Jonah Goldberg finally said something interesting on Bret Baier this PM when he pointed out how the media has failed to note how badly the Democrats did across the country under the Obama presidency, losing thousands of state and local officials and that these were mostly moderates, leaving the Party in the hands of the loony left.
I guess it makes sense; the more or less evenly divided districts is where the moderates would be most likely to wander off the reservation and vote Republican in their dismay over Obama and Washington.

I do not understand their blather about reducing the cost of drugs by allowing importation of drugs from Canada - or rather, according to the new czar of this, allowing drugs made here or elsewhere and labeled for Canada to be held here, or re-routed to here from where they are made, and sold here for Canadian prices. All of this to be strictly supervised, of course.
I think these people must have been tasting more than they should have of the more strictly controlled drugs passing through their hands.
As I understand it, "Big Pharma" really is not all that profitable as it is, so if drug prices are to come down and the firms to survive, the existing marketing practices must be broken up and new ones created so that the development costs will be shared across the world markets instead of as now, where we in the U.S. shoulder most all of the development costs and other countries just pay the marginal cost of larger production plus a profit margin.
It does not sound like even Trump has a stomach for forcing through such changes against the yelling and screaming this would cause the world over and universal condemnation in the UN, etc. and so forth.
Plus how much can one man do if even his own people won't back him?

As we get close to the end, Harris is too strident, and I don't think she has won, even though she has a lot of camera time. BIden has taken a lot of hits about why he didn't do more as vp and I think this means he has not won, even though he has a lot of camera time. Gov. Inslee looks like a retired football player with black-frame glasses, and he did answer a lot of questions well. (But will he be the nominee? No.) DeBlasio looks stupid and how can he continue. Yang looks smart, but I don't think anyone will take him seriously because his central welfare for all program is too weird. Castro didn't do well enough to get over the top (maybe he could win the nomination of the "rent is too damn high" party). Gillibrand might as well have stayed home (written before her final plea about her "white privilege" basis. Booker looked strong with his direct exchanges with BIden. Perhaps Booker is a winner.
