Islam needs to be reformed. That's what needs to be done.

The Muslims need to end their illegal occupation of Constantinople give the territory back to the Byzantines who rightfully own it.

The left is so blind to the danger of Islam - ironically their "lifestyles" are much greater contributors to what alienates Islam than anything on the right, but they refuse to see that.

The right is so blind to the danger of interfering in other countries civil wars.

Why did Constantinople get the works? It's nobody's business but the Turks.

The wife was safe, but Mr. Mousallem, who had jumped into the Bosporus to escape the killer, was dead.

Stay with your wife.

I ran right into a paywall even though this is my first article of the new month. I'm not giving the NYT a nickel.

David,

Islam has been reformed; this is the result.

"The left is so blind..."

This is Turkey. The "left/right" thing doesn't fit. I think "Hobbesian war of all against all" is closer.

A major goal of any terrorist organization is to show the general population that the Government can't protect them. The only way for the populace to survive is to cooperate with the terrorists, thus bringing about a change of chains for the people.

This Turk dude is honest. He declares there is no such thing as Moderate Islam. There is only Islam, and that Islam is proud to be a cover story that god commands them to steal kill and enslave the world using Mohammed's Manual of Operation.

According to The Religion of Peace website, 141 people killed by Islamists in the last week of December. I think that excludes Chicago.

Paco,
That was a general comment about Islam, terrorism, and it's impact on the west.

Social justice adventurism, progressive wars, and immigration "reform" have consequences.

I'm confident Islam's free ride will end the minute Trump is sworn.

Oh, there's plenty of life left in Istanbul. Teeming shitholes are an Islamic specialty.

Another consequence of George Bush's crusade in destabilization sold as nation building.

One of the great things about Saudi Arabia and Jordan, is they don't let terrorists out after serving a jail time.

In most cases, they are put to death.

This was how Egypt lost its way. The terrorists got out of jail, and then they were ten times worse, as far as negative effect on their society.

Now in Egypt, Syria, and Lebanon, violence is the new normal. It makes sense that it would drift north and consume the Turks, who have been ejecting and making life miserable for Christians.

The worst thing you can do to your country is to create an Islamic state, and not have a vigorous death penalty being performed each week.

@A Reasonable Man - You are right! Eisenhower should have kept us out of Korea, Nixon should never have committed troops to Vietnam, and Bush shouldn't have toppled Qaddafi in Libya.
