Apparently, sterilized versions were sold in garden stores back in the day. I understand that even the sterilized versions are now "illegal" but this plant really is sterile. I'm familiar with plants moving around the garden (Solomon Seal, Jack-In-the-Pulpit, Bloodroot, pop up everywhere) but even though this plant makes copious seeds I have never seen a volunteer. I like the look of Purple Loosestrife. But as you say, you can't get it.

Here's a plant I do recommend: night-scented stock (Matthiola longipetala). Teeny flowers, powerful night-time sweet-smelling scent. I am hoping it re-seeds itself. We'll see next Spring.; ২৪/৭/১৫, ৪:৩৪ PM
