Frost warnings in eastern Arizona around Tombstone. Tombstone is 5,000 feet elevation.

Already?! The end of October is really late for the first frost in Madison. Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago first frost was generally in the first couple weeks of October.

Hog killing time has reached Wisconsin. That is the first time that it is frosty enough for a day of 8+ hours team work needed on the killed hog, which has to be finished with the pieces salted and put into the smoke house before for the end of that natural refrigeration.
Also it's bringing in the plants day for plant lovers who are not plant killers.
