That's a tough way to improve the ratings!!
It's like how they run into the road in front of cars.
Expect to see a lot of those "Squirrels!" to suddenly appear on NBC once the "Russian meddling" probe turns to Clinton, Obama and the MSM.
Why did the squirrel cross the ski slope?
The Canadians are nuts.
So where was the moose?
COMMA.
Isn't that exactly how squirrels behave when you drive by in the car.
Which one is NBC trying to warn?
But suppose it's a drone squirrel snuck in by very bad Norks that has an Elon Musk miniature nuke instead of a cask of brandy hung around its neck?
I think she cut it's whiskers off.
Anyone who watched the event (men or women) could not help but notice that boarder on red *rather than blue) course always won (so long as he/she didn't crash). In qualifying, each athlete runs both R and B courses. Based on combined times they are then seeded and then head to head elimination runs begin. But the higher seed always gets to choose the course and (I think) inevitably chose the R one. Kind of a weird sport but it was fun to watch.
"Anyone who watched the event (men or women) could not help but notice that boarder on red *rather than blue) course always won (so long as he/she didn't crash)."
Nonsense, as soon as the tv commentator said this, the guy riding the blue course won. Also, you might get an argument from Lee, the silver medalist who was "stuck" with the blue course at much of the time.
Or not. Quoting Mr. Lee: "Those who don't know alpine snowboarding would have also noticed that there's a big difference between riding the red and the blue courses," Lee said. "I was riding on the blue course at the semifinals, and I had no choice."
For the finals -- which are contested in a head-to-head knockout format -- the snowboarder with best qualified time can choose their starting lane. Lee was the third best qualifier to join the finals -- open only to the top 16 performers -- and performed on the red course until the semifinals where he met Kosir, who finished second place in the qualifying runs.

My favorite old Onion “headline”:
“Roadkill squirrel remembered: as frantic; indecisive.”
I didn't say there was no difference, and I didn't use the phrase "always won."
Bruce, that's just offal.
The athletes from North Korea saw the squirrel and could not believe the abundance of food available.
The Germans have a word for this.
CWJ, I should not have said "always" but seemd that way when watching the women.
BTW, at time I watched I didn't think Lee won his semi-final and couldn't believe that the announcers just ignored the issue. Kosir was obviously visibly upset when they showed the replay. I watched it several times in slo-mo and could not figure out where and how Lee supposedly won.

Virgil Hilts:
Roy Jones, Jr., says "Yep, that's the Olympics in Korea."
How many points do you get for hitting the squirrel?
Highlight of the Olympics for me.
Like the Dem i telligence squirrel.
Skiers have no deal with the squirrels.
Great concentration on the part of the snowboarder. She did not even twitch.
The Godfather: "How many points do you get for hitting the squirrel?"
Death-Board Race 2020
Imagine the hoo-ha had the squirrel been hit.
They dropped the Democrat memo concerning the Steele dossier.......today........on Sunday.
Of course, the only thing they really need is the memo. It is heavily redacted, and I'm sure it is carefully crafted to spin the missing edits.
How many more squirrels work at NBC?
Yay!
You can tell that's South Korea, because in North Korea, that squirrel would be in a stew pot.
I blame the Russians.
