It was dropped pretty quickly. It wasn't a big story where that's all Obama was asked about for days. Journalists didn't boycott the Press dinner or anything, and still brought their celebrity friends. But then, CNN didn't have its current "news" model.
One Pinocchio, for the word “vehemently.” Make it two, for implying that the denunciation was universal among mainstream journalists.
Who were Obama's paramours?
Jake's examples were of Jake Tapper (and once, Floyd Abrams) going after Obama. That isn't really....overwhelming.

Love it. The MSM claims vehemently that they got upset for a week or two when the Obama DoJ came after some of their own. When he essentially attacked the press. Of course, they are completely silent when the Obama DoJ went after anyone else, besides the MSM, and seemingly cheered when they illegally tried to prevent Trump from being elected. In fact, they are actively covering that up.
And the most prominent of the journalists was James Rosen (I think I have the right name here, because there was a NYT reporter with a very similar name who was also involved in this stuff) of Fox News. And the mainstream media is prone to regard Fox as "not really true journalists". So it would be sort of like saying "investigating leaks to the National Enquirer doesn't really undercut the first amendment protections of legitimate journalists."
Show me a clip tape of 30 journalists sounding vehement or I am calling BS

It was not just "obtaining James Rosen's phone records," but the then Attorney General, Eric Holder, his very own self, directing DoJ lawyers to commit perjury in the effort to get the records.
The Gov't is entitled to investigate and stop leaks, but not to commit perjury in the process.

Notice that the Washington Post story included the Ali Watkins' age, but the New York Times story never mentions it.
Why isn't this a case of sexual discrimination? The female reporter got a leg up on her male colleagues by granting sexual favors to the Senate intelligence officer.

Jake and the boys and girls really hate when people get to see what they really do. Tell Clappper he’s got a gig at CNN in a few weeks and ask him to get Trump briefed on a bulshit report from some guy Hillary’s campaign hired. Then put Clapper on the air and watch while he lies to CNN viewers.
McCabe is giving leaks to favored reporters. The media are fucking lap dogs who like being used to service The Agenda.
Watkins is a young woman. Feckless. She ruined her reputation by trading sex for information. Her bosses knew what she was doing.
Most viewers and readers now see what is going on. Which of you guys is blowing Mueller for leaks?
Watkins isn't going to be prosecuted for publishing the leaks from Wolfe, so she is already being treated far better than Joe Schmoe commenting on Althouse might be if he had revealed the same information Wolfe leaked. Watkins is already being treated better than Joe Schmoe would be if Joe gave the information from Wolfe to to Watkins for her stories. In other words, the journalism profession has no basis to complain now or then about the treatment they are getting or got.
If you are involved in an illegal revelation of classified information, and the government has probable cause that you are, being a journalist should have no bearing whatsoever on whether or not your records are subject to a warrant. The privilege the press is trying to claim for itself should either be universally applied to every citizen, or it should not exist.

I don't think the press is going to gain much sympathy among us normal folks when we just -- a month ago -- had it beaten into our heads that privilege can't protect people anymore (i.e. Cohen, attorney-client).
On that note, I'd love to see an argument that press deserve more protection than attorney-client.
I have a lot of respect for Glenn Greenwald. Enough respect to believe he knows the difference between criticizing a sitting President and criticizing the DOJ, however vehemently, in terms of attention, penetration, and cultural currency. Criticizing the DOJ = “We’re nitpicking here.”
Be disgusted, be appalled, but realize that this sort of security leak is what can be used to destroy entire countries, not just a political opponent. Step on it, hard.
