Sunrise Althouse.
ADDED: The lighting there is adjusted to pull me out of the shadow. You can see the color of the sunrise as it really appeared in the iPhone screen I'm holding. Here's the picture I was taking:
AND: Here's Meade's photograph, adjusted to show the sunrise and leave me in the shadow:

Are you growing your hair out longer??
No, she got it from Phil for Christmas.
The Iphone prayer.
Is it wrong to for me to say I like the longer hair?
I'd like any hair.

Lovely photo! Your hair is longer and looks---grey? White? It looks a lot like mine.

Now that's funny!
I've been growing my hair out. Got tired of bangs, kept thinking I looked like Brian Jones just before he died, my longtime haircutter was retiring, and I wanted to be able to pin my hair up and wear a ponytail.
The color is the same as in the sidebar, but if I didn't color it, it would be white. I've consulted with my new hairdresser about maybe switching to white, but the current thinking is that the blonde darkening I have done from time to time is good for "warmth."
Glorious sunrise.
The NASDAQ is flirting with 9,000. Thank you DJT.

Wet?
Boxing Day Sunrise.
Blond is the new Grey.
Good for you! I did the same thing and being able to pull my hair back is such a blessing.
When it's hot I can get it off my neck and when it's windy, I can keep it out of my mouth and eyes. You'll be happier!
We need to see you pictured from the front before we know whether this new hairdo really works for you. Color is attractive.
I wouldn't go for the Edgar Winter look.
"Wet?"
Very funny.
I never saw him wet, however.
I'm thinking of the cover of "Between the Buttons."

On windy days here in the desert I pull my ponytail through a baseball cap. I started doing that years ago when I played golf and it became my signature casual look.
Our Ann is either growing her hair out, or this photo is a subtle tie-in to the earlier Phil Spector wigs on parade post.
Great start of the Sydney Hobart Race down south but yesterday was Boxing Day.
"Wet?"
That's gold Jerry, gold!
Got tired of bangs, kept thinking I looked like Brian Jones just before he died...
I'm sure your hair is lovely though maybe start thinking your hair looks like Edgar Winter? I can't find a good picture of his from the back...
You've got great hair!
Retail sales were up a healthy 4 percent. As a sentiment indicator that doesn't sound like good news for democrats.

You can transition by streaking your hair. I warn you that once it's all-white, people in general treat you very differently. They are super-excellent helpful in the matter of carrying luggage, lifting bags and getting rides. They make sure no one cheats you. Chores are no longer socially obligatory. But listening, except for a very small group of friends, is not done. Or, I should say, they listen on a curve - people your own age hear what you are actually saying but that falls away sharply, so that between, say, 65 and 13, comprehension flat-lines at 5 to 10 percent. And that is mainly when you are talking about the past. Then the curve begins to rise again - children laugh at your jokes and the under-eight crowd listens attentively and retentively to your explanations of the moon and the tide, owls, backhoes, rhyme, American history and so on.
What a man in a United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners t-shirt said to me today.
“That’s a crazy head of hair you’ve got.”
SExy minx!

This comes under the heading of High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography, and there are several approaches. High-end cameras like Nikon allow you to bracket several exposures and then put them together more or less seamlessly. A better result may require post-production skills using Photoshop, Lightbox or GIMP. This really is a lovely picture; the color of the sunrise and the texture of the water are just right. And possibly just a little dodging to lighten you up a bit would suffice, with no multiple exposures required...
