Christmas lights in the snow.

DSC04604

I noticed the time of the first deck-snow pic of the morning, but not this one. Maybe 7 a.m.

I love the way some of the lights are inside the snow and some are out of it.

All lights are not created equal. Like stars, some are brighter than others. And LaAlthouse is the brightest light of them all.

Since retiring alt-weiner has been sending out nothing but "deck-pics".

Do we call Meade alt-huma?

Ann Althouse म्हणाले...

Deck pics. LOL.

Meade म्हणाले...

Don't worry, he'll be over soon, lemondog.

Some lights come out...others not so much.

Has the NYT done a story on the effect of Donald Trump on holiday lights ?

Great picture. I am glad you are taking the time to re-appreciate simple things as you complete your altexit.

You will have much more time for marveling at simple beauty as your days take on a new pace and rhythm driven by your own interests.

I hope you have a big stack of notebooks and a few more of those fancy ink pens at the ready…

Merry Christmas to you!!!

Seattle was graced by snow last week. Thankfully, it never sticks for more than a day, or two.

Unfortunately, the Seahawks lost to the Packers. I haven't seen 5 turn-overs in a game since high school, and who knows how many dropped passes. The team said they were looking forward to playing in the cold. The outcome said otherwise.

Six turnovers, mad. Six.

And sorry that the snow doesn't stick.

Really nice photo. Have not researched the issue/fix, and note that there are entire articles devoted to the issue, but its weird how hard it is to take decent photos of christmas lights.

More snow than I've seen here in a long time. Might get 3 or 4 inches every few years, but that is really rare.

It shuts this state the hell down, though. When we got one inch once, an EMT friend of mine mentioned how they had several hundred accidents in a radius of about 4 or 5 blocks in downtown Columbia.

We don't know what the hell to do with snow.

Here you go.

Not quite.

Step 12: pretend that he is Parson Brown.

Pretty lights. Nice picture.

I don't think we're allowed to do that anymore.

Lovely picture.

But what's that sitting on the roof of Zeus's house?

"But what's that sitting on the roof of Zeus's house?"

Attic roof vent.

Meade म्हणाले...

"I don't think we're allowed to do that anymore."

Okay, you're right, Butters.

David Baker म्हणाले...

Meade,

I thought as much, but from here it looked like a small dog up to his chest in snow. Of course, how did a small dog get up on Zeus's roof? I suspected a canine conspiracy.

But in the end, the obvious answer was the right answer.

...and I still marvel at LED lighting. Especially here in Florida, where every source of unwanted heat is an issue.

Do I really care who pays for the wall?

Do you believe James Clapper, our spook from central casting?

David Baker म्हणाले...

Maybe a poll: Do you believe (super-spook) James Clapper?

Who's more believable, Donald Trump or the CIA?

Would you rather have the "intelligence" community running the USA?

Why does the left want war with the Russians? And mosques for Al Qaeda.
