As regulars here now, I occasionally get worked up about the prog culture war. It is horrible to contemplate the Griffins and her audience, eagerly abetted by the Althouses, seizing real power beyond their cultural hegemony.
But the Kathy Griffins also offer relief: the sheer braindead asininity reminds us that we are blessed with our enemies.

Sorry, it did not seem funny to me. The material was not bad, per se, but to me it seems less than earnest. Self-deprecating humor requires that the comic actual admit to some failings for it to work. Kathy seems to be going through the motions of that without actually believing it or, for that matter, even admitting to it. Playing the victim is not usually funny even when it is true, and it is extremely hard to pull off when it is false.
