Curious George said...: It's worse than you think...the move is to high deductible plans. Most of those exchange plans are bronze plans. You're not insured until you satisfy the deductible...hospitals are taking it in the shorts. Most of these emrollees have no way to pay deductibles...the fucking premiums are being subsidized. Medicaid (and Medicare) has expanded, but they have cut reimbursements so again hospitals (and docs) have taken a hit. And costs to bill government payers is very high on top of it. Next year, employer mandates. A lot of employers will be cutting people loose to go on the exchanges, and many those that don't will have to also move to high deductible plans.
