Meh....Governor Northam dresses in black face...Lt Governor Fairfax has been accused at least TWICE by Democratic women of Sexual assault, and the Attorney General Herring is also a blackface wearer. Democrats love their abusers...so who really cares that they elected one more hater??? They only care when it is Republicans who do the things Democrats can get away with. I hope she falls off her bike.

Democrats just love people who flip off Trump. Elizabeth Warren should flip him off at the first debate. She'd win.

Like Colorado some years ago, the Democrats flooded Virginia with money and took control of the legislature. Apparently much of this money is coming from "Green Billionaires" who have made fortunes from "green energy" subsidies. The last time I was in Virginia gas prices were well below those of Maryland, sort of like Arizona and California where we were a week ago. Gas in CA is almost 2 dollars a gallon more than in Arizona. Soon any difference between VA and MD, if any still exists, will be gone.

The climate scam has made a few people a lot of money. Proving that crime does pay if it fits the right (left) narrative,

Very disappointing election this year. I was hoping the backlash against the Dems would be starting by now.

But it is clear, the Dems have not been hijacked by the fringe. The fringe is the majority of the party. We'll see what happens next year in a high turnout election.

It's always surprised me that Virginia gas was the cheap gas. Thanx state legislature!
I'm SURE that's over now. Thanx state legislature!

Flipping off a motorcade: big deal.

Get a viral video of yourself shitting on the sidewalk in front of a Trump Hotel and you could be a Presidential candidate in 2024.

To hell with money. Democrats are flooding NOVA with people. A Republican loosing in Loudoun County is not exactly shocking news. I moved here from Wisconsin 31 years ago. It was easy to see that VA would get more purple and DC morphed into Capitol city from Hunger Games. What was more interesting is to see how liberal the Dems have become. When I first moved here, the Virginia Democrats were more conservative than the Wisconsin Republicans. Big move to the left since then.

I remember reading that 30-40 years ago 95% of northern Virginians were born in America and now it is more like 75% and we know how immigrants vote so Ted Kennedy 1965 Immmigration Reform Bill has paid off for the Dems. As Ann Coulter has said, the Dems did not like what they saw in American voters so they imported a whole different set of voters.

If you're Republican, why accept defeat graciously? Obstruct and try to undermine Democratic office holders.

Do what Democrats do. Refuse to accept the outcome of the election. Get in the face of Democratic Party candidates at restaurants and scream obscenities at them. Concoct phony conspiracy theories to undermine them. Employ lawfare to make it impossible for them to govern.

Give the bastards a taste of their own medicine.

THe Democrats flooded VA with immigrants - and I don't mean Yankees. The number of foreigners who work for the Federal Government and Federal contractors in Northern VA is very large. I remember going to Alexandria VA on business and walking around at least 50% of the people were non-black POC's.

The D's were crazy during Bush 43, but they've become insane over Trump. Flip off obama and you're a racist who doesn't respect the Presidency. Do it to Trump - and we'll elect you to office.

We lived in NOVA from 2013-2015 in Fairfax County. Our neighborhood was multi-ethnic - probably 50% were immigrants, with a large number non-English speaking. I was not impressed with the public school system, despite Fairfax County having the reputation as being one of the best in the country. I recall one of my boys, in 3rd grade at the time, having a to work on a group project with two other boys. The project required most of the work to be done outside of school hours. One of the boys working on the project with my son had parents that spoke no English. I tried to contact the parents of that boy by email, phone and text to set up a time when the boys could work together, and got no response. My son and the other boy did the entire project by themselves and the other kid, who did nothing, got the A grade as well. The teachers, most of whom are very liberal, coddle the immigrant children. Fairfax County is definitely a majority blue area. Many of my neighbors were federal government employees. Yesterday's election results do not surprise me at all.

I am not very proud of my state this morning. I grew up in Cook County, Illinois, and lived for many years in the deep blue Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC. The all-Democrat governments were both incompetent and thoroughly corrupt, and in fact Chicago has not been the “City that Works” for decades. Now $13M from outside the state will send us here in Virginia down the same path.

roesch has misspelled “Democrats,” and doesn’t know to capitalize “Constitution.” But the Constitution is not very important to the leftwing lunatic fringe, except in that they view it as an impediment to be kicked aside.

"Many of my neighbors were federal government employees"

That's what it is. The Federal government has grown and so has the number of Federal employees and those employees are moving into Northern Virginia suburbs, even as far out as Loudoun county, (forty miles out where I used to live); and becoming Virginia's majority What Virginia should do is return the part of DC which the Confederates took away in the Civil War to DC. That would benefit DC by increasing its wealth and tax base and in many other ways and Benefit Virginia by creating a better balance between Virginians and Federal employees who merely sleep in bedrooms suburbs in Virginia. But you'll find that these Federal employees absolutely do not want to be a real part of DC just as they do not want to be a real part of Virginia.

The big urban areas are now so dysfunctional and so indifferent to the rest of their state that I think the downstates (or upstates) in New York, Illinois, California should break away. A Green Revolution from counties on fire

Good for her. She isn't just protesting anymore, she's actually putting herself out there and willing to be part of the government. Again, good for her.

One thing, though: she may find that actually doing the grinding, thankless work of local government a lot less fun than flipping off motorcades...for one thing, you have to put up with protesters. (Also, as Spock pointed out in 'Amok Time': "After a time, you may find that 'having' is not so pleasing a thing after all as 'wanting.' It is not logical, but it is often true.")

Virginia lawmaker jailed for teen sex scandal wins state Senate seat

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) — A former Virginia lawmaker who made headlines after being accused of having sex with his teenage secretary has won a Senate seat.

Democrat Joe Morrissey won the senate seat for the 16th District in Tuesday night's election.

He faced off against Independent Waylin Ross and got more than 60 percent of the votes.
Morrissey was jailed four years ago after the sex scandal involving his secretary, who Morrissey later married. The couple now has three children.

He denied wrongdoing but entered an Alford plea to a misdemeanor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, acknowledging that prosecutors had enough evidence for a conviction.

Or "for f***ers." Your choice.

THe number of Federal Workers has stayed more or less the same for last 20 years. You old Boomers need to stop with the "Those damn Yankees are moving to VA" or those "lazy federal workers.." its immigration. Those lovely immigrants - sorry hardworking immigrants - you old boomers love so much. They're the ones changing VA. Plus, as its gotten more "diverse" more blacks from Maryland and DC have moved to VA.

And since Blacks vote 85-15 D, NO MATTER WHAT. you don't need a lot of them.

The guy who went to jail for sex with a minor won his race. He is now a senator elect in Virginia. He later married her. This sounds pretty much like what Roy Moore wanted to do but didn’t. And I bet Moore would have waited till after any wedding too.
