Hawaiian shirts after they get all soiled with ash and spray paint.
I doubt any of the stuff about these so-called Hawaiian shirt wearing terrorists is true.
We can all see footage of Antifa and BLM folks looting and burning.
But we must look for the needle in the haystack to see what the Putin-Media want us to believe.
This is the thinking at the intelligence committee ay dios mio.
Occupy Wall street -> Bernie Bros.-> and Antifa are the new "white supremacists" then.
The media want you to think of them not as anarchists, or sociopaths, or leftists, or extreme progressiveists, or modern day communists who take "break-things/smash things" to absurd levels, - no no no - the media insist what you are really witnessing are all sekrit Trump supporters.
I see Hawaiian shirts and I don't know about you, but I think: Right-wing terrorists.
The terrorists who terrorized by standing in front of a camera from an unidentified TV station and unidentified reporter and saying the name of an unidentified slogan?
Was there a link to that terrorizing video? (the ad-blocker that lets me see the dishonest MSM sleazy propaganda website also blocks their dishonest propaganda videos) Teh google doesn't seem to know about it.
For me, Hawaiian shirts bring to mind a guy who wore them all the time and I'd tell him "That shirt is so loud I can hear it from all the way over here!" I'm pretty sure he wasn't a terrorist.
All those names plus Hawaiian shirts sounds like something devised by 4chan using the "how stupid can we make it and the press will still buy it" method.
(Sorry Ann, meant to say 4chan -not Reddit- in that post of mine - can you please change it and ignore this comment - thanks, Aggie)
So you won't have to ask, the answer is Richard Nixon and Jesse Jackson.
That latter one raises more questions than it answers.
I see Hawaiian shirts and I don't know about you, but I think: Right-wing terrorists.
That's completely reasonable, not paranoid at all. Meanwhile back in the realm of things that actually did happen a man was fired for saying he would defend his home.
Craig Timberg, Elizabeth Dwoskin and Souad Mekhennet just made all that shit up. They aren't even bothering to print other people's lies now, they just make it all up.
But let's unpack this one.
a) The "protests" are an unfortunate but necessary part of our Nation's becoming a better and more welcoming place, but
b) Right-wing terrorist in Hawaiian shirts are participating because
c) They hope to use them to start a Civil War.
OK. So, is that a good thing? Or a bad thing? Craig? Elizabeth? I know Souad won't have the answer, she's a vowel-o-American affirmative action hire.
In early May I was working in a plant in Puerto Rico. I got a guest password to access the internet.
Apparently it was a VPN through their corporate offices in Minnesota.
Ever since, 5-10 times a day, I have been getting ads for Granite Ridge Apartments.
Several years ago I stayed in a Hampton Inn in North Carolina way out in the boondocks. For 6 months I was getting ads to come back and stay again. If I were to go back I would stay there. Hamptons are my first choice and this was a perfectly fine hotel.
But my chances of going back to that particular Hampton are pretty slim.
There is an old adage about 50% of all advertising being wasted but you can't tell which 50%. On the Internet, I think pretty much all advertising is wasted.

Are the men rioting in Hawaiian shirts right-wing Mobys, left-wing double-Mobys, or are they just fucking with us?
seriously,
https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2020/06/democrats-war-david-horowitz/
Hawaiian and similar shirts are popular with concealed carriers. They are loose-fitting and worn untucked. The patterns also serve to break up the outline of the gun. Especially popular with beefier concealed carriers. Right-wingers are often caricatured as beefy concealed carriers.
Hawaiian shirts are not tucked into the pants.
Easier to conceal a handgun
“The largest groups have hundreds of thousands of followers.
Researchers have struggled since these movements emerged online last year to determine whether they represent a gonzo, self-consciously ironic exaggeration of long-standing far-right ideologies — perhaps confined to mere online bravado — or something more dangerous. Their appearance at recent protests, often with weapons, have convinced those who study radical online groups that there is growing potential for real-world violence, as well as a knack for using events to spread incendiary ideas.
“There’s a violent spear tip of people who take this way beyond a joke,” said Joel Finkelstein, director of the Network Contagion Research Institute, which tracks the spread of online hate and published a report on the far-right groups on Tuesday. “There’s a ready made audience for the violent actors to get out of hand.’’
Joan Donovan, Director of the Technology and Social Change Research Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media Politics and Public Policy, said Boogaloo group members had shown particular ability to insert themselves into events started by others, a tactic called “stream sniping.” Common in the world of Internet gaming, it refers to interrupting someone else’s live stream to bring attention to yourself and to provoke authorities to appear on the scene.
“It’s getting a bit more real. In that mix there are always people who are taking it very real and very seriously,” said Devin Burghart, president at the Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights, a group that tracks far-right movements. His group has tracked the presence of far-right militias and Boogaloo-related groups at 40 protests related to the Floyd killing across the United States.”
From the link.
Hawaiian shirts were always popular with undercover cops because the touristy print looks un-cop and the untucked style hides the weapon.
well they're back, like the kurtzman star trek product,

Deep State Data must have figured out you're White Supremest sending coded messages via blog
As Unknown already stated, those particular square tail Hawaiian shirts are everywhere, and via various vendors, not just the one shown in the screenshot.
Went to the Washington Post story and was immediately festooned with HA Shirt ads.
However, I prefer these to those stupid 3d dog-head tshirt ads I see constantly (I have have even clicked the little button asking them to stop showing me those ads, but it doesn't work).
1960?!? Well, I assume that as a pre-teen you were influenced by your parents. Mine voted for Nixon, too.
As for me I have over a dozen aloha shirts for use when I go to visit my home town. Costco Honolulu sells decent cotton ones for $20, though they certainly wouldn't pass for Reyn Spooner shirts that can cost over $100.
Kinda surprised Jesse Jackson doesn't have a tag.
Hawaii is overrun with right wingers!
Yes, the Left is going to sell this ridiculous lie about this all being right-wing instigation no matter how ridiculous it makes them look.
Great post. Hawaiian shirts clearly show an affinity to hard-core, alt-right violent wideboys and Buggaloo Boys.

Inga's morning koolaid kicked in.
Now everyone is a boogaloo!
Crammed under Inga's bed are not only Russians, but Boogaloos!
Booga booga, Inga!
I've always worried that I might unintentionally wear something that had a meaning I did not know about.
Althouse has crafted a pretty steep obstacle for herself, that is fearfully avoiding things that might carry an unknown meaning to unknown persons. Barring perfect knowledge one is bound to do exactly that. Always. For example: One mo' guilty-ass crackah bitch gonna keep me well-supplied with Eldorados and Eye-talian zoots.
"I see Hawaiian shirts and I don't know about you, but I think: Right-wing terrorists."
This will be bad news for the entire collection from Tommy Bahama. It'll also be concerning because...if you give it a look, you'll see that there are approximately 15 million people in Florida wearing what they call Hawaiian shirts.
Next thing we'll be reading that far right extremists have donned shtreimel, typically worn by Orthodox Jews, but in this case, a perfect hiding place for the far-right extremist.
Today's white supremacist not only sports a Hawaiian shirt, he wears a last supper fruit bowl on his head.

Their appearance at recent protests, often with weapons, have convinced those who study radical online groups that there is growing potential for real-world violence,
Let's compare:
BLM began with racial intimidation - it's earliest public demonstration was screaming in the faces of white and Asian students in a college library (Columbia or Dartmouth, I forget which).
BLM was openly racist telling whites to leave or march grouped at the rear.
BLM openly supported violence chanting "pigs in a blanket, fry'em like bacon" so often it was an underground anthem. This inspired several murders including the infamous 5 officers in Dallas but also Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos killed in NYC (among others).
Against this backdrop of racism and advocacy for violence we have some hysterical left wingers concerned about the "potential" to become violent. Our left wing nutters have sufficiently hyperventilated about it our normally sane host has internalized the hysteria.
This is how people are radicalized. Even people who try to control the propaganda input cannot always do so, which is why propagandists like Inga, ARM, etc post here.
Ha, so he admits they are showing up at the protests. Well, well, what they won’t do to bring about their desired civil war in their lifetimes, such dedication. Far right extremism co opting BLM for the final boogaloo.
Patrick Fairbairn, an administrator of several Boogaloo Facebook groups, said most people affiliated with the movement were showing up at at sites of unrest to protect protesters, and he offered praise for Black Lives Matter.
"If they haven’t been heard and they need to be heard, they’ve got to do it their way," said Fairbairn, who identified himself as a 23-year-old electrician. "The worst thing is to have this artificial separation between the people."
I never wore a Hawaiian shirt, but, then again, I'm not right-wing. The right is libertarian. The center is conservative.
I request that we commission a Delta Force team to capture one of these right wing guys so that we can examine him.
I understand that there are higher priorities such as capture a unicorn, Big Foot and the Loch Ness monster, but this is a pressing issue.
The largest groups have hundreds of thousands of followers.
Not just one group, but groups plural. And hundreds of thousands in each group. Boogaloos everywhere. Why, if boogaloos are just one percent of the population there are more than 30,000,000 of them sending out their hypnotic rays that force totally innocent college-educated intersectional feminists to set low-income housing projects alight and loot Target stores. (Note to self: Buy more aluminum foil.)
Inga, like a wise Latina, believes none of this. Boogaloos number 22.5 million. Tops. Depending on the breaks. And that hypnosis stuff? Trumpian disinformation. It's fluoride in the ice cream, sheeple!
My closet is filled with shirts much like those.
Some Cuban, some Hawaiian, some etc. Thats my look.
Is that right-wing somehow? Maybe it goes with slacks, sunglasses and topsiders. The enforcer look for the chamber of commerce? Bodyguards for El Presidente? Miami PD detectives in correct mufti, out squeezing the local scum?
It has never occurred to me before but I like the thought.
If I live in the US again, ever, I may finally get a pistol, something that goes well in a waistband, with one of those fancy concealment rigs, to complete my Walter Mitty vision of myself.
My wife calls it the Cuban taxi driver look, but I'll show her.
The "Compact Electric 26 Pound Daily Production" looks a lot like the little ice maker my daughter recently bought to keep on their family's houseboat. She loves it!
Thats the nice part, now I can pretend to be a right wing terrorist without changing a thing. At all. The cool and sinister now just attaches. I will certainly have to work harder than usual at swatting away all the women.
But the sunglasses, yes, those will be a bit of a change. Oh well, one must suffer, a bit, for beauty.
The Boogaloo were the first to don Hawaiian shirts as symbols of their extremist ideas.
Are we sure that they aren't just straight White guys who couldn't find any other way to get away with wearing Hawaiian shirts?
Is this like the shaven heads and Doc Martens boots that people of various incompatible fringe views adopted as a fashion statement? Or is it like Pepe the Frog, something that pranksters created and people started taking seriously?
*
Nixon/Jackson or Jackson/Nixon? If only they could have gotten together.
Ive been boycotting Wayfair since, 2018, when they pulled their advertising from Laura Ingraham's show because she made fun of David Hogg.
The most ancient, furthest right is Catholic, royalist, traditionalist, and feudal. The genuine right, in other words. That right that was right when Charlemagne was running things.
Thats what I try to be. In a Hawaiian shirt. And, maybe, a silenced automatic.
I can understand why Inga is terrified of men in Hawaiian shirts. After all, who would wear one in Wisconsin but an out of state terrorist ? Too fuckin cold.

Well silenced or not, automatics are rather hard to come by and expensive. You might want to settle for a silenced semi-automatic. Most of the same "hip look" but much less paperwork and cost...
Aloha shirts, in Hawaii, are absolutely tucked in, and belted, at the country club.
Necco wafers are supposed to be back in stores this summer.
I used to buy several bags at Walmart before Halloween and eat them all myself.
Like some one said up thread, this sounds like a prank by guys at 4-chan. Yes, we call ourselves the bugaboos and we wear Hawaiian shirts and give each other the "secret OK Sign". LOL!
The Leftists professors are so DESPERATE to find some "White Supremacists" they will fall for anything.
Aloha shirts in Honolulu can be very EXPENSIVE and they look it.
After all, who would wear one in Wisconsin but an out of state terrorist ? Too fuckin cold.
6/3/20, 11:28 AM
My Dem brother is a Wisconsinite and he likes wearing Hawaiian shirts in the summer.
I'll have to tell him he needs to toss out half his summer wardrobe or else avoid visiting Waukesha County when he's wearing one of his shirts. A crazy old leftist hag who lives there might spot a white male Clinton voter wearing a Tommy Bahama shirt and crap her pants, thinking she's looking at a scary far-right terrorist.
Remember, to this very day Inga remains a passionate believer in Trump/Russia collusion, Flynn and Page are Russian spies, Kavanaugh is a gang rape leader, Trump is laundering russian mob money, and about 50 more psycho conspiracy theories.
This brand new, out of the blue conspiracy with Breakin' 2-Electric Boogaloo is a tailor-made conspiracy for her and the other cannon fodder sheeple.
The latest remark on ace.mu.nu is:
Oooh, scary. Obviously, Hawaiian shirts are the preferred casual wear of neo-Nazis. Heinrich Himmler commissioned the design of the first Hawaiian shirts for use as camouflage when invading jungles filled with parrots and flamingos.
Patrick Fairbairn, an administrator of several Boogaloo Facebook groups,
"Patrick Fairbairn" "boogaloo" -"politico"
"It looks like there aren't any great matches for your search"
All the right wing terrorists causing problems at the riots and not a single shot fired. All cops busy containing parades while looters work unimpeded., nary a cop in sight. Kind of wasted opportunity, right?
"If they haven’t been heard and they need to be heard, they’ve got to do it their way," said Fairbairn, who identified himself as a 23-year-old electrician.
What a great idea. Minimum wage worker identifies as electrician, employer forced to pay him electrician wages ($50.00 +) or be accused of discrimination.
Winning!
And I don't even know what a Compact Electric 26 Pound Daily Production is.
It looks like it's either a toilet or a paper shredder. Maybe some kind of milking machine or food processor or compost maker or perhaps a sharpener for very large pencils.
But you know what they say: "Wayfair, you got just what I need." So whatever it is, rest assured: it's something that you need.
I had in mind "automatic" as the traditional term for a self-loading pistol, such as the Browning .32 of 1900, or the Walther PPK.
This is what I had in mind. There is a bit of conservative modesty in this -
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfsz3gxF3nE
No grandiose dreams of the wholesale slaughter of hordes of your enemies.
Have any of these RWNJ, Hawaiian-shirt wearing, white-supremacist Nazis been arrested?
No?
Go figure.
“Come on, we all know there’s only two kinds of guys who wear Hawaiian shirts: gay guys and big fat party animals.”
The two guys I know who wear them, do so to cover up their dietary indiscretions. Both could probably stand to lose Weight. One very functionally wears them over overalls. The other has more money than most of us here combined, but wears the Tommy Bahamas that his several sizes bigger best friend has cast off. He is also famous for sending his legal secretary down to DollarTree to buy his reading glasses, several dozen at a time. Neither is a Boogaloo Bois, and the latter, being a successful tort attorney, is by necessity, a Democrat.
I have several in my closet in PHX. But when I carry concealed, it is usually under a sport coat or vest (esp around here, vests that look like fishing attire, but aren’t, are popular for this purpose - I got mine cheap through coupons from Eddie Bauer). My partner doesn’t deal well with untucked shirts on my part. Not well at all.
Jim: "Have any of these RWNJ, Hawaiian-shirt wearing, white-supremacist Nazis been arrested?
No?

Oh, its even better than that.
2 of these supposed bad guys were seen wearing Hawaiian shirts......in Tampa Florida!
Gee, I don't know, can someone tell me if wearing Hawaiian shirts is a big thing in beach communities?
Next up for the Inga collusion truther crazies: Ban all Elvis beach movies!!
Endless Summer? It's gotta go.
Beach Boys? Sorry, time to burn the CD's.

No grandiose dreams of the wholesale slaughter of hordes of your enemies.

Awww, does that also mean no "lamentations of their women"?
“I can understand why Inga is terrified of men in Hawaiian shirts. After all, who would wear one in Wisconsin but an out of state terrorist ? Too fuckin cold.”
At least they aren’t in MN where this all began.
Had a bunch of Minnesotans in my fraternity in college in balmy Colorado. Amazingly, they all went back there afterwards. After that, several of us would get together yearly for ski trips, often back in CO, which has real mountains, and coincidentally, real ski areas. Never made much sense to me.
"I see Hawaiian shirts and I don't know about you, but I think: Right-wing terrorists."
You obviously haven't spent enough time in the Islands, which are even more one-party Dem than Cali or NY. As for the blather in the WaPo and NYT, it's no more persuasive than their usual BS. Did the worthies at WaPo and the NYT notice that all the rioters were also wearing pants, mostly black ones? Go ahead and ditch those too if their possible association with some otherwise undetected (undetectable) dog whistle really bothers you.
Ha, bearded men in Hawaiian shirts and tri corner hats replete with bullets. Updated article from 4/24/2020.
Report: Over 100 Militant Groups Have Been Promoting Second Civil War on Facebook [Updated]
“Boogaloo promoters have been attending anti-quarantine protests, events with ties to pro-gun activists. The report says that the Boojahideen have been hearing dog whistles from the president lately, greeting his “LIBERATE” tweets with cheers. “TTP found that some members of private boogaloo Facebook groups reacted to the president’s rhetoric with memes of celebration,” it reads, “and traded details of anti-quarantine protests in Richmond, Virginia, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.”
In total, these Facebook groups boast 72,686 members, although the report did not verify how many members overlap between groups. One merch page, the Thicc Boog Line, admins at least 11 other boogaloo groups.
The vast majority are private, TTP notes. One post screenshot grabbed by TTP crowdsources tips on homemade explosives. It begins:
Let’s talk grenades, flash bangs, and other things you can throw at the enemy. Let’s just say that you didn’t want to get the paperwork in order to possess certain things that go boom or can act as a room clearer/stunner.
Is there anything you can buy to make your own flash bangs?”
The white supremacists sound like a lot of fun. Luaus, Hawaiian shirts, tiki torches and everything is A-OK. Not like those angry, masked, blue haired freaks in Antifa.
I’ve seen a LOT of protest videos and riot footage and have not ever seen anyone in a Hawaiian shirt OR someone armed and open carrying other than police. Anyone like that would stick out like a sore thumb! This is among the most absurd and ridiculous “ reporting” ever.
Narrative collapse via Instapundit: https://tinyurl.com/y9tjsa8p
It's become beyond obvious that Inga will believe any and all stupid, moronic conspiracy theories if they go against on-the-ground reality.
Imagine going through life being duped by 4chan pranks.
“I’ve seen a LOT of protest videos and riot footage and have not ever seen anyone in a Hawaiian shirt OR someone armed and open carrying other than police. Anyone like that would stick out like a sore thumb!”
No kidding they’d stick out like a sore thumb. Joan, they are wearing mostly all black at the BLM protests. They know better than to show up in their Hawaiian shirts.
Hawaiian shirts? That's it? That's the marker of a systemic racist and Boogaloo advocate?
Was the person that shot and killed David Dorn wearing a Hawaiian shirt? Or are all these people just members of FB groups, advocating the violence that will come in response to the violence being committed now?
I always get a kick out of the ads I get when I have guests.
My husband was wearing a Hawaiian shirt today!!! I thought it was because the weather is incredibly hot. Now, I know the awful truth. He said he was going out to buy milk. I wonder if he'll come back with a semi-automatic. And the milk. We're running out.
I see Hawaiian shirts and I don't know about you, but I think: Right-wing terrorists.
And that’s okay, Althouse, as long as you don’t set angry when the word “gullible” gets applied to you. FWIW commentator “BD In Akron” posted the right answer at 9:53, followed shortly by “ngtrains” and “Wince.” Hawaiian shirts and Cuban guayaberas are worn untucked, so a man can carry a handgun in an inside-the-waistband holster without it being particularly visible (“printing” in shooter terminology). There are other techniques, including sport coats, hoodies or other loose sweat shirts, ankle holsters, cargo pants with modified pockets, and the like. Women have even more options, including thigh holsters under a skirt, a “flash bang” holster suspended From the center of her bra for a sufficiently busty (C or larger) woman, etc. I have even seen a YouTube video where a slender young woman had a special holster tucked into her bikini bottom and concealed under a beach wrap.
Also FWIW, police are trained to keep an eye on men wearing loose, untucked shirts, hoodies, jackets or sport coats when the temperature or or occasion doesn’t call for it.

“Can we get a picture of those with enough detail to show the select fire switch?”
Even a rifle with 3 marked positions for the selector switch can be semi-only.
Ask me how I know.
Those black skull-face and monster themed bandannas that the rioters wear have been advertised on my Facebook feed for several months. It makes me wonder who knew about these riots that far ahead.
No kidding they’d stick out like a sore thumb. Joan, they are wearing mostly all black at the BLM protests. They know better than to show up in their Hawaiian shirts.
Oh boy ! Be sure to look under your bed because they hide out there to be really, really secret.
The white supremacists sound like a lot of fun. Luaus, Hawaiian shirts, tiki torches and everything is A-OK.
It sounds like they never got over their childhood trips to Disney World's Adventureland.
Maybe they will get all the hate out of their system if we could just pool our money and buy them hippos to shoot.
I have several of these Aloha shirts. I love them. I've only heard compliments, but have gotten some unfriendly looks. But they're made of some horrible plastic fiber (rayon, dacryon, whatever) so they don't breath at all. With shipping, they're incredibly expensive or I'd probably have the whole set.
Is there anything you can buy to make your own flash bangs?
I don't know, but the Intertubes probably do. Napalm (styrofoam and gas) and thermite (rust and soda can shavings) are both easy. Presumably something with a bit of metallic sodium and magnesium in it would flash and bang nicely. I wonder if that's available via the Althouse Amazon portal...
Huh. I didn't think it would be. Metallic Sodium, in oil of course, and magnesium ribbon.
If advertisers didn't think you were a right-wing extremist before, they do now.
