Because there are unspeakable horrors that lurk in the ocean's darkest depths which could do a better job in office than some I've seen in my lifetime.

ken in tx বলেছেন...: I once tried to explain, unsuccessfully, to a full colonel in the air force, when I was a captain, the word 'Marine' on a German aircraft on our ramp did not mean it belonged to the German Marines. It belonged to the German Navy. He could not accept such an idea.

ken in tx বলেছেন...: Some of those in the Air force senior enlisted and Jr. officers were convinced that part of your brain was removed when you got promoted to Colonel. I don't think that is true. I think they only promote people who have brain damage. It's part of affirmative action.
