About a dozen Muslim groups have accused Purnama of blasphemy after he jokingly said his opponents had used a verse from the Koran to deceive voters. The verse implies that Muslims should not choose non-Muslims as leaders.

"He is not Muslim but he humiliated the Koran," said one of Friday's protesters, Muhammad Said. "Don't refer to anything in the Koran, especially interpreting it incorrectly ... I call on God to jail him."

Note that given the parameters stated, it is impossible for any non-Muslim to engage in political debate once the Koran or the Prophet has been invoked, because disagreement equates to insulting the Prophet or the Koran. Death offenses.

But according to SPLC, pointing this out makes me a terrorist. That's why I am voting for Trump. That's why Ann should vote for Trump, esp. after the "lovely man"'s invocation of all those dog whistles in NC.

I'm sort of curious to know whether the Islamic rule against art depicting people extends to consumer goods. Because a world where there is no Quaker Oats guy or Aunt Jemima or Colonel Sanders or Betty Crocker certainly has its up side.

Strange thing is I was never all that crazy about cream of wheat when I was a kid but I liked it, nevertheless, and probably because I thought that the cream of wheat guy was interesting.

Haven't eaten the substance in 45 years.

He's not all that interesting.
