From the scriptural account of Jesus arriving in Jerusalem for the Passover feast. He was hailed by followers who strew palm fronds out in front of his donkey as he rode into town. (John 12; 12,13)
Within less than a week, they abandoned him when he was seized, tried and executed on the cross for our sin. But exactly a week after “Palm Sunday”, he rose from the dead and proved himself our savior and Lord.
Matthew 6:34 tells us “Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Ann: I've been drawing your landscape photos in an attempt to learn how to use dry pastels. It is a challenging medium if you are used to the precision of line via pen and ink, which is what I typically do. Dry pastels seem to lend themselves to abstract landscapes - thanks for the inspiration!
Delivery attempted - Front door / Driveway was not accessible That's code for package mistakenly wound up at a post office 50 miles away from the right one.
There's no box that can be marked for wrong post office.
AA, the quality of your photos have improved dramatically over the past several weeks. Framing, colour, light have been excellent while the subjects of your photos remain unchanged, as has your cell phone. Have you taken an online photography course?
ALP- I have some experience with pastels as well and intend to resume, hopefully this week. I’ve also felt inspired by Althouse’s photos! Thank you AA, these are wonderful.

Palm Sunday was the day the Twitter mob liked him. Just wait until Friday.
I love these diary sunrise shots from the big lake. As an amatuer photographer, I appreciate the effort you make. This one is a keeper!
Thanks a million Ann -- you are a national treasure, and your unique perspective is one I always want to hear, even when I disagree.
I hope you and Meade -- and your son -- weather this bio-storm in good health, with Midwestern stoicism and perseverance.
As a Minnesota boy, your missives from the prairie remind me of my roots; not too keen on the badger thing however, as a golden gopher. :-)
