I am moving my political consultancy to Madison, WI as it is becoming a top place to live.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/05/your-money/the-best-places-to-move-in-retirement-theyre-all-over-the-map.html

If I move before 2018, then in 2020, I will help Warren, Warner, Kamala Harris, Booker, or Chris Murphy defeat Trump.

Splendid! :-)

AP, if you're moving to Madison, shouldn't you be setting your sights a bit lower? Like turning Wisconsin blue again?

Given your proven expertise in predicting the 2016 election, we conservatives in the Badger State look forward to your arrival.

I love tulips.

"I love tulips."

Often, tulips are done badly. People don't plant enough of them, and their just isolated lollipops. Blecchh.

Ann Althouse ayon kay ...

Meade has planted a lot of bulbs, but no tulips. Here, it's: 1. Allium, 2. Grape Hyacinth, 2. Iris. Lotsa purple. He specialized in purple because he knows I like purple and he knows purple was my mother's favorite color. One thing about Meade is: He loves my mother, even though she died a decade before he met me.

Comey firing must be a big deal if Eurovision Song Contest bumped from top trending on twitter.

I planted a lot of them, but I am pretty sure the squirrels take more than their share.

We were looking at Hawaii, Kona or Hilo.
Its quite cheap to buy there, though electricity/gas/groceries are expensive.
There is no such thing as winter however, a great plus.

No opinion if it is a good place for political consultancies, but should be very fine for gardening.

Hey, anybody who's on the UW-Madison campus, be careful!

Cool and rainy in Tucson. We bought some nice flowering Cactus the other day. I like to see what the flowers look like when I buy them.

Worked all day today, then took a nap after getting home. Woke up from the nap to the pleasant news of Comey's firing.

My daughter is in England this week and I'll have to ask her opinion when she gets back.

No tulips here. The deer eat all of them.

Tons of daffodils though, since deer don't eat them.\

One of the very few flowers that deer don't eat, alas!

Hmmmm.....America's Politico is commenting here in a year not evenly divisible by four. It's good to see that his English still trends to the pidgin.

Such lovely photographs!

I hate to sully this beauty, but the Indonesian court handed out a two-year prison sentence for blasphemy to the ousted Jakarta governor (this for contesting the Muslim claim that Muslims can't vote for non-Muslim politicians):

NOT a good day for Indonesia. Sadly, 70% of the electorate approved of Purnama's performance in office, but indeed, the Muslims did not vote for him.

And now two years in prison. The prosecutor asked for a suspended one-year term, but the judge did not agree. ...

If you ever get the chance, I can't recommmend highly enough a carefully scheduled trip in April to the Netherlands, just outside of The Hague, to a place called Keukenhof Tulip Gardens. It is a park/museum for the tulip growers and contains around 11 million bulbs.

Google it to see pics. The place is special.

Big Mike ayon kay ...

If you want to see tulips go to Keukenhof Gardens, near Lisse in the Netherlands. It's where Dutch tulip growers show to the public, and to each other every spring. You couldn't want them planted more densely, Meade and Althouse.

Oh Good God, Quayle. How'd I overlook your comment?

Lovely flowers - reminds me of a funny joke my girlfriend in College told. "What's better than white roses on the piano"?

"Tulips on the organ"

Yeah, she was Dutch.

Too many martinis?

Or too few.

I can never figure out whether he is some kind of Baghdad Bob type parody account or, sadly, sincere.

CNN has been fully hysterical on this. Toobin one of the worst.

I mentioned this before , but here is the same thing in a different article.
