Kowtow?? The etymology is Chinese. Kissing the ground.

I dunno. I like women. If you're kissing the ground, then you need to aim just a bit higher.

Limbaugh is going on about abortion again, an apparent urge to pass ratings on to the competition, if there were any.

They should do nielson surveys on radio off.

Great example of the phenomenon I pointed out in the thread on the NYT article about Carly F. earlier-

Obamacare enrollment numbers - gross reported, net realized

The press (and, understandably, the Admin) talk about the number people who signed up over a given period, or if they really want to inflate their supposed gains they'll report the number of "newly insured" people (large percentages of whom got ins. through traditional employer plans and were newly-hired). They very pointedly do NOT report on the number of people who lost or dropped coverage during that same period. The article points out the Admin highlighting just under a million sign ups during a period, but during the same period 1.3M previously-enrolled people fell off the roll. Net O'Care lost people over that time, but the headlines talk about 1M people being added!

Carly F. touts HP's revenue (top line, gross number) and the NYTimes says that's misleading, she should report profitability (bottom line, net). Surely the same logic should apply to reporting on Obamacare, and any other gov. program, right?

I'll use this post as a café and just leave this here.

It's IN Wisconsin.

There's already a site up where people can check for email addresses from the Ashley Madison data breach.

Be kind to your co-workers today. Some of them might be a bit tense.

I don't mean the database files; I mean a user-friendly site where people enter an email, and it checks to see whether or not the email address is in the data and whether or not it was validated.

Kowtows?

He may well be preparing to do something she wants, but I would not say it was a kowtow.

Here's a legal question:

I assume that lots of prostitutes use sites like Ashley Madison to advertise. Since this data is now publicly exposed, is it fair game for law enforcement to use?

It's not a museum, it's really a store. And the owner is a douchenozzle.

Valley of Fire? First thing I think of is the old Valley of Dust and Fire expansion for the 2nd edition Dungeons & Dragons Dark Sun campaign setting. To this day I think Dark Sun was the most imaginative setting in the entire history of D&D. Basically it was a vast wasteland ravaged by magic, sort of like Mad Max meets Lord of the Rings with a touch of ancient Rome thrown in (city-states with gladiatorial arenas).

I kind of gathered that. Darn. I hate douchenozzles.

We should really just make prostitution legal, but both the R's and the D's would never go along. The R's because of the morality issues, and the D's because they hate the gig economy and would seek to regulate the hell out of it because #waronwomen.

My first guess is yes. It wasn't stolen, acquired by law enforcement....or was it??

Oh , no, clouds taking over.

The beautiful CO.. it does not compare with Althouse's pictures.. but.. it reminds me how beautiful CO is.

Try Calico Tanks hike in Red Rock Canyon or the Raintree Hike on Mt Charleston (or any others). Much prettier than VOF.

Or, another legal question, will this cause some divorce settlements to be revisited?
