“I was sexually assaulted by one of her crewmembers. He groped and grabbed me from behind,” [Reign] says, wiping away tears. “I spoke up immediately because I was in the moment, and I was so proud of myself. She was the director that day, I went straight to her and straight to the man that did it, we had a conversation about it, I went to the owner of Wicked Pictures, I did all the right things. And she did not handle the situation appropriately, respectfully or professionally. So it’s a little bit outrageous when I hear her say things about how she is standing up for women and wants to be a voice for other women to be able to come forward when I was assaulted on her set and she didn’t give me any care or attention, and didn’t even send that man home.”...
Reign was the lead in the film, starring alongside the adult actor Michael Vegas. She even had some meaty dialogue. On November 14, the first day of the shoot, she says everything went relatively smoothly—save an uncomfortable conversation about accused sexual abuser Harvey Weinstein. Reign says that Daniels was “basically making fun of the Me Too movement, in so many words,” joking to the crew, “Oh, I could be seen as Harvey Weinstein because I’m flirtatious with my crewmembers and I can be inappropriate.” It made Reign uncomfortable, but she let it go. (Daniels has made statements critical of #MeToo on Twitter.)...

"The adult actress Tasha Reign alleges that she was groped and harassed on a porn film [Stormy] Daniels directed in November 2017, and that Daniels ultimately sided with her alleged abuser."

Society hasn't decided whether an acted fuck is like an acted kiss or not.
Traditionally the kiss is accepted as acted, not felt, and the fuck is not.
Move the fuck into not felt as well and she's got a groping case.

Because some billionaires own the major media outlets and they want Trump out of power.
And to keep single women on the democrat plantation.
it wasn't one of the actors; it was
"one of her crewmembers"
i've never been in a Professional porn film, but; i don't Think that the actors are supposed to be pleasure toys for the film crew
This is way too clever. I smell a Trumpian plot in the whole show biz mess now. A good porn star and a wicked porn star in a WWF Ultimate Fight Challenge is an idea that had to come from DaTrumpMaster.
Stormy Daniels is a Republican.
Is “meaty dialogue” a dog whistle about fellatio?
How can anyone be surprised? Stormy Daniels is a person of low moral character. She’s a whore and an attention whore.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005)
Left-wing autophagy. And these two really know how to swallow. Bring the popcorn.
And bringing it back to the Stormy thread, two things I learned:
From the No Agenda boys, I learned that Stormy's lawyer, Avenatti, was one of the lawyers who sued the producer and Donal Trump claiming that they had stolen the idea for The Apprentice from them.
he joined Greene Broillet & Wheeler, a Los Angeles boutique litigation firm. While there, Michael spearheaded many high-profile cases, including a $10 million defamation case against Paris Hilton; a successful idea theft lawsuit involving the reality show The Apprentice and its producer, Mark Burnett, as well as Donald Trump;
http://avenatti.com/bio/
Actually, they settled.
And this:
As attorney Robert Barnes has discovered Michael Avenatti has a very disturbing and possibly criminal past.
Avenatti is deeply in debt — Not just with his failed coffee company but with his law firm which failed to even file his law firm’s income tax returns for 2014, 2015, and 2016.
On Thursday May 10th Michael Avenatti released a statement saying all fees and and expenses of his case with porn star Stormy Daniels “have either been funded by our client, Ms. Stephanie Clifford, or by donations from our crowdjustice.com page.
...
As attorney Robert Barnes reported earlier today in January 2018 Michael Avenatti got an unidentified source of income that allowed him to pay:
** $4.85 Million to his law firm employees he defrauded
** Close to $2 Million in back taxes for payroll taxes on his law firm
** Nearly another $1 million to other creditors
This occured at the same time he picked up a new client — Stormy Daniels.
In January 2018, #Avenatti got an unidentified source of income that allowed him to pay $4.85M to his law firm employees he defrauded, close to $2M in back taxes for payroll taxes on his law firm, and near another $1M to other creditors. Same time as: new client #StormyDaniels. https://t.co/svr125THxe

So Trump had a mole in the Stormy camp?
Next, we'll hear that, rather than the FBI having a mole in the Trump camp, Trump had a mole in the FBI camp. Maybe Comey was Trump's man all along. That would explain a lot of the crazy dialed up to 11--the way Comey et al. discredited the FBI, made Trump look good by comparison, sucked O's people into embarrassing themselves, and kept the MSM attention off the things that mattered to give Trump a free hand in doing what had to be done. Anyway . . .
It was very well-done agitprop, especially the whole thing about drawing out the story to gain media attention. Nothing illegal probably. But Melania Trump may have been the actual target.
Anyhow, could be the puppet masters are done with Stormy Daniels now.

We are all whores. I doubt very much most the average price for people on this board is much higher than Daniel’s Price. A few hundred thousand dollars would get some interesting actions out of most people here.
Daniels should not be the target of your ire.

Stormy Daniels is a Republican.
Probably.
There are a lot more republicans now than there were a year ago.
Daniels is making a lot more money this year thanks to Trump. Millions of people are making more money now. The economy is probably the biggest reason why we are head d to a red wave in a few months. She will most definitely vote for trump in 2020 when he wins 40+ States.
I am shocked this happened on a pron set, is nothing sacred?
Now if everyone on that set had been talking about Trump's then tax bill, which was still being debated, perhaps for example whether the historic buildings tax credit should be extended for another 10 years, well then I could take these people seriously and the "so in the moment" female might have a point.
What I find most hilarious is that others believed Stormy could "direct."
Meaty dialogue, indeed. From the mouths of babes....

ARM, you don’t get it do you? That retort doesn’t work anymore.
Like, Trump putting the US embassy in Jerusalem is kinda like Samson pushing down the pillars and shit.
I mean, Stormy thought she was all Delilah and fucked with his hair, and Trump can be an asshole, but God is saying the embassy should be in Jerusalem because they're my people, bitches, and so He's giving Trump more strength and the fucking temple is gonna fall on some heads.
When Trump goes to Heaven God is gonna say "Dude, you were an asshole, but you did the Big Thing right, so come on in.
Shit like that.
>>I am shocked this happened on a pron set
R/V gets it exactly right. Good luck with your "hostile work environment" claims, sweetie.
ARM is just mailing it in nowadays. Half of his comments are “X is a Republican”.
Mary Jo Kopechne was a Democrat.
Some of them made lemonade, but most porn stars grew up in lemon orchards. If Stormy Daniels doesn't have a few scandals in her past, she's unique in the porn industry. She's gotten a good press up to now, but this is proof not of her sterling character but of the bias in the media. She's not ordinarily the kind of person that SNL or Samantha Bee would treat with the kind of courtesy and respect they extend to true reformers like Eric Schneiderman, but she has been given that respect.......Maybe Tasha Reign can become the Roseanne of the porn industry and attract a conservative following. i hate to see the porn industry becoming politicized, but, really, isn't it about time that conservative Americans had their own porn star to rally behind.
Stormy Daniels is Tom Steyer's ticket to impeachment.
"She even had some meaty dialogue."
Reads like a 1970s porn movie review.
Stormy is a Republican? OMG! - why didn't you say so? Now she has 100% credibility.
gspencer said..."What I find most hilarious is that others believed Stormy could "direct."
I assume Stormy said something like those song lyrics "… You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel"
Not much directing involved.
I want to know if Stormy is paying Avenutti in-kind.
A lawyer in Omaha took payment for legal services from a woman client with in-kind sexual favors. He was dismissed from his firm. His partners would have preferred the money. Other than this incident, he was a good guy, good golfer and a good lawyer. And I think his wife stayed with him too.
Correction. There were only two or maybe three equity and income partners in that firm. He was better off as a solo. The founder of that firm ran it with an iron fist. And the office was decorated like a whore house.
Trump and Stormy Daniels are the face of the modern Republican party.

Isn't the whole Stormey Daniels thing a simple breach of contract? What's so newsworthy about it? It's not even very interesting.
Not that Althouse readers would know or understand, but the interesting thing with the scandal is how it might run afoul of banking, tax, wire fraud and campaign finance laws. So yeah, that is very, very interesting. Also, the way that it may expose Michael Cohen and then Donald Trump to additional criminal investigation. But in truth, all of that is so obvious, no one should need my to write it.
The least interesting things -- which you might be alluding to -- are all about Donald Trump's personal morality (there appears to be none), Donald Trump's routine NDA's with anyone who gets close to the mess that is his personal life, and the mere notion of Donald Trump's, flabby, flaccid body engaged in sex with anyone or anything.
Stormy Daniels means nothing to me; I don't need to admire her, or like her, or accept her credibility. The fact that Althouse would bother with this story indicates that she thinks that insofar as this mini-story is something that effectively takes a shot at Stormy Daniels (as -- I don't know -- a person who is in fact insensitive to sexual misconduct), it is worth re-broadcasting via her blog. And that to Althouse, the real emotional pull of the story is a kind of Stormy-versus-Donald personal battle for moral supremacy. I won't hold my breath on that one. Again; I don't care one bit about Stormy Daniels. What I want is a cold-blooded, dull, unemotional federal indictment that doesn't mention Stormy Daniels, but which drives a legal "wooden stake" through the vampire heart of Donald Trump.
The Republicans have many faces. The Democrats have many assholes.
ARM, if 'Republican' means 'to the Right of ARM' than 'Republican' applies to something like 75% of the population.
This is a pretty blunt response. But I don't blame Trump for responding.
Strangely, Aventi is probably more vulnerable than Stormy. I think just the source of his income right now would discredit him in the eyes of anyone not a blindly partisan Democrat (and Chuck, which is a distinction without a difference).
Nancy Pelosi, Tom Steyer, Antifa, the on air talent at MSNBC, and Hillary Clinton, are the face of the democrat party.
Actually, ARM, Story Daniels is the face of the democrat party.
...with a little Harvey Weinstien and Eric Schneiderman sprinkled on top. Nancy Pelosi Crumbs as a chaser.
I wonder if a Private Server created and used while head of the State Department runs afoul of the law?
Groped and harassed on a porn film? The horror! The horror!
Not that Althouse readers would know or understand, but the interesting thing with the scandal is how it might run afoul of banking, tax, wire fraud and campaign finance laws.
Not that a moron from Michigan would know or understand, but the interesting thing about this non-scandal is that it has nothing to do with Trump's campaign or the Russia-Russia-Russia bullshit story. I mean if Trump was signing NDAs all over the place, boning porn actresses and Playboy bunnies then what's ONE more that happened near the campaign. Even the other Bunny, Bunny Melon, who secretly financed John Edwards side-squeeze baby-momma, din't run afoul of "Campaign Finance Law" in the end. That episode did not end with Edwards or Bunny in jail even though they explicitly hid the payments to keep from harming Edward's presidential campaign.
Now perhaps our local LLR is just so fond of the silky pony Edwards that he forgot about this breach of "banking, tax, wire fraud and campaign finance laws" was easily brushed aside. Why the strange monomaniacal focus on harming Trump and the country?
John Edwards = whatever happened to him? Oh right the hack press(D) did all they could to protect him, but the facts got in the way so now he is vanished.
(Blank) is the face of the modern Democrat Party.
There isn’t a name you could think of, that you could throw in there and it wouldn’t invite hilarity. “Blank” is actually the best option.
Obama (crying as his legacy does a Hindenburg impression) is the face of the Democrat Party.
Hillary (still bitching that "they" stopped her from winning) is the face of the Democrat Party.
Nancy Pelosi (rolling her dentures around and cackling while lustily talking of raising taxes) is the face of the Democrat Party.
Antifa is the face of the Democrat Party.
CNN is the face of the Democrat Party.
Actually, since Stormy Daniels(R) is a Republican, and she IS the face of the Democrat party, that means a Republican is the face of the Democrat party.
Gnarly.

"Not that Althouse readers would know or understand, but the interesting thing with the scandal is how it might run afoul of banking, tax, wire fraud and campaign finance laws."
No the interesting thing is that one might strech these laws to create a case worth prosecution. That says more about the laws and lawfare as political weapons than the "scandal" itself.

"Might". You keep saying that laws were broken, but present the evidence, Chuck. Present the known set of facts and the US code that would result in charges for any of that. I assume you have a law library up there in Michigan.
Hell, present evidence that Cohen is stupid and has done things improperly before that has skated him close to the law such that he might have made a mistake in his various business dealings. There's no evidence of that.

However, CNN will not be fooled. More Stormy Daniels at the Top of the Hour!
Stay Tuned. This is CNN. (Certainly Not News).
Chuck is curiously, curiously incurious at all about his dream girlfriend Stormy's attorney and his mysterious windfall of over 8 million bucks.
Not an ounce of curiosity to see where that came from. Who cares if it's more Clinton Cash, right? As long as Trump falls, Chuck will happily and gleefully burn the Republic to the ground and allow a communist dictatorship to take over. If the world burns, Chuck is happy as long as Trump dies. And that's not metaphorical--no one has this much hatred for a person without wanting them dead.
Chuck, you are bordering on a level that makes me think the Secret Service may well be watching you.

ARM is not in favor of "big tent" parties. Jenna Jamison made millions from porn and is a Republican.
The first people to make good money from the internet were porn stars who set up their own sites with payment mechanisms.
Stormy is not porn "star." She is an older whore who is being paid, along with her mafia-style lawyer, because she once had her picture taken with Trump at a golf tournament.

Absolutely. One of the fundamental human conditions like pride, hypocrisy, envy, etc.
Maybe its just the knee deep stinking hypocrisy of the left adopting this porn star hero who doesn't even give a flying fuck about her so called #metoo experience?
Maybe it's like Trump said... When you're a star, the LET you.
I would ask Michael Avenati 2 questions:
1. Who's paying your fees? It certainly ain't Ms. Daniels
2. Have you slept with Stormy yet, and, if not, why not?
I guess I tack on another, Why is Stormy creating a hostile work environment on the set of a porn movie?

So why did CNN pay Trump's lawyer 600K? Was that "breaking news!"?
So why should anyone care that Daniels criticized the #MeToo movement, she’s not some hero to the left. That would make her similar to most of the rightist commenters here and they might like her all the better for it.
"She's not a hero to the left..."
And CNN gives you the straight up news right down the middle without any bias whatsoever!

Chuck, you are bordering on a level that makes me think the Secret Service may well be watching you.
It doesn't make one damned bit of difference, who is paying Stormy Daniels' attorney in that civil litigation, when it comes to a federal criminal investigation. If Stormy Daniels has ten attorneys, all getting paid $8 million each by Putin, George Soros, Tom Steyer, Kim Jong Un, MSNBC, Jane Fonda, Jeff Bezos, the New York Times and Al Franken; it doesn't matter in a federal indictment. If it is a good indictment, Stormy Daniels' lawyer doesn't matter and it won't be any sort of valid criminal defense for Cohen or Trump. If it is a bad indictment, Cohen and Trump have vast resources to defend it and beat the rap.
Stormy Daniels' personal foibles do not matter.
I am not predicting anything. I don't know what is going to happen. I am just happily watching the investigation unfold.
Well, I suppose that I am predicting just one thing. That if Michael Cohen gets indicted, and if that indictment drags Donald Trump into a federal criminal proceeding, I will be back here to spike that football.
”That if Michael Cohen gets indicted, and if that indictment drags Donald Trump into a federal criminal proceeding, I will be back here to spike that football.”
The country and the world be damned. Christ, you’re despicable.
My main takeaway from all this is that "the swamp" is far worse than most of us ever realized, and that rather than draining it Trump has mostly been reshuffling its hierarchy.
"She even had some meaty dialogue."
There was a lot of back and forth.
Where, oh where, is my ten foot pole?
Never mind. Not even with that ten foot pole will I approach this any closer.
Without laughing, I mean.
Howard, despite being a lefty idiot, is somewhat correct when he compared Chuck to a retard.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
Stormy Daniels' personal foibles do not matter.
Yes, only Trump's do. (eyeroll)
Notice how traditional "Bottoms" like to use Chuck as a punching bag. It's the equal to gang banging a short bus kid.
Chuck can take care of himself. And he knows how to make it stop.
Chuck is the kind of conservative what thinks that using law enforcement agents with guns to seize attorney files, which are then used in the media is all good if it gets Trump, because democracy, our republican norms, and the rule of law mean little compared to the need to get Trump.
Chuck said... I am just happily watching the investigation unfold.

So you are ok with the way they are conducting this..so long as they "get Trump!"?
Anything about Comey and the various FBI players are going about things that bother you? The footdragging, obfuscation by DOJ etc etc.
All good?
How much of this abuse of law enforcment (Cohen) intelligence agencies (NSA wiretapping of Trump) etc, can a "life long Republican" take without getting disgusted?
Had Hillary won, this would have become embedded in a one party state. Chuck should be out blowing his bugle and shouting the news that Trump has averted, for a time, that catastrophe.
Had Cruz won the nomination, he would be on his book tour right now, getting rich off of his loss.
”That if Michael Cohen gets indicted, and if that indictment drags Donald Trump into a federal criminal proceeding, I will be back here to spike that football.”
Double "Ifs"?
Two can play that game.
If Meade wins $20 Million dollars playing Lotto, and if he parlays that money into a US Senate seat from Wisconsin, I will be back here to spike Chuck's football.
Narciso is always right.
The real game here is being played off the court.

If Meade wins $20 Million dollars playing Lotto, and if he parlays that money into a US Senate seat from Wisconsin, I will be back here to spike Chuck's football.
If Meade ran as a Republican against Tammy Baldwin and if I were registered to vote in Wisconsin, I would vote for him.
That if Michael Cohen gets indicted, and if that indictment drags Donald Trump into a federal criminal proceeding, I will be back here to spike that football
Why would it drag Donald Trump into a federal criminal proceeding? If Donald Trump was the target, why did Mueller pass it off to the SDNY? Or was that just a ruse so Mueller wouldn't get fired?
thanks buwaya I don't link those sources, but I note they are as legitimate as anything else, so there isn't any actual proof of daniels allegation, much like there is no tell tale photograph in the greatens case, there was practically none in the stevens case, but the prosecutors relied on a very unreliable chief witness,
Chuck did they teach you to question your assumptions in law school?
Out of curiosity, Chuck, when do you predict Michael Cohen will be indicted?
If it happens after the November mid-terms, nobody gives a fuck.
Also, since we can reasonably infer that Cohen has nothing whatsoever to do with the Russian-collusion charge to Mueller (or else Mueller would not have referred it to the USDC, Southern Dist NY), that means Attorney General Sessions remains in charge
Do you really think AG Sessions will sign off on a trumped-up (no pun intended) indictment against Trump's attorney within the next 4 months?
I doubt it.
Whenever someone uses a football metaphor, it reminds me of what Garo Yepremian said after hitting his first field goal: I Keek a Touchdown!
It's clear someone is paying all these women, both Daniels and Reign, and more so their lawyers.
Daniels' lawyer was obviously given at least $7million by someone running a propaganda op vs Trump.
Reign's lawyer, who knows, but it's someone in the opposing camp.
These are political operations organized behind the scenes.
That's your game, not what you see on TV.
@Howard,
Outstanding reference to Garo Yepremian, who pretty much embodies the entire "Get Trump" movement.

I don't know! Avenatti predicted 90 days, I think.

I think I do! Remember, I am not rooting for Republicans to lose their congressional majorities. But if they do, it's going to be ugly for Trump.
Also, since we can reasonably infer that Cohen has nothing whatsoever to do with the Russian-collusion charge to Mueller (or else Mueller would not have referred it to the USDC, Southern Dist NY), that means Attorney General Sessions remains in charge
Yes; a fair point. But I am not hanging any immediate hopes for something bad to happen to Trump arising out of any Russian collusion. I just don't know. I have said that all along; that I don't know, and that I am just watching, and that I haven't seen much of anything to make me think that "Russian collusion" is going to produce an indictable offense on the part of President Trump.
Do you really think AG Sessions will sign off on a trumped-up (no pun intended) indictment against Trump's attorney within the next 4 months?
With Mueller having referred the Cohen matter to the SDNY, I don't think that Sessions has to sign off on much of anything as he did, perhaps, with the Cohen search warrant. (Did he? I thought that he was recused from that. I could be wrong.) Anyway, I don't think that Jeff Sessions will in any way prevent Cohen from getting indicted on something like an FEC violation and/or wire fraud in connection with "Essential Consultants, LLC."
Chuck,
We know that you aren't getting an indictment. You know you aren't getting an indictment.
So your lack of curiosity is telling because we are not 'paying for an indictment' (something that a lawyer should know if the provenance of the GOVERMENT, not sleazy lawyers).
No, you are gleefully and incuriously happy that SOMEONE somewhere is paying for a character assassination.
You are happy that someone is attacking the AMERICAN PRESIDENT and you don't care who is doing it or for what reasons. If the fall of Trump leads to a far weaker United States, that is a price you will gleefully pay. This says SO MUCH about you, and none of it good.
Yet you bloviate endlessly about a few tens of thousands of dollars of Russian ho hum facebook ads.
Would you be so phlegmatic if Obama was being attacked?
No. And we all know it.
You have revealed your character. It's besmirched.
“It's clear someone is paying all these women, both Daniels and Reign, and more so their lawyers.”
Why should I care who is paying the women and the lawyers? Trump did not care who was paying Julian Assange.

Sorta. The path was cut by Bill Clinton, Trump turned it into an Interstate. The mistake democrats make is thinking they can hoist Trump on his own petard. Donnie thrives in the middle of a shitstorm enabled by unwitting accomplices on the left and the rating whore MSM.
Isn't the whole Stormey Daniels thing a simple breach of contract? What's so newsworthy about it? It's not even very interesting.
Because the left is throwing a non-stop temper tantrum and they've got nothing else to bitch about.
It's really that simple.

For the sake of Inga's sense of decency we should restore the Korean War and mass unemployment, and make all the working people give back their crumbs. It's the only decent thing to do.

I didn't vote for Obama. Not once; not ever. I was an RNLA election day volunteer in '08 and in '12. So no; you don't know shit.
I have never written much of anything about Russian ads on Facebook, apart from agreeing with Ann Althouse that I see no proof, and no hope of any proof, that anyone can ever show even remotely that Trump did not win the election of 2016, irrespective of anything done by any Russians. So again, you are just full of shit when it comes to making allegations about me.
I don't think that anyone's private payments to any lawyer, any witness or any other player means a damned thing when it comes to Trump. I think that the only thing that matters is the money being paid on the public record by the U.S. Department of Justice to the lawyers in the DOJ offices in the SDNY, and in the Special Counsel's office.
I hope that answers your stupid comment.

Obama has been caught using the DOJ/FBI to pay spies to undermine and inform on a political opponents campaign.
Democrats used the federal government to spy on political opponents.
Nixon resigned protecting clunkier he didn’t know about. What Obama did is far worse than what Nixon did.
You stalinists need to complete your coup so we can stop talking about “indency ceilings.”

“President Trump has a big decision to make. Unless he requests an extension, his personal financial disclosure report is due Tuesday.
Under the Ethics in Government Act, he has to disclose all liabilities that exceeded $10,000 at any time during calendar year 2017, even if he repaid them later that year. That includes his debt to Michael Cohen for the $130,000 payment Cohen made in October 2016 to adult film star Stormy Daniels (real name Stephanie Clifford).
The question is whether Trump will disclose that debt, as well as any others he might have omitted.
The answer should be easy, but the president is in a difficult position. He left out the Daniels-related debt in the financial disclosure report he filed on June 14, 2017. Disclosing it now means acknowledging that he should have disclosed it last year. Disclosure may also lead to damaging revelations if he omitted other liabilities from any past financial disclosure reports or incurred new ones since June. As a result, the president’s team could be looking for a way to justify the omission.”

Democrats have called every republican presidential candidate literally Hitler since 1948.....because "Trump".
History began anew this very morning for our leftist/LLR's.

Indeed that is what the investigations into Trump are all about.
During a May 2012 holiday in Monaco with fellow adult star Brooklyn Lee, Reign encountered former United States President Bill Clinton. A photo of the adult stars and Clinton quickly went viral on the internet.[40] After massive media attention, Reign explained the photo with Clinton was her being a fan of him and not the other way around.[41]
In June 2014, it was announced that Reign would be receiving her diploma from UCLA during the commencement ceremony on Saturday, June 14. Her degree is in gender studies. Jennifer Moorman, a lecturer at the Otis College of Art and Design, commented that Reign was a "thoughtful and inquisitive student who brought a unique perspective to the classroom."[42]
Inga: "Retainer”...LOL. What dupes you people are."
I wonder if LLR Chuck who insults republicans and conservatives endlessly would like to chime in on this hilariously stupid Inga comment.
I'm betting not.
Why attack a teammate, eh Chuck?
LOL
"Indeed that is what the investigations into Trump are all about."
They aren't.
Everything at this level is far more about the subtext, as far as we are concerned, because we don't know what the players know.
Every last thing is done for a reason, and these are not the reasons someone publicly tells us about. The series of events with the Trump "investigations" for instance have opened a very partial window into the mid-level of this area of the great game.
Attempting to understand what is going on purely on the basis of public information is like trying to understand a war entirely by listening to propaganda broadcasts.
Whoever is paying Stormy's lawyers is pouring money down the drain. I hope it is the usual suspects who are rich eough to torment who they please. Inga and Chuck seem to think that lying to the press on a private matter is a criminal offense. Now they seem to also think that NDAs are unenforcable. If the "investigation" of this nefarious matter results in Stormy's lawyer(s) hitting the financial jackpot then i am all for it, scum ag that he is. Better still will be the Dems trying to explain why anyone would give a shit that is not glued to CNN 24/7. Clown show. Amb ulance. Chaser and hooker prove $130,000 was a federal crime uncovered after a year long investigation hi ging on the repudiation of an NDA on a private matter.
The "investigations" of Trump, like all such things, are political acts in themselves, they are elements of the political conflict, they matter in the power struggle.
They are also not conducted, ever, by disinterested persons for some neutral purpose.
One day, maybe, a long time from now when the politics of today are irrelevant, and if enough records are preserved, a historian will be able to tell this story in a disinterested manner. But not today.

Now we know Stormy's layer is an alchemist.
Has wwww seen this ? What about his $450 million ?
The Democrats are betting the farm on Trump hate in the November election. What will they do if this fails ?
Democrats in WI have bet the farm in several consecutive election cycles on Walker Hate. It hasn't worked.
Now, I wonder if Walker fatigue has set in. There is a natural wish for change, IMO, among the electorate that will wake up after 2 or 3 or 4 terms. (OTOH: Democratic platform that I've seen so far is to throw money at the Teachers' Union)
The Democrats are betting the farm on Trump hate in the November election. What will they do if this fails ?
That's what they did in the 2016 election, and it failed. So when it fails again they will do the same thing they're doing now. Or should we expect a miracle ?
“Now, I wonder if Walker fatigue has set in.”

Well, winning elections isn't as much fun as sending in the secret police to seize documents, and then file them under "Opposition Research" the way the John Doe people did, or running and hiding like the Democrats did when they lost an election, but I am willing to wait and see on the "Blue Wave."
Looks like it's time for Inga to bring back "Keep hope alive!"

SAN FRANCISCO — The California Supreme Court threw out a sexual harassment lawsuit against the makers of the hit comedy "Friends" on Thursday, ruling that vulgar and coarse comments by the show's writers reflected the "creative workplace" for a comedy with sexual themes.
In ruling unanimously for Warner Bros. Television Productions, the state high court said the show's writers did not direct their lewd comments at the woman who sued them or at women particularly.
State law "does not outlaw sexually coarse and vulgar language or conduct that merely offends," Justice Marvin R. Baxter wrote for the court.
Baxter said the court based its decision "on the totality of the undisputed circumstances, particularly the fact the 'Friends' production was a creative workplace focused on generating scripts for an adult-oriented comedy show featuring sexual themes." . - LA Times

Next, we'll hear that, rather than the FBI having a mole in the Trump camp, Trump had a mole in the FBI camp. Maybe Comey was Trump's man all along.
This was (is?) a theory. His job was to keep the Clintonistas in the deep state distracted working on nothing while the IG went about silently and leak free doing his work, and Trump continued to act as president doing presidential things like appointing justices.
Don't know if anyone still believes it... but it could be true. Stranger things have happened.
Stormy was carried by Democrats into DC on a sedan chair with palm fronds thrown in her path and a rain of rose petals, but then it turns out it didn't work, so it's "fire up the air brushes" now, "We never knew her!"
I think Trump has a mole at CNN making decisions about what news stories to front page and hammer. Devilishly clever mole/troll too.

He has been so good at predicting, hasn't he ?
Th polls are down to about even now, aren't they ?
Wishcasting is not a strategy.
Royal ass Inga hardest hit.
Ryan is in the business of fund raising. Complacency doesn't open wallets or motivate candidates.
Candidates for political office are allowed to spend their own money for personal items or expenses that are not part of their political campaign. NDAs are perfectly legal. Blackmail is not legal and can never be charged to a political campaign. The payment to Clifford (Daniels) was never charged to the Trump campaign, as Chuck pointed out, even in the most recent adjustments filed. Just because Trump was self-financing his campaign at historical levels doesn't mean that every penny he spent was part of his campaign expenditures--only those he chose to put on his filings.
Politicians like Hillary charge everything to their campaigns, just like they charge everything to taxpayers when they hold political office.

Inga was all over the early Stormy threads, BTW. One of my favorite comments was her calling somebody an idiot for mentioning that Hillary pretty much suffered the same shit at the hands, and well, member, of Bill Clinton that Inga generated so many crocodile tears for poor Melania.
Senator Chuck, you are on record stating that you don't care if Putin, Soros, Lil Kim or Hillary Clinton is paying for Avanetti to commit this act of character assassination at Trump.
Well...anyone with half a brain DOES care what outcomes these people want. (By the way, how is that brain cancer treating you? Arizona weather okay this time of year?)
And since you continue to never defend Republicans, say nice things about Republicans, or show any values except 'I hate Trump', yeah...I don't believe a word you say about your political bone fides.
With loyalty like that to Country and Party, we don't need you. You would rather ingenuously let Putin, for example, pay off Stormy to destabilize the government...but as long as we get rid of a guy who has done more Conservative stuff than GWB ever did, you are happy.
I am calling it like I see it, Senator Chuck.
"What I want is a cold-blooded, dull, unemotional federal indictment that doesn't mention Stormy Daniels, but which drives a legal "wooden stake" through the vampire heart of Donald Trump."
Chuckie needs a hug.
“Stormy was carried by Democrats into DC on a sedan chair with palm fronds thrown in her path and a rain of rose petals, but then it turns out it didn't work, so it's "fire up the air brushes" now, "We never knew her!"”
This is another odd disjointed comment Tim. First, what didn’t “work out”? Has anything been concluded regarding the Stormy scandal? Not that I’ve heard. Secondly when was Stormy “carried by Democrats on a sedan chair into DC” ( yes I know you don’t mean it literally)? I doubt too many people feel Stormy Daniels was wronged beyond being bought off too cheaply. Democrats didn’t and don’t care about Stormy, it’s not about Stormy. It’s about Trump breaking Campaign Finance laws or worse types of corruption.
I hope I’ve cleared up your confusion.
Let me do an Inga: Here is the indictment on those 13 Russians
Also while posing as U.S. persons, the indictment says they contacted Trump campaign operatives to provide support. The indictment makes clear that the Trump organizers were unaware of the Russians’ true identities and motives.
Not until page 23 of the 37-page indictment does the defendants’ true purpose come into focus. As stated there, after the election, they organized and promoted rallies “in support of president-elect Trump, while simultaneously using other false U.S. persons to organize and coordinate rallies protesting the results of the 2016 presidential election.”
For example, on November 12, 2016, the defendants and their unnamed co-conspirators organized a rally in New York designed to “show your support for President-Elect Donald Trump” while on the same date they organized a rally in New York called “Trump is NOT my President.” Three days later, they organized a North Carolina rally entitled “Charlotte Against Trump.”
In addition to undercutting the Trump-Russia collusion narrative, these anti-Trump measures make apparent that, rather than achieve any particular electoral outcome, the defendants intended to sow dissension, bitterness, and distrust among the American electorate. They were trying to do in America what Russia has done in other countries by mounting disinformation campaigns to undermine trust and confidence in democratic institutions.
But Senator Chuck is the modern day Walter Duranty to Putin's Stalin, happy to let them gut trust in America as long as he can get Trump to fall first. At least Duranty got a Pulitzer.
Sad really. Particularly since a revelation like this will not make Chuck question anything.

Tim, I see you are back to commenting in rapid fire fashion about things that never transpired or that you misunderstood ( once again). While I’m glad that you have returned to commenting after your flounce off and have overcome your hurt feelings regarding the penis size comments directed at the general male population (that you took personally), please quote or link to what you are referring to. I can agree that Hillary Clinton was poorly treated by Bill Clinton as Melania was poorly treated by Trump, so I really don’t know what comment of mine you’re referring to. I don’t recall ever saying that Bill Clinton wasn’t a horn dog and didn’t treat women poorly. So your assertion rings untrue. I’m glad you're back, but for pity sake let’s not get into a “Inga said” thing again unless you are directly quoting me or provide a link. OK?
Oh wow! Look at the lengths the Trumpsters have to go to cast some doubt on the story of his pay-out.
Democrats didn’t and don’t care about Stormy, it’s not about Stormy.

Oh we are back to the dick size bashing? Is that all you've got? That's pretty pathetic. I just interpret what you write. You quoted some commenter named John who pointed out that Hillary was in the same position as Melania re the wandering hubby peepee and commented "idiot"

No Tim. You’re mistaken. I seriously doubt I’d think anyone an idiot if they said both men treated their wives poorly. Your assertion doesn’t make a bit of sense. “Mueller is in panic mode last I saw.”
When did you last “see” Mueller? You’re projecting, or read some foolish stuff on Gateway Pundit, or some such trashy publication.
Inga, Mueller is playing a role in a Deep State attempt to overthrow an elected president.
Nixon gave them just enough to let them do it with the help of the FBI #2 man.
Trump hasn't.
The origin of the 2016 counterintelligence operation, which was specifically started by CIA Director John Brennan sharing his ‘raw intelligence product’ with the FBI, was not an official product of the U.S. intelligence community. Brennan was NOT using official partnerships with intelligence agencies of our Five-Eyes partner nations; and he did not provide raw intelligence -as an outcome of those relationships- to the FBI.
It was all an op by the Deep State, which includes the Obama Intelligence people.
Clapper has already admitted he lied. Brennan is going down. Nunes has the goods.
On May 23rd, 2017, Former CIA Director John Brennan gave very specific testimony to congress where he noted he provided the raw intelligence to FBI Director Comey – FULLSTOP. We now know Stefan Halper was part of the group assembling that raw intelligence. All of it was, as Nunes outlined, “through unofficial channels”.
Listen carefully to the opening statement from former CIA Director John Brennan May 23rd, 2017, during his testimony to congress. Pay very close attention to the segment at 13:35 of this video of Brennan’s testimony:
You are still in the early stages of this. Keep watching as the OIG report comes out.
Speaking of weird cases.
"Today the prosecutor has dropped the false charges against me," Greitens said to a crowd of reporters after emerging from the courthouse. "It is a great victory and it was a long time coming. This experience has been humbling and I have emerged from it a changed man."
Greitens faced a felony charge based on allegations that he took a partially nude photograph of a woman without her consent while they were having an affair in 2015. She was allegedly bound and blindfolded when the photo was taken, and she says he threatened to release it if she ever spoke about the affair.
Judge Rex Burlison agreed to unseal the transcripts related to his decision to allow Greitens' team to depose the prosecutor.

Page, the lawyer, then counseled Strzok to be careful of what he signs in England so that he can “lawfully protect” the information — meaning, conceal it. As she put it, “Just thinking about Congress, foia [the Freedom of Information Act], etc.” Strzok replied that he had just sent a document to Page by FBInet email; she instructed him to forward it to two people: “[REDACTED] and Trisha too” (another apparent reference to the Justice Department’s Trisha Anderson). Page elaborated that Trisha “is acting Jim” — which seems to mean she was acting temporarily in the stead of James Baker, then the Bureau’s general counsel.

Meh, Michael K.
I had a black gentleman who KNEW, he KNEW that Trump was going down due to Manafort etc.
Now you KNOW that there will be a huge housecleaning in the FBI.
Well...I am a bit doubtful. Comey and McCabe are going down for sure. Too high profile and obvious. Brennan, maybe. Page and Strzok will change careers because any progress they would make has been destroyed. Damaged goods who MAY get a golden parachute, but their besmirched.
But that deep cleansing? I think there is going to be a lot of deck shuffling. Suddenly, the 'ascendant' Dem minions in the FBI will be as self censoring as a Conservative professor at a Sociology Conference. Some of the worst will get transfers. Some careers stalled.
The FBI touched that hot iron and now they will be holding their hand under their armpit for a long time.

Do you folks ever step back and acknowledge that yur talking about an organization that during the electoral processes (i.e. when it's time to go deep-state-y) only put a thumb on the scale in favor of DJT (w/ leaks that were anti-HRC and public statements (e.g. Comey) that were anti-HRC), while the anti-DJT stuff that they knew about never became public?
So, if you get the purge that you want, how much more will theses agencies work to elect Rs?
Follow up: how certain are you that having the government's law enforcement agencies working to manipulate the electorate to benefit Rs is a good thing?
FTR, do y'all still believe that gov labor unions politicking to support the election of Ds who will kick back is bad? Not that that has any relevance to my Q re law enforcement using law enforcement to elect Rs.
Sheesh.
"yur talking about an organization that during the electoral processes (i.e. when it's time to go deep-state-y) only put a thumb on the scale in favor of DJT "

Inga: "When did you last “see” Mueller? You’re projecting, or read some foolish stuff on Gateway Pundit, or some such trashy publication."
Perhaps someone simply read the transcripts from the moronic Mueller/Rosenstein indictment of the Russian individuals and companies....one of which (a company) was not even in existence during the timeframe necessary to be part of the indictment!
LOL
And one of the other entities shows up in court to answer the charges, plead not guilty and ask for a speedy trial.
Great, right? I mean, quick trial and justice in the American courts!!...
...except suddenly, surprisingly, hilariously, the Mueller team of democrat hacks begins arguing that the indicted company had never been properly served!! LOL Even though that is 100% a defense tactic to try and delay prosecution!!
So why in the world would the prosecution which indicted the entity suddenly offer up a Defense strategy to delay the proceedings and then claim the defendants were not properly served?
Hmm?
We all know why. The indictments were a sham and Mueller and his team of hacks never believed for one second that any russian individuals or companies would actually show up and contest the charges.
Mueller and his team clearly do NOT want to have to prosecute this case......almost as if there is no real evidence at all........
He's smoking some heavy duty ergot, there was a phalanx starting with McCabe at Least four ranks down same with doj
"Follow up: how certain are you that having the government's law enforcement agencies working to manipulate the electorate to benefit Rs is a good thing?"
