From a NYT op-ed title "How to Be Invisible," by Akiko Busch, author of the book “The Incidental Steward: Reflections on Citizen Science.”

Akiko Busch, would you stand up, please?..... Akiko Busch has learnt the first lesson of not being seen: don't stand up. However, she has chosen a rather obvious hiding place. (Explosion)
When circumstance confers invisibility upon us . . . . Some are born invisible, some achieve invisibility, and some have invisibility thrust upon them.

"However, she has chosen a rather obvious hiding place."
Neil Armstrong's closet?

When, once a year or so, I get a bike breakdown and start pushing it home, I will get no fewer than a half dozen ride offers.
Everybody knows me.
You are not invisible unless you're in a car.
Women over the age of 50 are invisible.
The title "How to Be Invisible" suggests the article will contain instruction, guidance, or tips on how to be invisible.
They are very will hidden.
"Women over the age of 50 are invisible"
Something tells me we'll be seeing a lot of a certain women over 50 in the next 2 years.
My invisibility allows me to get free electricity off Monopolated Light & Power Company
