That’s why the fight is over.
It's cramped in here; let me stretch my legs.
Oh my. I am soooo glad I'm a boy!
I hadn't realized I once looked like an alien.
I don't know if MRIs can harm a fetus. Those are usually done with ultrasound. That looks like an ultrasound.
My middle daughter was super active on the ultrasound done on my wife. I kicked myself for the next 38 years that I did not have the radiologist save the tape for me. She has an ultrasound of her own baby now. Due next month.
Abortion law will wind up as about cuteness, as to cutoff time.
Just a clump of cells.
I don't know if MRIs can harm a fetus. Those are usually done with ultrasound. That looks like an ultrasound.
Yeah that's the first thing I wondered -- is it safe to do an MRI in pregnancy? There's no radiation, so maybe it is. I doubt they'd do an MRI unless there was a health issue that necessitated it. They'd do ultrasound if they could.
It's an amazing picture, for sure. Hope there was no health issue and it was an ultrasound.
Watching my belly sometimes looked like that scene in Alien. It's been 30 years but I can still see it sharp and clear in my mind's eye.
Babies are often very active in the womb.
. . . not a person.
MRIs are safe. It is magnetic. Only the ones with gadolinium enhancement can cause vision issues in unborn babies.
I'm amazed no one has asked - how many weeks along is that?
MRIs are safe. It is magnetic.
Changing magnetic is electrical.
"Watching my belly sometimes looked like that scene in Alien."
Exactly what I thought too.
That video is amazing. The baby has no idea where it is and how it's affecting another person. Think of having that in you, stretching and completely behaving with no regard for you. Obviously, the baby is innocent, but it's quite an imposition!
"I'm amazed no one has asked - how many weeks along is that?"
In the comments thread over there, somebody says 20, but I don't know how they know and maybe it's a guess.
As Confucius is said to have said, life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.
When the baby is doing that leg stretch thing, I bet that’s when you feel like you have a bowling ball under your ribs.
I’d guess that baby is about 30 weeks along.
Rendering,
Keep telling yourself that. I know you're just trying to stir the pot, but your comment is as best sad, and at worst cynically sick.
That is beautiful. It's a boy, right?
Readering not rendering, but what an appropriate autocorrect.
The article was at parents.com. It is an MRI-enabled image, and the baby is 20 weeks, according to the author.
"...the technology uses algorithms, magnetic fields, and radio waves to create the super-high quality pictures. In this case, images were taken at 20 weeks. In the video footage from the scan, you see the baby moving around all over the place; it's kind of trippy! You can even see the developing fetus holding the umbilical cord, and the tiny heart beating...

I am just old enough to remember when magnetic resonance imaging was new, and I was invited to attend a conference at the University of Michigan Medical Center for OB’s. The pretext was that we were lawyers who defended birth trauma litigation and we had clients and defense experts on staff there. Somebody put up a slide of an MRI of a fetus, and the audience of experienced obstetricians (most of whom had ‘seen it all’ in years of practice but never a fetal MRI, audibly gasped. Almost 40 years later, I’ve still never witnessed a reaction like that at a medical or legal seminar.
Clump of cells indeed...
All sorts of illegal immigrants, and horrible criminals, and homeless mentally ill people must be treated with great respect, but these humans who are most at risk, least able to care for themselves, and totally innocent (even in the case of rape and incest), well they can be “terminated” because of “reproductive health”...
Bull
Shit
Inga,
My son was 11 pounds a birth. I'm 5'2" and 130 pounds soaking wet. The last month felt like I had en entire bowling alley under my rib cage!
LOL
"Baby." Inga, I'll hold you to that if ever you justify post 30 week abortion.

Yeah, that looks pretty uncomfortable. I say stick some stainless surgical pliers in there, twist it to pieces and rip it out in chunks. Little fucker.
As early as week 18
"Think of having that in you, stretching and completely behaving with no regard for you"
This is how the universe feels as we develop in our consciousness. In our gestatation of being we impact and are impacted, oblivious to the awareness of our mother reality in waiting patiently for our becoming.
I'm working on my candidacy.
Inconvenient clump of cells.
Liberals/Democrats believe it can be gotten rid of a split second before it sees the light.
Grotesque and horrible people.
“My son was 11 pounds a birth. I'm 5'2" and 130 pounds soaking wet. The last month felt like I had en entire bowling alley under my rib cage!”
Whoa, poor you! I had a 10 pounder, 22” long , I’m 5’6”, but I’m short waisted and long legged. My 10 pounder compressed my vena cava and I had nasty chest pain, she was delivered 2 weeks later. Nowadays I suspect she would’ve been taken right away via cesarean.
Mom, I'm bored. Are we there yet?
Saw that on Twitter yesterday and had the link in my queue for the next cafe post--really an amazing series of images.
Michael K said... She has an ultrasound of her own baby now. Due next month.
Congratulations!
That's a video that's gonna kick off a democrat party member rage-a-thon. Even worse than when Trump slammed the CNN logo.
“That's a video that's gonna kick off a democrat party member rage-a-thon.”
Wrong. You think Democrats don’t have children?
20 weeks... that's in the range where there is a right to have an abortion, and it really does seem to be too late.
But it may convince some people that the right to have an abortion — done at a much earlier stage — is important, because this is a very extreme thing to have happen to your body, and it really should be something that you do willingly.
We are like new arrivals to this plane of existence. Our body or proto-body arrives first, followed by our consciounsess around week 5.
You still might not recognize your baby yet. At this stage, he or she looks like a tiny collection of tubes. But those tubes have important purposes! One tube is forming a brain and spinal cord. Another is developing into baby's heart. Tiny buds on either side of the body will grow into arms and legs. As your baby keeps growing, you might feel the first twinges of pregnancy symptoms, such as sore breasts, morning sickness, and the constant urge to urinate.
Our early evolution in all it weird details. Thanks for staying the course, mom, dad.
"You think Democrats don’t have children?"
According to them they don't. They are burdened with a fetus and then they are punished with a child. They won't have it!
Those same democrats will tell you that the images you saw there are not a child, nor are they a baby. And for many of them the fact that someone might call it a baby, or worsethink yet believe it to be a baby does seem to send them into a rage.
Women, and men, should not be treated like children incapable of understanding the reproductive process or insufficiently mature to accept responsibility for their choices. Abortion rites are a wicked solution. Pro-Choice is two choices too late.
Not a person, not a separate entity, not alive.
Right.
Well, that explains the stretch marks. I miss that feeling of then kicking and rolling around.
"You think Democrats don’t have children?"
Were National Socialists, Maoists, Aztecs dodo dynasties?
“According to them they don't. They are burdened with a fetus and then they are punished with a child. They won't have it!”
Apparently you know no real live everyday Democrats. Mischaracterizing liberals and Democrats will only make you appear like you’ve drunk too much Sean Hannity cool aid. I’d suggest getting out in the big wide country and talking to real Democrats.
Hey Swede, in lotsa states there's at least 18 weeks to decide the coin toss. My lib friends wouldn't go see Gosnell The Movie, but staunchly "defended" the "right" to kill babies. That beast cut spinal cords of live wriggling babies. Mengele not available for comment.
“....because this is a very extreme thing to have happen to your body, and it really should be something that you do willingly.”
Yes indeed. Being pregnant isn’t a walk in the park. Serious things happen to a pregnant woman’s body and after the baby is born the impact on her life is huge. It’s better for mother and child if the mother is on board to make the necessary sacrifices.
But it may convince some people that the right to have an abortion — done at a much earlier stage — is important, because this is a very extreme thing to have happen to your body, and it really should be something that you do willingly.
Safe, legal, rare, and early.
My lib friends wouldn't go see Gosnell The Movie, but staunchly "defended" the "right" to kill babies.
Selective and recycle-child are easier to tolerate if the baby is relabeled under a technical term of art. I wonder if a physician would dare refer to a baby as a "fetus" in the presence of an expectant mother and father.
That said, abortion rites are a wicked solution.
Doesn't this violate Twitter's terms of service?
"It’s better for mother and child if the mother is on board to make the necessary sacrifices."
How is the abortion option better for the child? Besides, isn't it a fetus? Why do you alt-righters try to pretend a clump of cells is a "child?"
The kid in the video should be about 2 years old now.
You're a good egg, Professor.
"

My guess is the original comment is on the "professional" Democrats who get all the air time on the MSM. They do seem to see abortion as some kind of religious sacrament and any limits on it will invite the wrath of some secular god. That's why the party will not tolerate pro-life politicians.
“How is the abortion option better for the child?”
Abortion at 12 weeks compared to murder at 4 years old. Compare. Do you have less concern for the child already born into a situation in which the mother hates her baby and neglects or abuses it?
‘Bortions!
The heart and lungs, the mainspring and the center wheel...
alive 'n kickin' !
just an inanimate lump of flesh; i mean, it's not like it's Alive, let alone Human
It's exactly the same as getting your appendix removed. An inanimate lump of flesh
Nothing to see here people; move along!
And don't forget Trans-women deserve abortion access too!
That video is amazing. The baby has no idea where it is and how it's affecting another person. Think of having that in you, stretching and completely behaving with no regard for you. Obviously, the baby is innocent, but it's quite an imposition!
That is the last thing I thought of when I looked at that video.
"Amazing! What an imposition!"

Althouse, you are beneath contempt.
Yes indeed. Being pregnant isn’t a walk in the park. Serious things happen to a pregnant woman’s body and after the baby is born the impact on her life is huge. It’s better for mother and child if the mother is on board to make the necessary sacrifices.
In many ways, I agree. But my response to seeing that video is certainly not "Well *that* looks like something that should be killed if it's being inconvenient."
Just a clump of cells...
An abortion at 20 weeks seems moderate for what a lot of Democrats and Leftists seem to be pushing for today. At least the ones who are driving these insane laws in New York and Virginia.
Cordoning off the right to kill to a “woman and her doctor” ignores a whole range of realities — including consideration fathers, who represent 50% of the biological equation. Just because a woman carries a child to term over 9 months ought not afford her absolute supremacy for such a serious decision.
The State has a primary civilizing role in protecting life, and in a constitutionally-limited federal republic like our own, We the People vote, and thus are the State by representative extension. At the 50-State and local level, too. This is clearly a federalism issue. This is NOT something for a plurality of nine unelected superlawyers to decide (much less create), and should not be under the authority of bureaucrats in any way, manner or form. Yet this is NOT where we are today.
Punctuating this, the idea that the Hyde Amendment is in play is grotesque, and reflects the cavalier F-U of the modern Democrat Party toward those that disagree with their bizarre absolutist views on killing, which is what it is.
If it’s just a “procedure,” it certainly has powerful, lasting consequences on a host of levels. For a Democrat Party that likes to tell us how “complex” everything is, this reality seems to elude them.
MayBee @6:05PM is dialed-in to EXACTLY what I’m talking about here.
Thanks for posting this, Professor.
I'd like to compliment whoever edited the video to match the soundtrack so perfectly. The song choice was excellent, too.
Amazing detai in that video! Really cool.
“In many ways, I agree. But my response to seeing that video is certainly not "Well *that* looks like something that should be killed if it's being inconvenient."”
Nor was it mine and and I think it wasn’t Althouse’s either, but I’ll let her speak for herself. I suspect a woman’s decision to have an abortion is far more complicated that deciding on whether its inconvenient or not. That’s a huge oversimplification.
"Abortion at 12 weeks compared to murder at 4 years old. Compare.
Okay, let's compare. At four years the child will have had four more years of life than he would have if he had been aborted at 12 weeks. But even if the mother hates the child it is not necessarily condemned to a horrible life - she may grow to love it or it may be offered for adoption or the father or grandparents may take it and raise it or it may be taken by the state. If aborted at 12 weeks it is certainly condemned to a violent and horrible death, unless of course you consider the vacuuming the fetus from the mother's womb and tearing it limb form limb in the process to be better than just the potential for child abuse. I know that's a possibility as I have heard your expressions of logic before, but that doesn't mean it isn't barbaric, only that it's legal.
Now, answer my questions. You're the one that called it a child, I called it a clump of cells. Which is it? An inconvenient clump of cells or a child? Should the two be treated differently?
Pssst, it's murder. Whether at the initial moment, or at any moment between then and birth.
It's a forgivable sin, but you (which include mother, father, abortionist) must acknowledge what was done and ask for repentance. And you know Who you must ask for that forgiveness.
I suspect a woman’s decision to have an abortion is far more complicated that deciding on whether its inconvenient or not. That’s a huge oversimplification.
For some. Not for others. Let's not pretend we don't both know women who have had abortions for all kinds of reasons.
But as a response to this video: "wow, that reminds me what an imposition pregnancy is" just makes me sad. Especially since by the time you feel movements like this it's way beyond time to abort.
Pretty powerful stuff. Wonder what Judge Harry Blackmun would say if he watched it, in say, 1972.

"Think of having that... with no regard for you"
Around 120 million aborted babies have an inkling of that.
Inga...Allie Oop @6:16 PM:
Check yourself. Because it really is about the inconvenience. That’s the whole smash. My assertion is that we should set limits. Today’s Democrat Party sets no limits, and has run Pro-Life people out of their party. It’s over. Done. Name one other Democrat constituency that is deferred to more than the abortionist wing. And it is an ism. Abortionists think the right to abortion is the end-all, be-all of womanhood. It’s feminism run to its misanthropic conclusion. It’s a disgrace, really. That which makes woman — the ability to give life — must be under her unilateral purview. Because she bares a disproportionate burden? That ignores the reality of what man must provide. Mere birds teach us this.
I was horrified that women were dragged out of the fields to have abortions in China. I am also uncomfortable with women being told they have to take a baby to term. But the choice is easy if I have to choose between the two extremes. I also think reasonable people can agree that this picture/video is compelling, and should inform the limits. Gov. Northam’s desire to “comfort” a post-birth baby destined for execution is absolutely unacceptable to 90%+ of most Americans. It is plainly dehumanizing and grotesque. I don’t give a hoot that Northam is a doctor. In fact, I believe it may be more indicative of the medical profession becoming callous to such considerations. I find his view disgusting, and it tells me he didn’t get the Hippocratic Oath. His political position advocates harm to humanity.
If the “woman’s right to choose” comes right after a baby is born, we are in irreversible decline as a people. I don’t give a rat’s ass what a woman’s attitude is toward her child once he or she is born. In fact, based on my understanding, per perspective is even less credible. He or she is born! How that is a difficult standard is beyond my comprehension.
" I suspect a woman’s decision to have an abortion is far more complicated that deciding on whether its inconvenient or not. That’s a huge oversimplification."
Not really. There was a study done, quickly shelved and never repeated. The majority of reasons given for abortion ranged from
1) might have to postpone college
2) wont be able to find a date as a single mom
3) don't want to swtich my Carrie Bradshaw shoe budget over to diapers
4) will mess up my bikini body
5) I still wanna party
Strangely absent was:
6) my Mother will carve out my skull with scissors
Just showed the video to my lovely bride. She said it reminded her of the movements of her son in her womb when the worship music started at her church.
"Amazing! What an imposition!"
She has a son. Maybe she doesn't know that came about?
does a mother 'own' a baby?
Inga @6:17 PM:
I get that it’s “complicated.” Everything in life is complicated.
My point is that its not THAT complicated. It’s not an M.C Escher drawing or an insolvable koan or a mousetrap-that-must-be-perfected.
It’s a human life. At 20 weeks. Right there. At what point do YOU say that item/being should be expendable?
Let’s take the under/over, as grotesque as I find the corrollary... what do you think of a 20-week limit (which is effectively 5 months) as a limit?
Enough theory, I’d like a straight answer to what I’ve laid out here. Please.
Inga@5:19PM U think Democrat party members are fighting very hard to normalize infanticide, to conduct post-birth abortions. This is what Democrat party members passionately fight for, to legally and guiltlessly kill that little baby stretching and standing inside his mother.
Are you going to tell me that Governor Coonman didn't sign a bill into law that legalizes post-birth abortion.
https://www.timesrepublican.com/opinion/columnists/2019/02/how-is-abortion-after-birth-not-news/
That's the democrat party position. Kill babies.
Is this an example of settled science? Asking for a friend.
No, there is a large minority whose motto is: In Stork They Trust, which from a scientific perspective is, at best, a conflation of logical domains, and, at worst, a twilight faith.
That said, losing their Pro-Choice quasi-religion.
"I suspect a woman’s decision to have an abortion is far more complicated that deciding on whether its inconvenient or not."
I suspect the more videos such as these are produced, it further complicates the issue, much to the chagrin of Planned Parenthood.
PS: My daughter is an ultrasound tech. It would be wise never bring up the abortion issue in her presence. Just a suggestion.
I never had the slightest idea that a baby had arms and stuff that moved.
Casey Anthony should run for democrat party president. She's got the CV: toxic Caucasian female, zero common sense, zero impulse control, kills babies
Trump has shown much more love for the child in that picture than poor selfish Marianne Williamson can ever imagine feeling.
On this issue, you want to be on Trump's side, not on the side of the violent and uncaring and cold-hearted.
The famously liberal Europeans set term limits for holding abortion rites to the 12 weeks, right? Baby steps. Their American counterparts are far more liberal and progressing.
20 weeks... that's in the range where there is a right to have an abortion, and it really does seem to be too late.
It was my experience watching a 16 week ultrasound as a medical student that solidified my pro-life views, not my Christian faith.
I remember watching the U/S, listening to the mom speak of her baby and think but tomorrow she could change her mind and dispose of her baby.
Wow
On this issue, you want to be on Trump's side, not on the side of the violent and uncaring and cold-hearted.
It does seem that the Republicans, lead by Trump, may repeat history, and remedy a gross miscarriage of science and progressive human and civil rights violations. Women are not stupid, immature, or ethical. Men are not stupid, immature, or ethical. We are capable of better judgment, moderation, and responsibility. We can and should do better than the Wicked Solution.
Always feeling like I needed to pee makes a lot more sense now.
I suspect a woman’s decision to have an abortion is far more complicated that deciding on whether its inconvenient or not.
Why? It's just a clump of cells right? A Parasite, a tumor if you will.
I want to you Ann, for posting this video.
I want to you Ann, for posting this video.
I think the missing word is "thank" you, and I second it.
Week 11
Your baby has become very active, though you probably can't feel any flutters just yet. Baby still only measures just 2 inches long from the top of the head to the rump — about the size of a prune. Most of that is the head, which makes up about half of your baby's entire body! In a few weeks, baby's head and body will become more proportional. Also happening this week — your baby is growing fingernails and irises — the part of the eye that controls how much light enters.
More human than human.
Wow I had no idea babies moved that much and that dramatically in the womb. I guess in my mind's eye I always imagined them kind of slowly floating in the ether perhaps every so often gently moving their head or maybe even gracefully extending a finger.
He is saying "stop tickling my protons with your damn magnets and broadcasting them with radio waves! Give me some damn privacy!"
Seriously, what you're seeing there besides the marvel of early human life is state-of-the-art MRI technique. That machine descends from the observations of a Dutchman, Pieter Zeeman, who discovered what magnets do to spectra. He hit on what Faraday thought magnets did to people but couldn't quite put his finger on. Zeeman medalled in Physics in 1902 (the second Prize given). Of course that was just the theoretical beginning. The most direct descendant was the work of Isador Rabi in 1938 (another Nobel Prize). Then Bloch and Purcell gave it to modern chemistry. Other Nobels followed for discoveries and applications in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine. I've lost count.
Buwaya should note that Varian and Associates (Palo Alto) help make Si-Valley great before chip guys did. Raise your hand if you ever ran a V-60.
(raises hand)
"I think the missing word is "thank" you, and I second it."
The missing word was, in fact, thank (you to AA).
This is why AA is my go to political blog.
Remember, lefties view babies being born as a lost opportunity to realize baby parts revenue.
MF: "Are you going to tell me that Governor Coonman didn't sign a bill into law that legalizes post-birth abortion."
You are barking up the wrong tree.
To this day Inga does not believe those democrat bills exist. She calls the claim those bills do exist "propaganda".
Literally.
For comparison sake, Inga also called the 100 Million humans slaughtered by the commies/socialists in the 20th century "propaganda".

I'd hold that damnation for the real PP types, especially the ghoulish techs and the brokers -- the ones caught on film doing and talking about it.
The real sin of most women is a sin of omission: their indifference towards or denial of that reality.
Inga is no doubt correct that many democrats believe as she does about abortion.
Not one of them was on the debate stage this week.
chickelit: "I'd hold that damnation for the real PP types, especially the ghoulish techs and the brokers -- the ones caught on film doing and talking about it."
Actually, Inga in particular called those tapes deceptively edited and...(wait for it, wait for it)...."propaganda".
And so did all the other "moderate" dems.
Sorry, its radicals all the way down.

Don't be so sure. Attitudes like this are why --
The baby has no idea where it is and how it's affecting another person. Think of having that in you, stretching and completely behaving with no regard for you. Obviously, the baby is innocent, but it's quite an imposition!
See for yourself the suffering of a child held in a cage.
Democrat party members are a toxic fetus inside the American Experiment, stretching and behaving with no regard for us. Think of what an imposition they are, and completely, utterly, absolutely guilty. The only humane response is to stab them through the skull and tear their bodies into little chunks. It's for the children.
Heard over at Chip's [Lem's Levity]: "I used to be a man trapped in a woman's body. But then I was born."
The CIA guys have a new infrared laser that IDs humans from 100 yards off by listening to their heartbeats. No two are alike.
I think humans know that about a child en ventra sa mere. They know it is a unique person they are denying a life to so the woman can not be bothered to be human. Murdering the next generation is evil per se.

my cousin's first kid will forever be known as "Thumper" for her constant action all through the pregnancy. Grew up wanting to be a brain surgeon, but got pregnant early on, so became a Most Awesome Pharmacist instead. Thumper will soon be a grandma herself.
Kick on, kids!
Democrats are NOT the party of science.
This issue, more than any other, reminds me that Althouse is completely blind when it comes to the most basic matter of life itself. Feminism is truly the god of her life; it trumps even life itself. As much as I admire her for so many things, I cannot respect her for her blindness to the right of a person to exist. Saying this is not a person is the utmost in blindness.
Some people want to convince other people that killing some people is not only moral, but virtuous.
These are the same people that want to kill you....eventually.
Abortion is popular because the murder is unseen. More than what the Concentration camps, gulags, killing fields could ever hope for.
Same people. Evil. Killers.

honestly I loved being pregnant. Wasn't bothered by the movements at all. At one point I told my husband I would be happy for the pregnancy to last several more months (we were still getting nursery ready) and he responded, "well, eventually you'd explode...".
(speaking as a borderline preemie that sported a tooth at birth)
She does not know that Americans go to other countries to adopt because left wing/racist social, workers block most adoptions here.
My Aunt and Uncle never had biological children of their own, and in their early 40's they decided to adopt. They ended up having to go to Romania to adopt my two cousins, because they were continually turned down from adopting children from America because they were too old according to the agencies.
Perfect being enemy of the good, Dweller
"Inga has never heard of adoption."
Oh, yes, she has. She attacks women who give their children up for adoption. It's much better to chop kids up and dump them in the trash bin.
Well, when they threaten to make things happen to your body, unwillingly..
I gave birth five times and I loved everything about every pregnancy. Well, except for the vulvar varicosities. Yikes!
Regarding intrusion, etc~why is it a huge deal for a woman to carry a child for nine months if she’s not willing, but it’s totally ok for a man to pay child support for 18 years when he’s not willing.
I used to drink Tab soda all the time when I was young. I had to give it up when I was preggers because 1 swig and the kid would start doing the Mexican hat dance in there.

I know enough about how many times Inga's "suspicions" are utterly deranged to allow her suspicion in this matter to hold any weight compared to the real reasons I've seen for women getting abortions in my lifetime. And I've never seen it amount to much more than "it would be inconvenient right now".
why is it a huge deal for a woman to carry a child for nine months if she’s not willing
That's following two choices. One, to FUCT or not to FUCT, that is the choice. Two, to prevent conception using different methods. Perhaps prevention in layers. And, if conception does occur... Well, woman up #SheKnew #HeresBaby Same for the man. In the words of the Professor: don't be a splooge stooge.
That said, perhaps the problem is education. We should replace sexual education with human biology, and perhaps a class in morality. I'm sure the boys and girls can figure out what billions of other people... persons have without instruction.

It was my experience watching a 16 week ultrasound as a medical student that solidified my pro-life views, not my Christian faith.
It was the embryology course for me. I came to see life as a continuum of development. It seemed wrong to arbitrarily select a point along that continuum to define a human life.
...and it really should be something that you do willingly.
Evolution certainly thinks so...
“Imposition”? If you say so.
Life is full of impositions on us as individuals, but we soldier on without complaining because suffering is part of living a full life.
It’s a new life and it’s a miracle, every time. Noting the imposition of a new life is a First World Problem if I ever heard one.

"this is a very extreme thing to have happen to your body, and it really should be something that you do willingly."
You mean, having your limbs seized and twisted off with surgical pliers?
Come on, Althouse. You used to teach law, as I recall. You understand that the only way killing this thing can be justified - legally -- is by denying that it is human. And you are finding it impossible to do that.
Inga: "Abortion at 12 weeks compared to murder at 4 years old. Compare. Do you have less concern for the child already born into a situation in which the mother hates her baby and neglects or abuses it?"
Oh, I get it, Frau Inga. It's Leben unwertens Leben. Amirite or amirite?
Sounds familiar.
It's settled, then. Inga and the creeps who think like her are deranged loons.
An abortion at 20 weeks, recorded live with that level of technology, would be horrifyingly gruesome - but it would save a lot of babies if widely distributed.
Some people, mostly anti-death penalty types, want to make executions public. Same theory.
“Oh, I get it, Frau Inga. It's Leben unwertens Leben. Amirite or amirite?”
No, you’re a fucking idiot.
Looks like good valuable marketable material, if it could be pulled out in big pieces. Note to self, could we Cesarean abortions and get the whole thing out for sale as a unit?
I do not know if this is speeded up or not. I see everyone on here talking about abortion in relation to this. I would like to talk about the obvious agitation of the baby. I have had three children. Way back there before ultrasounds. Babies in the womb are not this active. Even my overactive child was not that active.
I've read so much about autism and the increase of autism, blamed on so many things, and especially blamed on vaccines. While I watched an ultrasound of my first grand child a very long time ago,I thought, "this baby is bothered by the ultrasound." I have watched the ultrasounds of three more grandchildren and they always seem to try to get away from something. I would like to see someone who knows what they are doing research autism and ultrasounds. I know many individual ultrasounds are necessary but many are just for the pleasure of the mothers. This MRI, must be very uncomfortable for this infant. I've had quite a few and I can tell you the were not comfortable for me.
Please, if there is a doctor in the house, the comments house. Give it some thought.
