"Perhaps in 10 years we will see regulated breast milk readily for sale in supermarkets as society becomes more open-minded."

"It might remain a fringe activity or it could become a regular thing that mothers do to generate extra income during maternity leave. In the meantime, the 'breast milk men' will continue to meet mothers on street corners, in pubs and outside train stations in the search of their next fix."

I think the idea is udderly ridiculous. Isn't all milk breast milk?

Why don't you just go ahead and officially name Lazlo co-blogger.

It's much easier to digest human flesh too. That's why kids eat scabs. It's a natural food!

"Will continue"? I thought they were talking about replacing formula, but "milk men"? Is there that much of a market among adults?

[Breast milk] contains metabolic fuels and the raw materials needed to aid tissue growth and development, such as fatty acids, amino acids and minerals.

Wow! With organic compounds like that in it, that must be why they call it milk!

'Cause, you know, unlike humans, little cows, goats, yaks, buffalo, etc. just don't need materials for tissue growth & development, the clever little devils, so you just don't find that stuff in their milk.

Strangely enough, I'm left with more sympathy for the straight-from-the-boob perverts than the body-builders. At least, the perverts aren't making dubious biochemical claims.

Yes, I'm sure the problem is that we aren't open-minded enough. As usual.

There once was a lad from Moline
Who was weaned at the age of nineteen.
Said he, "I'll admit
There's no milk in the tit,
But think of the fun that it's been. "

Sure, why not. Womb banks and milk stations. That sounds like an efficient use of renewable resources. The commodity classification of human life from conception to death is assured. You've come a long way, baby.

My friend once toyed around with the idea of selling her milk, thinking she'd help out some poor, young mother.

She only got interest from guys. She just couldn't do it.

As I'm nursing right now, I have to admit I was a little curious about how much I could sell extra milk for. I don't know how some of those ladies do it though. I hate pumping; so no amount of money is really going to get me to do it.
