Chuck Norris always seems to kill off the love interest. It's a sad life being an action hero but at least you always have motivation to get the bad guys.

Invasion USA (1985) in addition may be assembled out of more than one flick from the cutting room floor, I'd guess.

The high point was a fight in an office complex made of the cheapest home depot materials available.

Suspense is supplied entirely by scary music. There's no plot.

The fate of the alligator is unknown.

I'm reminded of a Captain Video episode as a kid, a long sequence drifting in space, where the lighting let you see the floor and cables running across it.

I'm glad she didn't die of a drug overdose.

We have had workmen replacing windows and doors since yesterday.

Almost livable again.

We watched the finale of "Feud" last night. Susan Sarandon deserves a Golden Globe for that mini-series. The writer(s) as well.

The public is largely unaware of the intense debates within climate science. At a recent national laboratory meeting, I observed more than 100 active government and university researchers challenge one another as they strove to separate human impacts from the climate’s natural variability. At issue were not nuances but fundamental aspects of our understanding, such as the apparent—and unexpected—slowing of global sea level rise over the past two decades. - Wall Street Journal

Gee, I wonder why that is? It couldn't be because reporters are either partisan hacks with an agenda or scientifically illiterate, or, most likely both?

I saw this story the other day and it made me smile:

Three ISIS fighters 'are killed by rampaging wild BOARS' near Iraqi farmland

Three Islamic State jihadis have reportedly been killed by rampaging wild boars near Iraqi farmland.

The three Islamic State militants were cut down by the feral boar known to inhabit Kirkuk in the the al-Rashad region, a local news site claims.

They attacked the militants and left three killed, Iraqi News reports.

It appears that their Allah has a sense of humor, even if they don't.  Scratch three orcs.
