What is what's best in you? Your greatest skill or your greatest asset? If you are the best heart surgeon in the world and you can also make peace and bring calm to any situation, which is more important, the best in you? Cozy serape is a good name for a singer.
The other day I determined the best in an individual I was following was her exquisite ass. My invitation to a relationship didn't bring out the best in her, I can tell you that!
Gahrie said... Who wants to bet that all of this flies out the window and she turns into a typical SJW when someone mentions Trump to her?
Good question.

Ah here we go.
I don’t want to pay lip service to our ethical rule of eliciting the goodness in others and thereby in ourselves by engaging in the “toxic niceness” of simply accepting that they hold different opinions. This election is a tragic reminder that rights are never given; we must fight for them every day of our lives. It is time to roll up our sleeves and take to the streets; to employ every legal means available and every civil disobedience tool in our kits to right the wrongs that have already, and will continue to be, unleashed.
Just another hypocrite consumed by her own bigotry and hatred.
"I invite you, anti-Trump Democrat, into an ethical relationship with me, Trump voter, so we can reciprocally enjoy our common humanity." Will it take more than 30 seconds for the anti-Trumper to start screaming?

Now, I don't want to put words in this woman's mouth. She isn't a Buddhist, even if she's sort of aping the visual appearance of a Buddhist nun. What got lost long ago in all this Social Justice anger is the Christian sense of our inherent sinfulness & our need to forgive each other. Indeed, these SJW sorts were happy to kick that to the curb. But, what I do think the SJWs would rue is that they really seem to miss the boat on Buddhism, too. Buddhism is all about the renunciation of desire. And, yes, those desires to be renounced includes some fine weed, a good scrozzle with that mighty fine hunk (and/or babe), &, most especially, the desire to wring the neck of every Trump supporter you can get your hands on.
Almost all Ethical Culture people I've met or have heard of are "liberals" (And by "liberals" I mean of course "tax-happy, coercion-addicted, power-tripping government sniffers and State humpers.") I don't know what part of "act in ways to elicit the best in others" would cover statism; although I guess if you're a fan of rebellion, King George, for example, brought out the best in the American Colonists. Is that what she means?

In other words, say what is needed to get them in the back of the Van.
The White Van with No Windows in the Back.
Of COURSE they'll help you look for your lost puppy.
I am Laslo.
I didn't hear what she said as I was distracted by her earrings and cozy serape. She succeeded in eliciting my best feline instincts.
Odd that her cozy serape mimics clerical vestments. How secular is that ?

What if the "best" in others just isn't good enough?
Cozy Fan Tutte

Would be a good rule for elementary school teachers with their charges.
60 second sermon was 50 seconds too long.

They say you can't tell a book by its cover. But I didn't watch the video, anyway.

Ugh. Prophetess of failed humanism theology.

They say you can't tell a book by its cover.
You can tell a leftie by their dangle earrings and cozy serape.

Yes, that's what I was referencing. And the super-short 'do'. The self-proclaimed 'goddess' type.
Here's a thought, crazy old hippie lady. Why not just be polite to everyone you meet. You know. Like your mother taught you.
Saints deliver us.

Talk about your cultural appropriations! Does Pancho Villa know you have his pajamas?
Go Huskies! :-)
Too bad her philosophy doesn't include shutting up and going away.
I have known two saintly persons in my life, and neither had to preach about their innate and well-shared goodness.
She's wearing a serape so we can't see that she's patting herself on the back.
