Living in The North.

It's going all the way up to 75° today, so we've got all the windows open to maximize the chill and fortify us against the coming heat. Right now — and I'm typing in front of 2 big windows — it's 54°.

Summer is coming

You don't live in The North. The North starts in Rhinelander.

Lasko makes tiny plastic fans that are quiet and can focus a nice breeze on a computer desk from across the room.

Some of mine have run for years. Occasionally you get one that develops a buzz, though.

Once you have a breeze, temperature doesn't matter.

The late Alistair Cooke said his favorite British headline was, “75 Degrees Again Today; No Relief in Sight.”

75 degrees today? I have to work in the sun. Guess I’ll just have to suck it up.

These are perfect days for gardening and out door work, I have been able to paint the house and stain deck without the extreme heat of summer. Now to enjoy a bike ride on one of the many trials provided by progressive Madison.

I can’t find ‘Progressive Madison’ on the tax rolls. I did find my name.

Humidity does.

Simple typo, or Freudian slip?

The North is so much better than the Midwest!

The first time I traveled to Wisconsin was in the summer of '07. We left 100 degrees in Texas and the 80 there felt chilly. My Wisconsin friend and all the natives were complaining about "dying" from the heat. We laughed.

@Mid-Life Lawyer - small world. I've been in McKinney for just over 30 years.

Personally, I find 65 with a light breeze - perfect.

I've put in my order with God, but haven't heard back yet.

When I went to Edinburgh in August, it was 43 and windy at the castle. When my sister went 2 years before, it was 90. The sheep must have melted.

Maybe both it was a challenging ride:)

Here in East Tennessee, we went from Winter right into the Summer last week.

Same here in the Piedmont, Yancey Ward. Yuck.

There's a Yanceyville just north of me.

Try summer in Phoenix. At 75 degrees we're in heaven.
