"Russian artist Nikita Golubev has been turning other people's unwashed vehicles into works of art."

"Using the name 'ProBoyNick' he has drawn various designs in Moscow for the past two weeks and sharing his work online."

Love it. Best use of Instagram I've ever seen.

If he were here in the US, he could sue the owner in order to prevent the washing of vehicle. Isn't that how it works?

Legally, it might be tougher because he is taking off dirt in order to create the image as opposed to adding paint.

Wow! You'd never be able wash it now! I wonder if some are letting their vehicles accumulate filth in hopes they'll get picked for a Nik-sterpiece.

Agree, this is awesome! He should come to GA where we've been covered in pollen for about a month now. Bonus- yellow pigment!

In Russia, I surmise he has many canvasses.

I hope the vehicle owners appreciate the scratched paint, it'll preserve a ghost of the "art" for years.

Loved his "Wash Me" period.

Fantastic talent. But his gift is complicated: does the owner feel OK destroying the art at the next wash cycle? Was that destruction not contemplated and consented to by the artist, saying implicitly "This is mine but it is also yours, and is doomed to return to dust in a few weeks. That is not just allowed, it is part of the sting of transience that makes the art work."

Yeah, I liked his "Scientific experiment, do not wash" phase.

Imagine the shock when the unwary owner is confronted with a giant squid when he opens the back of the truck.

That is awesome. Inspired use of dirt. Politically neutral. Environmentally friendly. Washes off with a little water.

I am sure the truck owner was delighted.

It's much nicer than the old "wash me."

"wash me" still has legs, but can be an emotional trigger. Sort of a "kick-me" sign.
