"Al Gore: a man so accomplished that the low point of his career was winning a presidential election."

A one-liner that you will howl at one way or another.

Howl? Please.

I would have thought the low point of his career was missing the 1992 primary season because his child was injured.

Low point was heavy breathing at W during debate.

High point was the Tipper [faked] kiss.

He's too mechanical

Brent said...

A man so accomplished that masseuses pay HIM for sex.

Michael K said...

His high point was selling his vote for the Gulf War.

High point was inventing the Internet.

Low point was getting fat and growing that awful beard.

hahahaha. it made me laugh. Not many things related to Al Gore, other than his Global Warming predictions, make me laugh

Gore, do not waste your time like GOP.

HRC is the 45th POTUS.
Resistance is futile.
The Clintons are coming to take back The White House.

You know what? There was a con man who sold the Eiffle Tower to a scrap metal dealer.

Came back later and sold it to the firt scrap metal guys rival.

Al Gore belongs in that book. Man became a billionaire using the fact that the weather changes. Pretty much every prediction failed to come true yet he continues to rake it in.
Just fucking amazing, is all.

Gore believes in exercising power. He was raised in DC during the 1950s when DC had all of the power that existed except for some that pesky Joe Stalin had.

He wants those days back. Gore goes around pretending the worship of scientists can recreate the world changing days of antibiotics, polio vaccine and H-Bombs that are 800 times the power of Hiroshima Atom Bombs. That is his fatal mistake.

Go ahead. Nominate him, Dems. See what happens.

I dare you.

I've got to hand it to Gore: He practically invented Global Warming and he made the bulk of his fortune by selling his cable channel to an oil sheikdom.

Gore: Richer than Romney. Very...productive.

No Aaron Schock post? Wow?

She's gone-headed to West Hollywood-with her amazing pecs!

Gore is bad too!

It is clever - he won the popular vote but not the electoral college, so Bush won the election. Hence the low point.

Kinda like racking up the most yards in football while still losing 14-3. But then, if yards gained determined the winner instead of score, teams would play much differently. Why punt on 4th and 3 when you can rack up 2 more yards?

I've never understood how the Left could be so stupid with this "popular vote" complaint. You can't say Gore would have won, because if popular vote was the decider, both campaigns would have focused on high population areas instead.

Geez Louise; there were multiple low points when he failed to complete several different college programs.

And then maybe another low point was when the Portland hotel masseuse wasn't too interested in helping the fat tub Goracle release his "second chakra" or something.

I never understood his hard turn to the left in the campaign. I just assumed he would campaign on the promise of continuing Bill's policies but keep his dick in his pants. He might have carried Tennessee then.

Come on Al, PLEASE run. Please!

With the First Grifter in one corner and the Dinbat VP (Biden, not Al) in another and a wannabe Indian in another, then we sure could use ANOTHER dinbat VP for laughs.

Can't wait for him to explain his yachts and mansions while crying global warming.

And moving cross stage to "intimidate" Bush by encroaching on his space.Bush then destroyed Gore's manhood with a fleeting glance. For anyone who saw it, that was indeed Gore's low point.

Beldar said...

@ David: I'd call Dubya's reaction to the personal space invasion actually more of a "double-take," but I agree that moment was indeed the highlight of the debates and indeed of Gore's career.

Gore, like Robert Bork, confirmed he was the wrong man for the job. He's a sleeze.

Who can stop ManBearPig?

Most of the damage an Al Gore presidency would cause will happen when we've all tuned to the Home Shopping Network in desperate search of exciting and intellectually stimulating wit and repartee (those of us who still have money, that is)

Wooden.

A friend who leans decided left just a few weeks ago claimed the whole course of the 21st century so far is the result of the shooting at Columbine High School. In broad strokes his theory was those murders and woundings stirred the country in favor of strict gun control. In response the NRA fueled GWB's campaign with enough cash to win the Electoral College. From there his theory lurched from counter factual to just plain looney tunes. Since the theorist is a dear friend I didn't let fly with both barrels loaded with double-ought, as it were. Instead I used the rare yet appropriately derisive word cockamamie, perhaps for the first time in my life. That shut him up completely.

Ya gotta give the guy credit. He can sell disaster. It it tsunamis instead of glpbal warming, folks in Iowa would be building skyscrapers.

Dress up the pig all you want, but the fact remains that Gore lost a race that could hardly have been more winnable. His ability to blow it so badly (and lose it by a single electoral vote!) should have made him a laughing stock, except the swampy Left still carries on like he's a hero, giving him Oscars and Nobel Prizes and trying to keep him relevant. Sadly though, even the mainstream Left sees him as a has-been. Getting him into this race would do nothing more than add further humiliation to an already humiliated man.

MAJMike said...

I thought that his low point was his not getting a "happy ending" from that masseuse. Life is tough when your chakra needs adjustment.

D's should run Algore in 2016, thereby ensuring Walker's election, and then john Kerry in 2020, thereby ensuring Walker's reelection.

Then Hillary! in 2024. A girl must wait her turn.

That's the winning ticket.

Gore is a liar and a fraudster. Made much of his fortune shaking down big companies for board seats so they would look good on AGW. Has the carbon footprint of a small city.

The Al Sharpton of AGW.

stan said...

The low point for Gore was flunking out of divinity school because he couldn't handle all the drugs he was doing. Then dropping out of law school.

stan said...

Or it might have been the fraudulent law memo he used in Florida to persuade election commissions run by Democrats to throw out thousands of legal votes by people in the military because they favored Bush.

Count every vote! Except the ones of military personnel.
