On the bike in the woods in the fall.

I didn't know Meade was over there photographing me.

As the kids say: she shreds.

Hmmm- All the videos following yours were about how to get a wedding ring off your finger.

Average joe, the YouTube videos you see following mine are 100% about you. Hmmm... or perhaps your wife was using your computer?

Nice video! Looks woodsy and peaceful.

Ann Althouse म्हणाले...

Yeah, I love the view through the woods.

Seems to me that could be any woman in a loose jacket and color-coordinated bicycle helmet.

@Meade, nothing personal, but I think you need to learn how to work the zoom.

Get that weight off those handlebars when going downhill. It's like trying to ice skate forward on your toes--needlessly unstable. A smaller bike would pose less an obstacle in climbing and descending, if you're willing to put the time in honing your sense of balance.

A little like a parakeet on wheels with that costume.

Aha, that would explain the videos about how to get a bucket off your head. Also the Google searches for arsenic, lime, and bone saws.

Ah, I think this chronicles the transition into old married love. Or perhaps I should say "stable" - "old" is considered pejorative in this culture. It's a wonderful thing.

One evening in my twenties I visited my parents only to find my father focused like a laser beam on the TV (he didn't watch it), taping the occasional camera glimpses of my mother on some fund-raiser or another. And I watched him, and I realized - this is what it is. This is true love.

I think this is a similar moment in the lives of you two.

What this video meant to me was that watching Ann climb the trail made me think of the years of daily blogging - that persistence in engagement with the outside world.

Very sweet.

Loved your take on this, MaxedOutMama and your recollection of your dad taping the glimpses of your mom touched my heart. It's always more about the little moments than the big gestures.
