The cop isn't small either.
Nor is he wearing shorts or lycra.
And I'm thinking more generally about the glory of winning when the other guy has a headstart, how if you believe and commit hard, you can overcome the headstart.
You know who had a great headstart? Jeb Bush.
Also, Hillary in 2008.
That cop was amazing. Particularly considering how much stuff (what is called in the Army: "Battle rattle") he must be wearing. 10 pounds?
So Freeze fans pay for admission and get to see a Braves game as a bonus- Cool!!! (pun intended)
And the guy the cop was chasing might have had a gun and turned around to use it. The cop knew that was possible when the footrace was on.

Easily 10 pounds or more when you count the vest, sidearm(s), cuffs, etc. I'll bet his shoes weren't the best for running, either.
