This may be more in the sense of postponing it until about now because Chelsea probably did want more tahn one child.

At some point people are gonna believe what they're gonna believe. While it certainly seems absurdly extreme to specifically plan a pregnancy to humanize the grandmother, keep in mind we're talking about:
- a person who perpetuated a false story in order to cover up a very serious mistake that resulted in the deaths of several Americans
- a person who then went on to lie right to the faces of the loved ones of those dead Americans
- a person who ran her own illegal private email server, sending and receiving classified messages for years, in order to have full control of all her information
and that's just the tip of the iceberg

Would people really want to vote for a grandmotherly president? I guess I don't understand the political calculus.
To me, a grandmother is meant to be nice and pleasant and taken care of. She is certainly protective of her family, particularly her grandchildren, but her family really has to look out for her because of her trusting nature. There are many, many flimflam men out there who prey on older women.
Maybe in the black community a grandmother is more commonly thought of as an actual leader, a matriarch.
Here's hoping the baby is happy and healthy.

I doubt Chelsea is planning her deliveries around her Mom's campaign. I'm less certain that Hillary!!! won't take advantage of it.

If it were anyone but the Clinton's the suggestion would be laughable. Hillary already has enough money, isn't in the best of shape and Bill being Bill no doubt he will be soon causing more problems, their foundation has more than enough assets to keep Chelsea employed for life so why doesn't she just give it a rest and enjoy being a grandmother? Do herself a world of good and the same for the country. I'm sure Trump or Cruz would quietly give her a blanket pardon for the good of the country.
I like Dana Perino. Someone criticized her for frowning at some remark. She said that the expression wasn't a frown, but just her crow's feet. That's a pretty good line. Women rarely offer self deprecatory humor about their crow's feet.

Pretty obvious from the video that they are joking around with the idea. Bolling and Perino are normally on The Five, which is semi-serious, and Perino is a regular on Red Eye which is non-serious.
I will admit however that Bolling is hacky enough that he might half-believe it really was timed. And it being the Clintons makes half-believing it not that outrageous a place to go.

You know, that'd be a really clever idea. Have Trump or Cruz promise to give a pardon to Hillary for the crimes she committed as Sec of State and with her Foundation. Mention it constantly.
I put nothing past the Clintons in terms of sneakiness and sheer political calculation, but I doubt this was timed. On the other hand, I can easily see Bill Clinton timing his fatal heart attack for October to give his wife maximum sympathy votes. Maybe that scenario is a bit too far fetched, but of all the living politicians the Clintons are the only ones I could see doing that.

We had an old lady run for Governor in Texas in 2006 as "One Tough Grandma". Carole Keeton Strayhorn was a Republican who couldn't beat Oops in the primary and ran as an independent. Her pop was the legendary dean of the Univ. of Texas Law School. Grandma, Kinky Friedman and some Democrat combined to capture 60% of the vote and re-elect Governor Oops. Actually, Grandma Strayhorn seemed pretty competent. The only thing I remember from her campaign the stripper tax she proposed.
