"He's questioned the trade agreements. He's done some challenging of Wall Street – I don't know how authentic that is. He said he's against the carried interest racket, for hedge funds. He's funded himself and therefore attacked special interest money, which is very important. But he's lowered the level of political debate to unheard-of depths of salacious, slanderous and vacuousness, garnished with massive self-boosterism and repetition."

Poor Ralph. Trump has aced him out this year. And notice he agrees with all of the substance of what Trump has actually said, but the things he disagrees with Trump about are the things other people say about Trump.
That is classic #nevertrump.
Achilles sort of nailed it.
Nader is his own man, and to his credit, a Veteran. He wasn't in the military long, but he served honorably.
I always felt he took things to heart. He would have been another Obama, unwilling to compromise, and leaving the nation worse than he found it.
Besides that, I loved the Corvair, and it was no worse than a VW Bug.
I think Trump has it in him to compromise. I mean he's displayed that, if nothing else.

I live near Chicago, and I can't remember an election when the left didn't do all that and more. I even heard a radio ad telling African Americans that the Republicans wanted to re-enslave them.
Maybe Trump should take the high road. But maybe he's right to pay them back in their own coin.

I don't see how anyone who's actually looked at any of the elections in the US over the past few centuries can really believe this.
Thank heavens for Ralph Nader! Without him we'd have had Al Gore in the White House on 9/11.
Not sure how the alt-history plays out, Big Mike.
I think we get a pansy-ass response to 9-11 and a brilliant revolt in 2004 with a less-than-compassionate, honest-to-goodness conservative. But I am an optimist.
Perhaps Newt Gingrich will write that book some day.
Trump is bringing egotists of every stripe out of the woodwork. I would be surprised if Trump even bothers to notice Nader's comments. Most people think he's dead anyway.
Nader is also running for one of the positions on Harvard's elected board of trustees:

He's not one of the administration's "approved" candidates.
Nader gave us Bush Jr's presidency - he should be drawn and quartered in the town square.
How reasonable man.
Yeah, he might be a pretty good Democratic candidate.

Please. The Left has been sliming my people as "racist sexist homophobes" for the last 30 years. Go away with your faux concern over civility.

Nader's class consciousness is showing with this N.O.C.D. comment. Also that he does not know much history. Unheard of? By him maybe.
I think Nader just repeated my recommended reaction to Donald Trump: We desperately need what Trump has shown the guts to do to fix the horrible disasters we have been whistling past the grave yard and letting be done to us for 20 years, and Right After Trump has used blunt reality and fought to fix it for us, then we can throw him in the trash for being a vulgar asshole that we are all self righteously ashamed of.
There is nothing new under the sun.
Every four years Ralph Nader's name pops up and I think, "He's still alive? Well, a God bless him." He seems like a nice kook but he has a nasty streak in him like.most progs. Like the Bushes, for example.

So did Hitler. What's your point.
He made Corvairs collectable.
Seems you pTb slander is much less than the 10x paper cuts your press will inflict on any candidate not in main stream favor in the election, but just a little at a time. And your electorate will believe it in a large percentage anyway. Your polls show amazing acceptance as fact Mr. O's none U.S. birth, as well as Mr. Cruz and his father hosting Kennedy’s killer. And he always wraps these sorts of insults the way your big name mSM does, writing "others have reported" which for the 80% is enough to trigger the memory and bias. And the most hard hitting attacks and bad language have real basis in fact, just not very nice. "crooked Hillary" Is there any doubt,? " Ted the liar vice someone who says one things and does another" "low energy Jeb: and more. Majority must have some basis in fact or they wouldn't have such impact and coverage. Wink Wink being a politicians best friend in multiplying coverage. Your pTb just denied your press the opportunity to hurt the candidate later. He's doing you a favor by eliminating those candidates who are bound to lose earlier. Andy denying your press their usual sinful pleasure. Granted the silliness of don’t criticize a fellow publican go by the wayside, as should all nostrums that always lead to defeat. Good fun.
@Bob Nader and four other rich guys are running on a platform of, basically, giving the school away to any minority that wants it. I received a letter from former members of the football team drawing attention to their candidacy and urging a vote against (i.e. no vote). I was happy to comply. No matter how hard I try the composition of the Board of Overseers is always too liberal for the good of the University. Unfortunately, I only have one vote!
America owes a debt to Ralph Nader we can never repay: he kept Al Gore from being president.
