I produced many such hilarious public service videos in my career as a corporate multimedia artist.
What the hell! It paid well!
My late wife, a Filipina, was in great demand for corporate public service videos because of her dark skin. We did quite a few pioneering sexual harassment and Diversity videos in which she cried a lot.
The actors, including my wife, laughed their asses off between takes.
The actress (Diane Morgan) is in the Ricky Gervais Netflix series "After Life," which I recommend. She's the religious office-mate. I've also been enjoying her in episodes of the Ricky Gervais "Deadly Sirius" radio show (which I listen to on the SiriusXM app, which you can get if you have the car satellite radio subscription).
I thought it was serious the 1st minute. I thought it was bonkers the 2nd. By the 3rd I was wondering if she was Ali G in drag. Especially when talking to the scientist she even had his cadence and sound.
I can never tell whether this stuff is serious or not. Remember the video of people who were not 100% all in getting blown up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAkfEX0sqAI ? Or the polar bears falling from the sky https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxis7Y1ikIQ ? Those were serious and even more ridiculous than this.
Anyway, I was relieved to find out that this was comedy not seriousness.
Well done, Diana. Gonna have to look for more of her stuff.
And for a palate cleanser here is Ali G pitching an ice cream glove to Donald Trump who was not in on the gag but sat and listened politely to his nonsense for far longer than most would. https://youtu.be/PDu9CvbrnlM?t=121
Dynasoar gas. That was better than SNL. One joke after another that sounds like the Standard Climate Hoax Fake News. My favorite was the Arctic is melting raising the sea level.
FTR a 90+F Summer day is good for you. Things grow. The HVAC handles any discomfort, summer nights are perfect. And they want us to fear that?
It's not satire. It's playing the explainers trying to be polite with the interviewer, against her woman-think. Revealing, as it were, how far they'd go to humor a woman.
Colbert used to do the same thing, only setting interviewees against right-wing think. The right enjoyed the problems with politeness for the interviewee, the left liked the idiocy of the right. The right was looking at the situation more deeply, but they both liked it.
She has done a series "Cunk on Britain" that does the same brainless treatment of English history. My kids and I laughed through all the episodes a couple of years back. I believe that she captures perfectly the BBC documentary tone and cadence that we've listened to for so many years.
"And for a palate cleanser here is Ali G pitching an ice cream glove to Donald Trump who was not in on the gag but sat and listened politely to his nonsense for far longer than most would."
No, he didn't. He got up and walked away much faster than other Ali G victims.
What Morgan is doing is similar to Ali G, but I believe the interviewee knows what's happening and is playing along. Morgan isn't trying to destroy the person the way Ali G is. I think it's clear that Morgan IS concerned about climate change. She's just playing the role of an idiot because it's funny.

Thanks! I listen to Sirius all the time in my car and I'm in my car a whole lot.

This. If the gang of four weren't racists they would add a pale-skinned copper-top and then I would have to listen to them like they were human beings.
Titania McGrath, you've had a good run, but she's a redhead, and she's on video, so you'll really have to up your game.

The madness continues, you could even say it's getting hotter.
She is pretty hot!

Dirty Dinosaur Gas. DDG's. How do we reduce DDG's to save the planet?
With a name like Cunk she's got to be good!™
Great series. Baffle men who explain things to women.
It was satire, DBQ!
"Dirty dinosaur gas"
I'll say.
That's funny! I'll have to look for more of her stuff.
"So many dinosaurs were burned for steam trains that nowadays there's almost no dinosaurs left."
"If we keep discussing climate change at such an alarming rate, scientists predic the world stock of weather footage will be exhausted by 2050."
“Will we be, like, ow! all the time?”
The squad’s press conference as a recent example.

At around 33 seconds she says "19 centuries ago" and then says "coals is burning dinosaurs."
She should immigrate and run for Congress. She'd be the leader of "The Squad" immediately.
A lot of people are making good livings from this stuff. Probably will take an ice age to stop it. A few more years of zero sunspots might do it.
Time has existed since before time began.
"The government says we need to cut greenhouse emissions by 20%, but if you don't have a greenhouse..."
Beautiful! This is how it's done.
Attack attack attack! Stop playing a Prevent Defense.
Cheeky
The really funny part is how much she sounds like your average greenie.
It's satire but some of the real scientists are just as just as ridiculous.

That was great! It's interesting that she's worked with Ricky Gervais. Their humor and delivery are similar. I like them both.

She goes into computers and the Turing shroud in another episode.
3:15 inspires a fun circular argument.
1) I'm not concerned about Climate Change because I'm not having children it might affect
2) If you're concerned about Climate Change, why are you having kids to add to it?
3) Choose not to have kids, like me, and Climate Change becomes irrelevant. 😜
Problem solved!
If you were genuinely worried about Climate Change, you wouldn't have children. Hehe
i am officially in luvy luv luv with Philomena
That was better than SNL.
Yup, and a good example of how PCBS has killed late night comedy.
Like Sorkin, SNL is a artist that only paints with half the color spectrum.

Cunk on Britain covers the history of dick pictures.

She explains how Darwin invented evolution when he saw an apple fall from a tree and wondered if a monkey was up there.

Wonderful spoof of Brian Cox's style.
She’s hot, but I am not sure she’s too hot. Pretty hot though, enough to make a lot of the men around her say things like “Dayum!"
I noticed the BBC logo in the upper left corner. It makes me think this is for real.
I have a huge crush on Ms. Morgan.
Aside from the "19 centuries ago" gaff, if we're running out of that dinosaur fuel, isn't the problem solving itself?
Also thought the shot of her walking in a winter jacket and gloves funny.
Thank you, Ann.
I've forwarded this to my sons to explain my views on the current global climate crisis.
I don't want to say "ow!" all the time.
.
Great discovery.
"Aside from the "19 centuries ago" gaff"
I had to start it over when I heard that early on...."Say what???"
I feel stupid this morning.
