"Foxler claims he’s not trying to evoke Hitler, never mind his name (a combination of “Fox” and his supposed surname “Miller”), his Nazi-like armband (he says is based on a character in an old video game), or pictures of him throwing his arm up in a Nazi-like salute (an accident, he said).... Fascist furries are nothing new, but until recently, 'they were rare individuals who were more interested in uniform fetish than espousing Nazi ideology,' Deo, another furry told The Daily Beast. But the rise of the alt-right has ushered in the #AltFurry, a hashtag under which right-leaning furries can organize, and the uninitiated can encounter more cartoon rabbits in Nazi uniform than they possibly expected to see in their lifetimes...."
The Daily Beast is keeping up with things that might matter in "Neo-Nazis Are Tearing the Furry World Apart."

I don't understand the "I am making a new tag for this" tag if there is not indeed a new tag.
The Furry people of the world have diverse subgroups. That's good right? Or are we all supposed to think the same way?
Once Nazi is a gender orientation the offense will calm down.
"I don't understand the "I am making a new tag for this" tag if there is not indeed a new tag."
When I make a new tag, I then go back and add it where I can see that it would fit.
"Furry" was a new tag, and a found an old post or 2 and added it retrospectively.
Nazis should have their own pronouns.
Didn't some random woman just take her dog to a furry convention thinking it was for pets?
Probably there were many pussy hats.
Ah. I understand.
Colorado furry Nazis. I hate Colorado furry Nazis.
I think I read that book
One of the weird things about human beings denying our own humanity is that we start acting worse than animals.
Is there a cultural appropriation issue here?
Why is typical furry drama making headlines.
I don't know any furries or transgendered people. Which population is larger? How do furries go to the bathroom? Do they need a separate changing room to get out of their outfit before taking a leak? Will this be the next big progressive issue?.......I've heard that there is a sexual component to this. If so, this has got be the most childlike form of decadence ever practiced. Wouldn't the outfit impede matters?......It's good to see that they're being infiltrated by Nazis. A fetish without evil is like an egg without salt.
'Cause there's nothing that says "I'm a virile & manly Aryan" like dressing up in an animal costume.
@William,
How do furries go to the bathroom?
Does a furry shit in the woods?
"Stronger Together" sounds like a fascist slogan to me. So does a penchant for ordering companies to do the bidding of a certain political party, and that political party doing the bidding of certain companies owned by famous billionaires.
The Democrats have gone all out to redefine corporatism, which is a word fascists used to describe a country as if it were a body, or corpus, I guess, organized as such, you know, like in that speech Hillary gave.
Mussolini, when he claimed to despise liberals, was talking about classical liberals, you know, free market types. Hitler and Mussolini both would be more comfortable in the Democrat Party than the Republican one.
The think I hate them for the most was using that stupid recent Star Trek move to push Hillary, and so they turned The Federation fascist "You can nae break a stick when it's in a bundle!" - Scotty refers to the actual symbol of fascism, a bundle of sticks, because, you know, they are "stronger together."
This is a pattern you see in a lot of subcultures:
0) Some people have no interest in the activity, or don't know it exists.
1) Some people dabble in an activity because they find it interesting.
2) Some people want to build a social life around that activity, because they feel more at home in the subculture.
3) Some people want to organize the subculture and become important in it.
4) Some people want to schism existing organizations, because they feel they aren't important enough in the existing structure.
5) Some people want to schism until their personal splinter group reflects every single way they are different from the mass of humanity.
It doesn't matter what the activity is -- you'll see the same dynamic in everything from comic book fandom to intersectional feminism.
Every level thinks that people on the next level are weird and intense, while people at the last level are boring and square.
Everybody in this article is at level 3, 4, or 5.
But . . . but why a fox? Shouldn't it be a German Shepherd or a Doberman or something?
I was so sad when I first found out about furries. Ruined mascots and Chuck E Cheese for me.
