Actual sunrise time, 5:43. This was the kind of sunrise that peaks 10 minutes before the "official" sunrise time.

Beautiful. And now a sunny morning. May is fine. (I'm conveniently forgetting yesterday's dreadful weather).

Yes, just don’t set out your tomato seedlings until June.

A photoshopped "Nessie" would do these sunrise photos a world of good. Or maybe some Madison street photography would be a good break to the landscape shots.

Stunning photos!

I was awake at about 2 a.m. this morning and the moonlight filled my bedroom. It occurred to me that somebody should take a picture. (Not me, of course!)

This has been a glorious spring in our region of the Midwest. The cool, dry weather has dealt a harsh blow to the mosquito's plan for world domination. Yard work has been a pleasure. The birds are abundant and active. The water in the trout streams is clear and hiking has been a joy.

Really think Ann should publish a book of these photos. Title: A Study in Sunrises, Madison, Wisconsin.

Coming soon to a coffee table near you.

The blog is the end in itself. It's not a stepping stone. No one cares about books. Books are a way to leverage yourself INTO social media. I'm already in social media as much as I want to be. This is in the moment. There are no relevant goals.
