From "Harvey Weinstein Harassment Claims Put Obamas, Clintons in Tough Spot" (Hollywood Reporter).
That links to an Intercept piece from October 7, 2016, "HARVEY WEINSTEIN URGED CLINTON CAMPAIGN TO SILENCE SANDERS’S BLACK LIVES MATTER MESSAGE":
HACKED EMAILS SHOW that movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, a longtime ally of Hillary Clinton and a major fundraiser for her 2016 campaign, urged her campaign team to silence rival Bernie Sanders’s message against police shootings of African-Americans. He suggested countering it with “the Sandy Hook issue” — a reference to Sanders’s opposition to lawsuits against gun manufacturers.

The lawsuit issue -- Sanders was clearly right. If you can successfully sue gun manufacturers when one of its guns is used in a shooting, the simple effect will be to put them all out of business and de facto ban guns. Hillary knows that.
Harvey did not try to coax a massage out of Bernie Sanders, I bet. Harvey only harassed young women, not old men. Ageist and Sexist!
I was just wondering, if anybody at the Althouse blog has heard this news about Harvey Weinstein?
I've been listening to Rush Limbaugh today. He's devoted an hour and a half so far to Harvey Weinstein, and is still going strong on it right now.
"the Clinton campaign helped prepare Weinstein for the interview"
"Now, Harvey, don't take it out during the interview, don't ask her to touch it, and don't look at her crotch"
Oh no, now the Clintons will have explain their support for a sexual predator.
So, the usual spot for them.
Look, over there, at that other topic!
I can just picture Diogenes walking around the DNC convention looking for an honest man...
Good lord, this Weinstein thing keeps growing like a giant toxic waste spill. It's destructive effects are reverberating throughout the top echelons of the Democrat party.
Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein’s lawyer delivered $10,000 to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr. in 2015, in the months after Vance’s office decided not to prosecute Weinstein over sexual assault allegations, according to an International Business Times review of campaign finance documents. That contribution from attorney David Boies --- who previously headlined a fundraiser for Vance — was a fraction of the more than $182,000 that Boies, his son and his law partners have delivered to the Democrat during his political career.
(from here)
...it just keeps growing and growing

Do you really have to explain your support for a sexual predator when you are a rapist yourself?
Another serious reason to not like Hillary Clinton.
Her husband was (1): a serial adulterer, (2) an admitted sexual harasser (paid Paula Jones $850K to settle a civil suit) and (3) likely rapist (see Juanita Broadrick).
Hillary's response? Stay with him and run for Office herself.
High level enablers are not impressive.

I won't matter. For reasons that are beyond me, the Democrats have women like they have African-Americans.
More importantly, how will this effect Hillary's book tour ?

The democrat party/progressive movement is just a throwback to a more primitive politics of tribalism spoils and spoils. There is nothing new or progressive about anything on the left. It is about power and the worship of power.
There was a high risk that confusion with BLM, Baby Lives Matter, would spread a deplorable narrative.
Has he said it's "old news" yet? The vast right-wing conspiracy line was a hoot. Now we all get to tweak his nose while he sits in the stocks.

Perhaps. Personally I have no idea what's going to happen. At one point I thought I felt I had a pretty good idea about what the future may hold. These past few years have enlightened my to the fact that I pretty much have no idea.
Ever since the election of Donald Trump, among conservative commentators there's been this hopeful fantasy about the complete and utter collapse of the Democrat party under the weight of all this electoral evisceration and exposed corruption. By default I tend to believe they're being far to optimistic... they're probably just wishcasting.
But after scandal after scandal, just the most recent being Susan Rice unmasking, the investigation of Dem IT head Imran Awan, and now the Weinstocalypse... it makes you wonder if there is a breaking point, where people finally start to hold the Democrat party accountable for all the bad things their top people do in the same way they currently hold the GOP accountable. I'd like to believe that's possible and not just wishful thinking.
You know if the Democrat Pary lost its financing from:
1. Public employee unions (See Janus v. AFSCME)
2. Hollywood sexual harrassing moguls (See Harvey Weinstein).
... that would be really, really, really bad.
Just sayin'
So did he ask them to take a knee while servicing him on account of he is so woke?
"You know if the Democrat Pary lost its financing"
Both of those sources are penny-ante.
Most of their politics is funded by tycoons like Tom Steyer (and moreso I think his clients) and a horde of lawyers.
"Proven leader?" Has Hillary ever accomplished something notable?
The Hollywood thing is significant not because of the money they contribute to politics, but because of the publicity value of the high-profile people whose doings saturate the media, plus the cultural messaging they control.
Steyer is huge, yes, but you also gotta look at PACs, where AFSCME is huge.

Add:
3. Trial lawyers (See tort reform, Republican attorneys general, Republican federal judicial nominations, Republican legislation.)
4. Teachers unions (See Dick and Betsy DeVos.)
Hacked emails???
Damn those Russians!
Ol' Harv says: It's a right wing conspiracy, haha!
"'Nobody is claiming that the New York Times spent any money to get this story done but other organisations may have done.
'There are are conservative organisations who know he is long-time foe of the NRA, of Donald Trump, and a longtime supporter of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and the Democrats.
'He believes they are financing a team of lawyers who are digging up these stories.
'There's a political agenda behind this. Harvey feels it's a conspiracy and that's the most interesting part of this, where it originated from, not the erroneous reporting that's going on.
'He won't be the last, other people like him will be targeted too.'"

Hollywood starlets should file for a restraining order against Harvey's schlong.
Also, it's very poor etiquette to come out of a shower, dripping wet, without a towel, and asking your intern if she would like a massage.
This societal faux pas is magnified twofold if you are a hairy fat man.
That you are rich does not wash away this poor visual.
Democrats have always been the biggest bigots in the country.
Has anyone else coined "Pervey Weinstein" yet?
"the Clinton campaign helped prepare Weinstein for the interview"
They likely used the PowerPoint presentation they’d just given to Anthony Weiner.
I think the file name is Naughty_Bill_9.2.
""Proven leader?" Has Hillary ever accomplished something notable?"
I know. Lines like that always jump out at me.
Name one, damn thing the woman actually accomplished.
One. Thing.

I think we're still in the "Republicans pounce" phase.
Next week it'll be old news.
The week after that it'll be "at this point what difference does it make" territory.
And forever after that Harvey'll just be "some guy I knew from the block."
Wash, rinse, repeat.
Didn't Whoopi Goldberg explain to us the difference between "rape-rape" and the other thing, I guess, "non-rape rape," which is what in her view, Roman Polanski did?
Roman Polanski
Harvey Weinstein
Bill Cosby
Bill Clinton
Hmm. One is an isolated incident, two is a coincidence, three is a pattern, four is a conspiracy - something like that.
Why is Leftwing Democrat Hollywood such a cesspool of rapists?
Woman reporter's story .(Includes weak obligatory reference to Trump)
Bully Weinstein
How long will those hacked emails keep paying dividends?
Has Hillary ever accomplished something notable?
Yeah. Jimmy Carter put her in charge of this National fund that provided the money for legal assistance for poor people and she distributed it to middle class Lefties that were fighting the good fight without paychecks. Drained the whole damn thing. And she also came up with the idea of not giving bullets to the armed guards in Benghazi. That's why US military contractors didn't respond to those RFPs.
I am surprised it came out in the news media. I found discussion online from 2013, of how Harv helped starlets become stars, if they slept with him.
If there was such a team existed on the GOP side, it would be front page news. GOP/Trump leeks like a sieve.
>Ol' Harv says: It's a right wing conspiracy, haha!
Gut Feeling, but the Black Racism Gig is going to stop working soon. It's one thing to claim Whites have all the power, but what happens when Whites are no longer the majority? Or when inter-marriage makes the term White, a meaningless term.
Why would this reality ever matter? A core tenet of their current position is that blacks can't be racist because they have no power. Yet millions of blacks have power over tens if not hundreds of millions of whites. The left has agreed to act as if whatever supports their argument is true. Reality is completely irrelevant.
Weinstein has discredited feminist theory forever.
The left may still try to say it is valid but Bill Clinton and now Weinstein show it is and has always been bullshit.
Ralph Nader called bullshit years ago by saying NOW was only a fund raising outfit,
Weinstein's bloviating lawyer speaks:
"The New York Times published today a story that is saturated with false and defamatory statements about Harvey Weinstein. It relies on mostly hearsay accounts and a faulty report, apparently stolen from an employee personnel file, which has been debunked by 9 different eyewitnesses. We sent the Times the facts and evidence, but they ignored it and rushed to publish. We are preparing the lawsuit now. All proceeds will be donated to women’s organizations.”
If you charge $950/hour, you don't mind offering pointless twaddle like this.
gross proggy corrupt sexual women abusing nightmares attract.
