"Fidel Castro’s eldest son, a bookish nuclear scientist, commits suicide."

WaPo reports.
The product of his father’s first marriage, to Mirta Diaz-Balart, Fidelito was a symbol of the complexities of the Cuban experience after the revolution. After an acrimonious divorce from Fidelito’s mother, his famous father kidnapped his young son while he was visiting him in Mexico, and after the boy’s mother had taken him to the land of Yankee imperialism – the United States.

"I refuse even to think that my son may sleep a single night under the same roof sheltering my most repulsive enemies and receive on his innocent cheeks the kisses of those miserable Judases,” the late Cuban leader wrote in a letter to his sister....

Fidelito was never viewed, experts say, as a potential replacement [for Fidel Castro].
According to one expert on Cuban government, Fidelito "had some physical resemblance to Fidel, but that was it.... He was never associated with the charisma that his father had."

Justin Trudeau is more in the image of his father.

Except for the weakness, of course.

Doomed to a sad life. Never living up to his Dad in other people's eyes. That would be a heavy burden.

Well, he was in no position to "live up to his dad." If he had been able to have some dissidents tortured and shot and a few gays imprisoned, it would have been a start.

Castro's daughter fled to the States in the 90's. I have not heard much about her since. She might simply want to be left alone, like Stalin's daughter did, but I also suspect it's an uncomfortable story for some journalists. Why on earth would Castro's daughter ever want to leave a country with universal health care and free education to come to this capitalist shithole?

I think they're talking about Fidelito not plucking and slaughtering chickens in his NYC hotel room while visiting the UN, or maybe some similar charisma of Fidel's. Hard to say.

Meanwhile, his other son Justin Trudeau is helping Canada commit suicide.

How is a nuclear scientist even relevant in Cuba? Oh, thanks to Wikipedia I see back in the 80's they were planning a plant before the USSR collapsed. Then it was killed.

He got a gimme degree in Russia to go along with a sinecure job with the plant. More info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fidel_Castro_D%C3%ADaz-Balart

The correct term is "turd-world countries." Look it up.

I'll believe the claim of suicide when there's an autopsy performed by someone who Raul Castro can't order executed.

In other news, Raul Castro was originally scheduled to surrender the office of President later this month, but recently made a declaration he would delay leaving.

"[T]he complexities of the Cuban experience after the revolution....." Complexities? A bunch of Commie goons took over, jailed and/or killed heretics and dissidents and impoverished everyone remaining but members of the nomenklatura (such as it is in Cuba). What's complex about that? The same course of events takes place everywhere Commie goons take over. Poor Fidelito. His father ruined his son's life along with so many others. At least U.S. Border Patrol agents didn't do the kidnapping at gunpoint to reunite Fidelito with his family.
