How about a poll re folks who prefer this sorta photo v the garden pics?

Saw this on Instapundit:

"I call on President Trump to oppose storming Area 51. No, I'm not worried about national security. I just want to see twenty-odd Democratic presidential candidates Naruto running across the Nevada desert."

If you don't get the reference, Naruto running has the characters leaning forward, with arms thrown back. It comes from Japanese animated films.

And, re polls, how about one re should Althouse stop ignoring Rapinoe?

Has she gotta become the mayor of Seattle to get a post? She's definitely hintin' about somethin' political re the home of the other UW.

Or, a poll re the benefit of that hair style re a pull handle (not to actually pull) from the back, but also a nice (not too much) swish-over-the-eyes from the gal on top?

I don't mean the purple hair gal, I'm just bein' purple re that other post.

I vote for: "The whole world should continue to ignore Rapinoe.".

I see that the Dems are livid that Donald Trump claimed to have been down at the site of the World Trade Center.

Except we have video proof that he certainly was

No posts yet on John Radcliffe’s nomination for DNI. He must have won Trump over with his unfair questioning of mueller. Or maybe it was the “secret society” within the FBI he uncovered. Or the fact that he lied about his experiences prosecuting terrorists.

A thing I liked about the debate was the way Marianne told them off for losing the election over a year before it happened. As it will. The electorate was fidgeting like a room full of third-graders just before the recess bell.

Thank you Big M,

I was missing Inga.

Nice to know there's still someone here to provide links that prove the opposite of what they intend.

DJT says re talking to his guys, his guys are seeing lots of bodies, and his guys have pulled out five folks.

Not to mention that showing up for a photo op, and lying two days after is way worse than lying nowadays.

DJT = POS, per BIG M.

"I want to sell...."

But where else will you find neighbors w/ rare Clumbers?

Andrew said...

I was disappointed during the Democrat debate that no one confronted Bernie. "You say this country should pay a living wage, but you don't even pay one to your own employees, you fraud, you hypocrite! Why don't you sell one of your three houses and pay your workers before getting all high and mighty on us, you ancient clown!" That would be the end of Bernie.

Scott Adams made a good point on his Periscope today. If Kamala Harris wants to win, all she has to do is attack Biden on his age. "It's time to step aside and let a new generation have a chance. If I were in my 70's, I would not want anyone to vote for me. This is too important." That would be the end of Biden.

It will be interesting to see how long Trump holds his fire before destroying the survivor.

FTR,

One of my places is two blocks from a gay couple that have a Clumber.

I once asked one of the dudes if the 'b' in Clumber is silent, or not. He was blown away that I knew the breed of his dog.

Never say ya can't learn useful info here.

IMHO.

"The Thing on Buttigieg's Face" should be the subject of the next Althouse poll. Was it the mark of Cain? Did its disappearance by the end of the debate signify divine forgiveness, the excorisim of some dark force? Or merely a Nixonian coverup?

Estates in Norfolk (county), England, go for about BP 40,000 an acre.
Which is quite a lot for rural land, but this is for hunting, near the royal estate at Sandringham. Which I believe has a pack of your clumbers, as proper gun-dogs.
You may need a minimum of 50 acres or so. Plus a more or less stately home.

There are a fair number of such properties for sale. You are talking of a minimum BP 3-4 million to be properly set up, and you will have to employ people.

I believe a new bespoke Purdey 12-bore for use on a proper English hunting estate suitable to Clumber Spaniels will run around Bp 100,000.

Now, used Purdeys can be much cheaper, but they would not fit you, quite, and it would show.

Buw,

Many years ago, I tried taking a so-called Australian Labradoodle to a very high-level gun-dog training school. They said NO to not pure dogs (e.g. pure lab) for their training.

Anywho, a few of my friend who hunt have insanely obedient dogs. If they told their dogs to stay in a down position as a truck ran over them, the dog would not quiver at all. This was sorta tested on a narrow logging road where my friend put his dog (that was on the edge of the road) in a down-stay (from 125 feet) while a hauling-ass unloaded tractor trailer combo blew by. Passed w/in twelve inches of the dog.

Anywho, I don't hunt. And was only interested in the training cause it makes a non-annoying dog. Ended up w/ five different normal dog schools before two and a half years old. That was almost seven years ago. Still insanely not-annoying dog. [BTW, would definitely pass the test re logging truck running over it.]

Its an honor simply to be nominated. I just finished watching the debate about 30 minutes ago. Of course, the Drudge poll is probably still a bit flooded with rightwing voters, so I think Williamson's lead is kind of false, but she probably did as well as anyone on that stage did. The only other online poll I saw had Sanders the winner at about 40% and Buttuvwxyz at about 20%, everyone else sucking fumes. None of these people can beat Trump- none of them. I guess we shall wait for Wednesday night debate.

Yancey Ward said...

One thing that didn't happen that I thought had to happen was this- Warren and Sanders needed to work to drive the other out of the race- they occupy lane both ideologically and geographically, but basically ignored each other. What actually happened is that someone quite a bit more moderate than both and a better fit both geographically and ideologically with New Hampshire upstaged both of them. Delaney has no shot at the nomination, but he will suck the air out of Warren and Sanders in New Hampshire.

Yancey Ward said...

I mean, if you are from New Hampshire and want to vote for a solid New Englander, you won't want either Warren or Harris, but Delaney would be a good choice.

stevew said...

The Democrats don't understand that with this many candidates they are playing a game of Survivor. Their opponent(s) is each other, not Trump, at this point, and they need to focus on getting the strongest one voted off. Biden, Warren, Sanders, & Harris are the targets. Get to work!
