We've lost a full minute since Schlump was erected in 2016. I pray for his early resignation in 2019 to reduce the risk worldwide catastrophe.

Russians see themselves as the true successor to Rome, from Rome over to Constantiniple, and then over to Moscow's Church followed by a dark night through USSR police state. Now Putin runs the only Christian European state left.
That was a lot of fun.
The only part that irked me was the now-obligatory shots of folks in the audience pulling out their cell phones to film what is going on. The apparent implication is that whatever street scene unfolding before our eyes would come across as not worthy of our attention unless the stage-crafted people watching it on the street thought it was worth whipping out their cell phones to record.

You do understand that if they were in their combat fatigues, armed with AK-74M assault rifles (not the AK-47, which has been supplanted by the AK-74M and, more recently, the AK-15), and ordered to shoot you, they would do it in a heartbeat.

Very scientific, that measurement. You can bet we are actually 33±1% closer to global thermonuclear war. With ≥95% confidence. They're scientists, after all. They would never dress up a political opinion as a precisely quantifiable scientific judgment. I know because I'm a scientist myself and none of us would ever do that.
Anyway, Merry Christmas. I'm willing to bet it won't be the last. If you really think it will, I am sorry for you, because that's a miserable thing to believe. And while I find your opinions arguable and your manner frequently insulting for no good reason, I don't wish you misery. Both can be true: Trump can be appalling, and it'll all be OK somehow.

What kind of scientist are you? What qualifies you to opine on the likelihood of doomsday? I'll go along with the atomic scientists who have studied the issues. I'm not very civil when dealing with the deplorables. Christmas is commercialized garbage for the most part.
