I see every morning the best time for fishing, deserted waters, and wonder why there's not a single boat, kayak, or shore guy there ever. Why? Photo composition?

Interesting tidbit from WSJ article on Olaf Palme case: the investigation examined 23,000 leads and interviewed 10,000 suspects -- 134 of whom confessed!

Greg, the better fishing is in the nooks, crannies and weeds. The most interesting kayaking is also near shore. Due to perspective, nearer is least area. Also, Mendota is quite large. The far shore could be filled with unseeable boats.

We counted five fishing boats on the small 3-sq.mile pond before our swim @0700.
