Also, it's the same hairstyle I had in the early days of this blog, so if you were around then. It's how I've worn my hair most of my life. I just went back to it.

It’s probably because I first came to know you through Bloggingheads. So your image in those vids probably become my idea of your “default” look. I can only recall a handful of photos of you. The old one of you studying is among them.

IF all the non-essential jobs aren’t being done and so many of us are social distancing and people who are moving about are hand-washing and mask-wearing (at least until very recently), then riddle me this:

How is the virus making it’s way into facilities that are by their nature a socially distanced places?
How are old folks in convalescent hospitals catching the WuFlu?
How are the jails being infected?

A. “First responders” are NOT being as careful as we expect.
B. The virus is spreading by asymptomatic people.
C. The virus has previously spread through the general population unnoticed.
D. All of the above in whole or part.

What do you think? How are sparsely populated states doing well while their old folks homes and jails get infected?

We've considered moving to Colorado (or one of those other mountainous states), but the reality is that mountains loom and make big shadows. If you want to see sunrises and sunsets, the mountains are in the way (unless you live near the top!).

How are old folks in convalescent hospitals catching the WuFlu?

From visitors and from staff.

Most do not allow visitors anymore (sad). Cargivers at these places do not get paid much so they often work two jobs. The other job is usually in a clinic or another nursing home. I know the place where my friend is right now has stopped using workers who do this and requires workers to stay on site 24/7 for their weekly shift.

It's a contaminant transport problem Mike. I think most of the infection contacts outside of New York City subways is in the home. Prisons and old folks homes are just very large densely populated homes. Since the virus is transmitted by people who are not showing symptoms it's quite easy to see how a single vector can result in a Cascade of infections at what is essentially a wholesale facility.

Sebastian: so glad you have reporters asking real questions and then providing information about the specifics on Covid deaths in their state.
We have no one in Wisconsin so far that has done a deep dive in Wisconsin for those statistics.
There is some data about NY on PowerLine Blog.
Not providing those statistics allows government to scare the shit out of everyone (and man is it working)!
I am of the opinion we have turned into a country filled with sheeple.

One statistic I want to know is how many people that have tested positive had lupus or rheumatoid arthritis and were taking hydroxychloroquine?
We they protected from either getting the virus at all or if they did were their cases so mild they really weren’t sick or at the most admitted to a hospital?

I want more I formation on who is pushing remdesivir and their connection to Gilead and if they will make money off of those connections.

The inability of investigation by any media outlet except to find ways to bash Trump is awful.

I'm thinking of a hairband and I need something, I'm starting to look like a pair of wild eyes peering from a thicket. Then, suddenly, two hands up, push, hair sweeps aside, and a brief appearance by a human being. But not for long. Yet hairbands make me think of Hillary. (can the Althouse picture undo this?) And barrettes make me think of being ten. Once I had an "Indian war bonnet" with red and green feathers which went on by means of a headband. That, with an N-95 mask, would be sort of fun in the grocery store.

For anyone thinking about moving to the mountain west, especially you women out there who prize your soft beautiful luxurious skin, you need to buy eucerin in 5 gallon buckets. How else do you think bleachbit bimbo became such a dried up old prune;^). (I'm just kidding, you know I love you baby)

My wife has the same complaint about the TN hills. If it looks like a great sunset, we'll drive down (literally)to the Natchez Trace Bridge and watch the sun go down there. Spectacular view.

Try Leadville CO. "We are all here because we are not all there.", "Just because I slept with you last night does not mean you can ski with me today."

Leadville is on top but down at Copper Mountain the sun does not rise til 9am. So stay up high where God can see you.

High Colorado, at the source of the Arkansas, has the best wild flowers and the best rainbows that exist in the habitable world, and Canada.
