Why is it PC to call all people with Black ancestry "African-American," but racist and offensive to call anyone with Mexican ancestry "Mexican-American"?
At the table today we had to say what each person was thankful for. This year We were thankful for Trump and Conway winning the Great Media War and for Althouse, and Meade for explaining what happened.
Other answers included Mother Theresa, modern medicine in several forms and a singer the adults had never heard of.
The CEO of reddit edited user posts that were critical of him (said "fuck u/spez", spez is his username). He edited out his username and put in the usernames of The_Donald subreddit's mods instead.
How do you get the to level of CEO and think that shadow editing is a good idea?
My extended family is spending the holiday in Maine. The view from Nubble Road on Cape Neddick towards York harbor is very similar to your gray day. That is, as long as you don't glance east towards Spain.
I like the spelling "grey" because it expresses the meaning better. The letter "a" looks happier to me — maybe just because of my name — and "e" looks dreary.

The ROP has a new tactic in Israel, too.

A great day to be with my family--for which I am profoundly thankful.
In many other ways, it's a grey day for most of us. Tough to remember that one needs to keep on the sunny side of life.

@Althouse, Happy Thanksgiving to you and Meade.
Mary Beth -- my husband and I were very entertained by discussing that story; our theory is that alcohol must have been involved.
Happy Thanksgiving. We are doing well and there is still some Champagne left.
Moe optimistic than I thought I would be.

"Alright, you had your meal. We spent time together. We caught up. Now get out."
I always thought it was "Grey" but googling I found that is the UK preference. Which is funny, because I'm 'murican.
Fantastic new video by OK Go with the backstory. They are amazingly talented.
The One Moment
At the table today we had to say what each person was thankful for.
I said that I was thankful that for the first time since 1980, no Bush or Clinton held high office.
" "Suicide truck bomb kills about 100 in Iraq, mostly Iranian pilgrims."
Doesn't get much grayer than that. We're absurdly fortunate to live in the time and place that we do. Freakishly fortunate.
Florence Henderson is dead.
Mrs. Brady wasn't my Mom, but I'm pretty sure she was the mother of a very close friend.
Grey!?!?!?
Obviously, Mr. Ocean doesn't know which ocean washes on his shore!!! cuz it's spelled gray!

Life is grand in that 20 mile madison bubble. Nature, a great pension plan and the NYT. Nirvana
