Bless them.

As a parent this blurs my vision a bit. May God bless Valentina and the Duffy family this day.

May it all go well for that baby and the Duffy family.

Not everyone is going with more masculine names for their girls and gender neutral names for boys. Apparently this is a thing for people (i.e., creeps) who want to "make a statement" about changing gender roles for girls. These losers are "on" twenty-four seven. It isn't said enough, but this how we got stuck with Trump.

Anyways, Valentina is a sweet name for a baby girl and I hope she does well.

hope and prayer for this family. Heart issues are something the medical people have a pretty good handle on. almost become routine in many cases. Hoping that this is one of those cases.

We never had to go down that path. Godspeed Duffy family.

I seem to have gotten some dust in my eyes. All the best to the Duffy's, especially little Valentina.

One, is this random or are these people special? I don't know who Sean Duffy is.

Two, which should have been one, whoever they are, good luck and God bless that little shayna maidel and her family.

Is he still a Representative? (Looks) Nope. Good on him for not sticking around forever.

I hope the surgeons are skilled, and that the surgery is successful.

(Wikipedia).

The child with the heart condition is the youngest of 9.

Nine children. Think of it. And the youngest so needing of extra care.

Our daughter, who has Down syndrome with the accompanying heart issues, had her pulmonary valve replaced near the end of January. We too were nervous, but the medical team at UW was on top of things and she came through with great results. We are visiting family in CA but took the train out to be with her for the procedure and her recuperation.

On the ride out there was an elderly gentleman, a mechanical engineer, who had a hacking cough in the seat just in front of ours for the 42-hour train ride east. That upped the level of concern as we might have had to isolate from our daughter just at the time she needed us, but when her surgery a few days after our arrival came to pass, none of us had any ill effects for the two weeks we were there.

On the return trip (now about a week onto February), there was a 40-ish woman in the seat behind us who also had a bad cough. Made us think hard about using mass transit of any kind but once again we had no issues.

About a month before our trip to Madison we had a wet cough with nasal and minor chest congestion and I wonder if our antibodies were fortified enough to stave off the other (non-Covid-19) bugs that we encountered both ways. We were careful about washing hands and using sanitizer throughout our visit and the travel to and from, but in a train car and the coughs in proximity, it is amazing that we didn't catch whatever it was they had.

I should add that both of them took every smoke break that Amtrak offered along the way.

God bless them and keep little Valentina safe.

That must have been reassuring, except to the extent that you had to internally scold yourself for thinking, Good, maybe it's lung cancer.

Narr म्हणाले...

Yeah, I had to ask WTHI Sean Duffy? Now I know.

Narr
Good luck, kid

You don't care, don't want to hear it, and won't change, but duty of compassion requires me to inform you that if you can't stop thinking that way, at least you should avoid saying it.

Birkel म्हणाले...

What, pray tell, are we supposed to think about the nine children and which one of the nine needs extra care?

I think God bless them.
Is that not enough?

Prudent and bold. Fair winds and following seas for little Valentina, Duffy family, and medical staff.

Tomcc म्हणाले...

Best wishes for a successful surgery and rapid recovery!
By the way, is there a St. Valentina? It's not in my directory of Irish-Catholic names.

Never crossed my mind. Just wanted to make sure we didn't catch a new infection that might be shared with our daughter.
