Is there anything such thing as a forgotten memory?
Is this like the memories I won't forget of that hotel room in the Catskills with dead flies in the plastic glasses they left for us? Where the toilet and bathtub stopped working with a couple of days left on our stay?
I feel numb.
I just rented my first Airbnb a few days ago for a week in April in DC. Whoever comes up with a better way to sort offerings will make a lot of money. I wanted to sort by proximity to public transportation and couldn't find a way to do that. Spent way too much time reading ridiculous descriptions of the offerings to see if they mentioned the Metro or bus.
I'm not sure if there is a word for memories that evaporate upon contact with time. Nonetheless, that's the story of my life--an unbroken series of banal moments. Maybe if I rented an AirBnB in Paris I could have my banal moments with a more memorable backdrop.......A memory you don't remember doesn't qualify as a memory. That's just st as well. The moments that stick with you on your weary journey generally involve sorrow and loss. Some exception is made for memories of hot sex, but mostly it's sorrow and loss.

If you forget it, then it was't really much of a memory, was it?

This search engine returns a fake result that's more impressive than google's fake result:

And my memories of that airBnB will last a lifetime! Especially the low ceilings!
To the non-pedantic this obviously means "Memories that will endure." As opposed to fleeting ones.

The worst memories are often the hardest to forget.

A house that allows you to forget certain memories of your choice would be quite lucrative.

My most memorable stay was at a flea-bitten hotel in London filled with drug heads, prostitutes, and gang members. I didn't sleep the whole night and got the **** of there with the first light of dawn.

If recall correctly (ha), some famous female presidential candidate made the phrase: "I don't recall" famous while under oath. I forget who she was.
I have a cottage next my house that I rent out to a tenant. He will be gone in March. My plan is turn it into a AirBnb this summer. A bit nervous about it.
You need a way to remember memories. Mnemories.
Unforgettable doesn't necessarily a good memory.
A memory that I won't forget? Does it come with a free gift? Does the apartment have frozen ice, too?

Recovered memories. There's that concept. Whenever you try to remember things, you're pulling up memories that, I guess, have settled in and are not constantly present in your consciousness, so I guess it can make sense to say you'll be making "memories you won't forget." But that's frightening. It would take something awful to have that quality. Pleasant memories of hanging around in a house, maybe eating and having conversation and sex or something like that would not be the sort of memory that stays on the surface of your thoughts continually. I think the writer just meant normal memories, the kind you have to pull up to think about, in which case, it's a redundancy. It struck me as silly, but now you people have me thinking about torture and murder.

There are a lot of articles devoted to "how to forget a bad memory." So if you can forget a memory, meaning memories can be forgotten, then it follows there are "memories you won't forget"? Just saying maybe this phrase isn't too weird after all...
