"So how are they coping? 'Alcohol,' the donor said."
From a WaPo article that begins "Being Jeb Bush these days means coping with a series of petty humiliations."

He'll stay in as long as the money keeps flowing. A lot of these candidates likely recall previous cycles when "dead" campaigns had late rises, such as Santorum's, Gingrich's (both in 2012) and McCain's back in 2008. And this time in 2003, a lot of people (including that moron Al Gore) were trying to tell other candidates to get out of the race because Howard Dean had it in the bag.
I don't see Jeb making a comeback, because he's too dry and uninteresting to shine through in a large field with a lot of fiery characters. We have three political novices (Trump, Fiorina, Carson), three Tea Partiers (Rubio, Cruz, Paul) and some colorful governors (Christie, Huckabee). It's hard to see a constituency calling for Jeb. But for him personally, it makes sense to hold out as long as possible on the chance there's a shakeup.
I have read that George H.W. Bush lost the 1992 election because he just could not believe he was losing to this Bonnie and Clyde couple from Arkansas and refused to take them serious.
Kerry could not believe he was losing to Bush in 2004.
Reality is tough.
Probably at Smith Point where all the Bushes hang out.
As long as Jeb has the funding what does he have to lose? While it isn't likely at this time he has a real shot at being the nominee his chances as of now aren't zero. Besides after raising all of the cash and not trying to use it for it's intended purpose will definitely ruin his chances of ever getting donors to contribute to any future campaigns he might contemplate.
Ego drives the Bushes of the world. It's a commonplace in politics of course. You'll see one now and then completely lost in the weeds and still acting like he's steering in the passing lane, like Bush is acting now. It would be pathetic if it wasn't funny. Because it's a politician beclowning his self, blinded by ego, it's hilarious.
The USS Yorktown hanger deck has a hugh Avenger Torpedo Bomber that Bush 41 flew into Japanese fire from that generation's religion of Peace. But that was when wars were still considered Wars To Be Won.
I believe JEB is a Dos Seqi guy. Borders, what borders you Trump Gringos.
I have a hard time having sympathy for people who are backing Jeb.
You say 'petty humilaitions'- I say microaggressions!
WaPost - excellent source for reporting on ANY Republican.

Santorum was the epitome of dry and uninteresting. He was however a protest candidate against the GOPe. Jeb wont make a comeback this time because he is in Romney's place and last time only half of us were fed up with the GOPe. Now we are all fed up with the DC crony crew and Bush rides with their standard.
Jeb will make a fine vice president for presidential candidate Cruz, and will help win Florida for the Republicans. Rubio will help, too, for a position in the Cabinet.
Trump? Make him SecDef and watch the explosions of heads.
