"In the middle of her speech in Philadelphia, angry attendees began to chant, 'Shame! Shame! Shame!'... 'We know that the voices in this room that are standing up and being disruptive, we know that is not the Florida that we know,' said Wasserman Schultz, who quickly exited after brief remarks."

She's not quick on her feet.
I'm afraid I don't understand how it became news that DWS is in the tank for Ms. Rodham. I thought we all knew that already.
She really brings nothing to the table. Well, maybe she fundraises well or something. But she presided over major losses for the Dems, and cannot speak publicly to save her life. The one "triumph" during her tenure was Obama's reelection, and far as I can tell that had more to do with his own campaign team than the DNC.
Publicly, she [Debbie Wasserman Schultz] is not a nice person. These emails appear to show her public persona is no act...
"In the middle of her speech in Philadelphia, angry attendees began to chant, 'Shame! Shame! Shame!'.
Her job qualification is her willingness to make stupid comments in public. That suggests her susceptibility to shame is low.
The video's are brutal. Like Scarborough said this morning; it'd be political malpractice to let her on stage to gavel in the convention.
Since this is Hillary's convention, I look forward to seeing her on stage. Who cares about the little people.
Rube awakenings all over the place.
"I'm afraid I don't understand how it became news that DWS is in the tank for Ms. Rodham. I thought we all knew that already."
Everyone knew it, everyone tolerated it, but once they had proof that she and her staffers were brazen enough to be open about it, it was too much.
Pass the popcorn.
She knows that what is happening right before her eyes is not what she knows she knows.
Why are you so surprised? This describes the Left for the past 100 years......
Those were Russian Agents chanting against the Hillary surrogate. Manafort imports them at a reduced rate.
Now if Jill Stein can get Bernie to run on the Greens ticket, then it will be over.
It's time for football anyway.
Off topic: unmoderated remarks again at Rex Parker for the next week and the place is alive! If only those bloggers who moderate remarks would learn from you.
Seriously, Hillary has been exposed as a corrupt old hag with no talent except taking bribes. It's the Trump Effect.
The question today is whether it is too late for Kaine to withdraw and save his Senate seat. At least he is a NICE man
Doesn't DWS have a job...like being a Rep for Florida? Why don't those people feel shafted when she does ANYTHING but her job? No sitting senator or representative should be serving in any national party positions.
@traditionalguy, take it from a Virginian -- Kaine is not a nice guy and it was getting to be too late for Kaine to save his Senate seat even before accepting a place as Hillary Clinton's running mate.
Little does she know
that I know that she knows
That I know she's two-timin' me
Little does she know
that I know that she knows
That I know she's cheatin' on me
When she finished her laundry
she was all in a quandary
And made it for the street like a hare
Her escape was so urgent,
she forgot her detergent
And dropped all her clean underwear
- The Kursaal Flyers, 1976
Too bad it is too late for her to be Cantored.
What she knows is what she knows, and because she is who she is, what she knows is what must be true.
Enough mushrooms, and it all makes sense.
". . . in Philadelphia, angry attendees began to chant, 'Shame! Shame! Shame!'... "
Those security guards are in really hot water. Imagine, allowing Trump supporters into the Dem convention!

Granted :) But still...
"Why don't those people feel shafted when she does ANYTHING but her job? No sitting senator or representative should be serving in any national party positions." You seem to assume her job involves work.
Don't be so rough on Blabbermouth Schultz; she is not responsible for what she says and does.
Those who elected her to office now ...

I can't seem to pull the link up-
It's on Instapundit's twitter feed.
Maybe the RNC Chair should come help her keep her convention in order.

I thought the more amusing bit from the Dem Convention was all the Bernie supporters chanting:
"Lock Her Up!!!"
I love how they talk to the Florida delegates like they're rowdy fourth-graders.
My dream is this:
Bernie gets up on the stage to give his carefully scripted speech and instead says:
"My fellow Americans. As you know, although I was a candidate for the Democrat nomination, I always remained an independent. I never joined the party and therefore have no obligation to support the party nominee."
I am hereby announcing that I have accepted Jill Stein's invitation to run for president on the Green Party ticket.
He can then yada-yada-yada until they cut his mike, if they have not already done so.

Why would that matter? They would be a freshman with no committee or party assignments and no power at all. In 2 years they will just barely learn to find their way to the cafeteria. Then turn them out and start anew.
Never re-elect anyone, from either party.
John Henry
Never re-elect anyone, from either party.
Then the un-elected party Establishments would really be in control.
Brit Hume and George Will had it right yesterday on Wallace's show. The DNC and the party knew it could not run Bernie against Trump and win and did what is expected of it. If DNC was hacked in 2008, they probably would have found that the party people favored Obama and how to get rid of Hillary. But Hillary graciously gave up and threw her support for Obama. Of course, the grumpy old man that is Bernie who has no chance of winning and governing and who is not even a Democrat has to bring down the party that he is not part of.
Breaking News:
Nate Silvers gives Trump a 57% chance of winning the Presidency.
Wow!
Hillary is going to have to break out her paddle to bring back party discipline!
This is the oldest political party in the oldest democracy and Hillary is the best they could do.
Of course we knew it, but without real proof in their leaders' own words, people who don't want to believe it could lie to themselves. They don't have that out anymore. Add them to the people too young and naive to think Democrats are who they really are suddenly learning something new, and you have yourself a revolt of the naive and the stubbornly stupid, which represents a majority of the Democratic Party.
"She knows that what is happening right before her eyes is not what she knows she knows."
Being able to out-wit your own lying eyes is a special progressive skill.

Didn't hot link it, so you could read the link yourselves. No wonder Hillary was "saddened" by the GOP delegates chanting "Lock her up!"
Sometimes America is really great.
As worried as I may be about the current state of affairs on the right, it's always nice to see how poorly things are going on the left as well (maybe even worse). As the level of dissatisfaction with the status quo continues its mad crescendo the level of weirdness seems to also increase.
"Why don't those people feel shafted when she does ANYTHING but her job? No sitting senator or representative should be serving in any national party positions."
I think traditionally the party chair is more ceremonial, as a way for a high-profile politician or functionary to raise money for the party more than actually managing the party apparatus. But I cant' see how it isn't a conflict of interest--it's not the same as say being party whip or other conference position, because then you're really just representing your caucus. A DNC or RNC head has to focus primarily on the party's success nationwide, while a congressman or senator has an obligation to represent and serve a specific constituency, and covering more than just their party. It really shouldn't be allowed.
@Bill, and the 538 "now" model gives Virginia and its 13 electoral votes to Hillary Clinton. I wouldn't bet on that happening.
Can you imagine what's going through the minds of the cops/security guys in Philly right now:
We thought there was gonna be a shitstorm in Cleveland, but, hey, there all the lefty crazies were outside of the convention hall. Here, we've got a bunch of crazies inside the hall! How we gonna tell 'em apart if we gotta start breakin' heads?
We're gonna need combat pay for this assignment.
It sounds like a Benghazi moment. I hope no one was aborted or sodomized.
Where's Shiloh? Hahaha!
Where are the cries about the Democrats being anti-Semitic?
Here is my concern.
What do Hillary and the DNC know that the rest of us don't?
Think about this. They've selected a candidate that has almost as bad polling as Trump. Negatives, I mean. She is being investigated or has been investigated by our DOJ. She doesn't give press conferences. It's an endless string of bad news for Hillary. Without any shame she will talk about income inequality while wearing a $12,000 coat. She laughs off questions by reporters.
And yet, they don't seem to care. It's like they know they've got this election in the bag and don't need to work for it.
Hillary is exposing her nastiness in a speech threatening war with China and Russia. Strange tactic. She is running as Bush III.
This can only mean the bribes from Wall Street were mighty big ones.
The Onion says that with Trump as President we will have nothing to fear except Donald Trump.
Sounds right.
But, in point of fact, aren't DWS wrongs exactly what the same as what the R establishment and the so called "Never Trumpers" wanted and sought to do on the Republican side? So shouldn't we be demanding their resignations too?
"What do Hillary and the DNC know that the rest of us don't?"

"So shouldn't we be demanding their resignations too?"
The answer is, of course, always. But not because of the reasons you list. The RNC wanted Bush to win, but it was clear how little power there was to force through this outcome. Trump winning showed that the RNC process actually works. If an outside candidate has enough momentum, that candidate can still win.
Not so in the DNC where the fix is always in.

Women voters are easy to fool, and they're easy to fool in predictable ways, which predictions are made, and the women participate in their own foolishness.
Males fail in the same way by being overly skeptical. It's a gender difference.
Skeptical is the better political mistake, so you don't want women voting, at least not in large scale elections.
"Nate Silvers gives Trump a 57% chance of winning the Presidency." Not quite; check the link. His preferred tab, Polls-Plus (http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/#plus) gives Trump a 42% chance. And Polls-Only is 46%. Still way way up from where it was.
How soothing to the Bernie Bros to see her lose the DNC chair then immediately land in the roll as Hillary's lap dog.

"But, in point of fact, aren't DWS wrongs exactly what the same as what the R establishment and the so called "Never Trumpers" wanted and sought to do on the Republican side? So shouldn't we be demanding their resignations too?"
The proper comparison is someone like Reince Preibus, who is in a position where he must support the party as a whole and not show bias between candidates in the primaries. Far as I can tell, he acted professionally (whatever he personally thinks of Trump, he has been publicly supportive and I don't know of anything he did to try and undermine or support him in the contest). Delegates are another matter--by nature they pick sides, or are required to serve who their state party rules direct, but they aren't supposed to be neutral.
"Nate Silvers gives Trump a 57% chance of winning the Presidency."
Silver's odds are going to bounce around a lot the rest of the year. His odds only count for a given point in time and will change as the polls change.
But, in point of fact, aren't DWS wrongs exactly what the same as what the R establishment and the so called "Never Trumpers" wanted and sought to do on the Republican side?
No, they’re not. The DNC and RNC each had a responsibility to try to manage their respective presidential contests in an impartial way. The DNC (as we saw by the emails that were leaked) was actively trying to help HRC at the expense of BS. There has been no evidence or credible allegations that the RNC did anything other than stay neutral during the presidential contest and then support the endorsed candidate.

Not so in the DNC where the fix is always in.
The RNC doesn't have the influence over the media that the DNC does. The media that influences the right, blogs, radio, fox news, doesn't have the ability to coordinate and spin stories like the left does.
The left has journolist. Their is a reason why all the headlines called Trump's speak "Dark" in some way. Coordination. The Republicans don't have this.
This is why Jeb Bush can spend so much and go nowhere.
And this is why Hillary can laugh through every scandal.
As for Nate Silver. I don't believe in polls until closer to the election.
I'm just trolling. The leftists favorite pollster shows Trump likely to win. That's got to give them heartburn.
Turns out that the $20 donations to Sanders don't get you into the convention:
Grumman, UBS, New York Life, Raytheon, Southern Company, Quicken Loans, Suntrust, Capital One, Metlife, State Farm, and 21st Century Fox.
It was not clear from the hacked emails whether any of those companies had purchased convention packages through their PACs.
High-dollar individual donors receive many of the same benefits as political action committees, but their contribution thresholds are even higher. Those who raise $1.25 million for the DNC, or donate $467,600 themselves, qualify for the top individual convention package, which includes six tickets to the meetings with Democratic policymakers.
She's a Twentieth Century Fox

Yeah--even if you hate Trump and think Paul Ryan and McConnell were "Vichy Republicans" for going along with him, no one (pro- or anti- Trump) can hold anything against Preibus. He's doing exactly what his job requires, being impartial in the primaries and doing what's necessary to support the nominee and the party at large in the general election. And he wasn't neglecting an elected position the way DWS did.
Many Dems are rightly calling for blood. It'd be the perfect coda if she got beat in her congressional primary (which I think is still coming up?).
Here is something I find interesting.
For months now I've been googling "2016 general election polls". That takes me to a Google page where about the fifth response down and the 2nd realclearpolitics link, takes me to the average polling between Clinton and Trump.
Today, I couldn't get there. Same Google words. Same set up on the Google page. But when I click on my now familiar link, it takes me to all of the polls for the election. What I mean is, state polls, polls that include Jill Stein and Johnson, etc. But not the polling average between just the two candidates.
I actually had to do some extra searching to find my page today and then, finally, I bookmarked it. And noticed Trump now leads the average with .2 percent.
Coincidence that today is the first time Google wouldn't take me where I wanted to go?
eric,
"And this is why Hillary can laugh through every scandal."
Like this?
"Madame Secretary, do you think you'll be indicted?"

Say what?
But, in point of fact, aren't DWS wrongs exactly what the same as what the R establishment and the so called "Never Trumpers" wanted and sought to do on the Republican side?
The GOP Establishment didn't try to hide it, or lie about it, and the RNC was strictly neutral, as he should be.
Re JZ:
"She knows that what is happening right before her eyes is not what she knows she knows."
Say what?
I think it's a play on Schultz observing a bunch of Floridians booing her, and claiming that "we know that is not the Florida that we know." She will not believe her lying eyes.
Although to be fair, there's no reason to believe moments like this -- protest marches, booing, etc. -- are actually representative of anything in particular. They're theatre, and there's a long history of political movements orchestrating theatrical moments to make themselves seem more important or more representative than they really are.
On the other hand, Sanders has, what, 1,800 delegates at the convention? That's a lot.
Thing that interests (and disappoints) me about the e-mails is how BM is avoiding stories about so called reporters coordinating their reporting with the DNC. Shameful behavior. Nothing we didn't already know but shameful none the less.
Although to be fair, there's no reason to believe moments like this -- protest marches, booing, etc. -- are actually representative of anything in particular.
It's not supposed to be representative. This is her own organization booing her.
Hillary must be losing a lot of sleep wondering whether and when her 33,000 deleted "personal" emails appear on Wikileaks.
Too bad DWS has bailed out completely. It would have made entertaining political television -- which is why she is not going to gavel in the convention. Instead we will have the mayor of Baltimore who ordered the Baltimore police to stand down while rioters torched part of the city, allegedly to protest the death of Freddie Gray. Will Wikileaks do another email dump to make things even more interesting? Stay tuned, as they say.
Re: Rick:
It's not supposed to be representative. This is her own organization booing her.
But if there's 100 people, and only 20 of them are booing, that doesn't mean the other 80 agree. Or disagree! It doesn't tell us anything one way or the other. It's just making a scene is all.
Well, the "Russians did it" explanation went nowhere, so the Dumbocrats are trying another explanation. Per Politico here is the lede:
"Hillary Clinton and her team aren’t thrilled that the head of the Democratic National Committee was forced out on the eve of the nominee’s coronation — but they aren’t exactly distraught to see Debbie Wasserman Schultz booted from the tent.
Several senior Democratic officials with ties to Hillary and Bill Clinton told POLITICO that campaign higher-ups have been trying to replace the oft-off-message Florida congresswoman from the start of Clinton’s campaign late last year."
"Hillary must be losing a lot of sleep wondering whether and when her 33,000 deleted "personal" emails appear on Wikileaks."
I'd hate to see anything hacked that harms national security or puts anyone at risk, but it would be glorious if someone released a smoking gun re: the Clinton Foundation--like an e-mail string that pretty clearly shows a major donor getting special treatment from State at Clinton's behest.
"She knows that what is happening right before her eyes is not what she knows she knows."
Say what?
It has to do with Women's ways of knowing
It really does help you to understand Hillary. If she were a man, she would be dismissed as batshit crazy.
"Several senior Democratic officials with ties to Hillary and Bill Clinton told POLITICO that campaign higher-ups have been trying to replace the oft-off-message Florida congresswoman from the start of Clinton’s campaign late last year."
I could believe that someone who favors competence would want DWS out of there, but the Clintons also favor blind loyalty and DWS has that. Losing her risks getting someone in place who doesn't march to their tune and have their back. Is Donna Brazile as reliable as DWS from that standpoint?
Several senior Democratic officials with ties to Hillary and Bill Clinton told POLITICO that campaign higher-ups have been trying to replace the oft-off-message Florida congresswoman from the start of Clinton’s campaign late last year." - Politico
And you know it's true because Politico vets their stories with the DNC before publishing in order to co-ordinate responses.
NEW YORK ― Politico acknowledged Sunday that it was a “mistake” for one of its top reporters to send the Democratic National Committee an advance copy of an article while emphasizing there were no substantive changes made to the piece prior to publication. - HuffPo

The BernieBoiz didn't take the condescension of that "real world" comment too well, did they? Hahaha!
I may be just a contrarian in this - but a wild Dem convention seems likely to be better for them than a boring, scripted meeting. Risky, but better. The audience loves drama.
Moments ago..OFA sticking to their preferred narrative:
Tens of thousands of American lives are lost to gun violence each year. But leaders in Congress have yet to act—and they just went on a seven-week recess without taking any steps to address our country's shameful gun violence epidemic.
Add your name if you agree that doing nothing is unacceptable. Speak up for a path forward to prevent gun violence.
I read the "real world" quote and I thought: "Does he know what he just said? That's like what the bad guy principal says to the upstart, rebel middle schoolers."
I thought it was more like "You cant handle the truth!" from A Few Good Men.
I suspect the protests and shouting are all scripted, part of a planned drama.
There will be dramatic tension, there will be conflict, there will be passion, there will be a crisis, and then there will be reconciliation.

Interesting that the pro-Hillary trolling stops the day DWS resigns. Orders from on high?
They're just waiting for the media to provide adequate cover..
What happens to those running for the presidency who collude with foreign governments to get themselves elected? Should Trump be given national security briefings? Maybe those briefings should be put on hold.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/07/25/fbi-suspects-russia-hacked-dnc-u-s-officials-say-it-was-to-elect-donald-trump.html
"The FBI suspects that Russian government hackers breached the networks of the Democratic National Committee and stole emails that were posted to the anti-secrecy site WikiLeaks on Friday. It’s an operation that several U.S. officials now suspect was a deliberate attempt to influence the presidential election in favor of Donald Trump, according to five individuals familiar with the investigation of the breach.
The theory that Moscow orchestrated the leaks to help Trump, who has repeatedly praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and practically called for the end of NATO, is fast gaining currency within the Obama administration because of the timing of the leaks and Trump’s own connections to the Russian government, the sources said on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing and developing quickly."
Like I said..

should be a constant refrain when any Republican is asked about this.
Followed with
'Funny, but whenever there have been exposes against Republicans, no one has ever concerned themselves with the identity or motives of the source, even though it's usually known to the reporter (who has the anonymous source).'
Isn't that the very notion of anonymous sources, that it doesn't matter who says it as long as it's true? How many hundreds or thousands of stories do you think have been fed into the Western media by Russian spies, and Soviet spies before that, knowingly and unknowingly, under media protection of anonymity? Purportedly the best of them will die to protect their sources.
And then they disclose or reveal the information itself at their pleasure . That tape of Obama at the Palestinian fundraiser is still in the vault in Los Angeles.
