B_____ C_____. I cheated and right clicked to do a google image search and then narrowed it down to Colorado sculpture, since it looked like CO. Took about 30 seconds. The internet takes all of the fun out of contests.

Shmoos?

"B_____ C_____."

Not correct.

But I did think a Google image search on that would work.

A couple of those white things look like Mickey Mouse logos and others are mildly phallic. Were you at Adult Disney?

"Shmoos?"

Ha.

Is it a fungus? Or an insect nest? This one is too hard.

The white things look globular in nature -- like they are suppose to repesent proteins.

You should've known it wasn't Beaver Creek since nobody goes to Beaver Creek because it's so crowded.

Found an interesting article about that sculpture being built.

Michael K dates himself as the only person commenting here so far today who is older than me, lol

Al Capp probably contributed more to Americana in his day than any other other single person..

When we fought the Yankees and annihilation was near,
Who was there to lead the charge that took us safe to the rear?
Why it was Jubilation T. Cornpone;
Old "Toot your own horn - pone."
Jubilation T. Cornpone, a man who knew no fear!

When we almost had 'em but the issue still was in doubt,
Who suggested the retreat that turned it into a rout?
Why it was Jubilation T. Cornpone;
Old "Tattered and torn - pone."
Jubilation T. Cornpone, he kept us hidin' out!

With our ammunition gone and faced with utter defeat,
Who was it that burned the crops and left us nothing to eat?
Why it was Jubilation T. Cornpone;
Old "September Morn - pone."
Jubilation T. Cornpone, the pants blown off his seat!

Thanks!

We liked the sculpture a lot. I hate so much of "public art" sculptures. This one was excellent! It's big, like a tree.

I blogged about shmoos back in 2011, here.
